    Great video! A real pleasure to watch without disruptive adverts. A lot of respect to you for making that decision!
    Personally I think it's safer to have higher speeds to keep up with road traffic. It gets twitchy as drivers are getting impatient to get around you because you are stuck at 16mph. There's a lot of rubbish drivers that can't judge distance to drive around a cyclist safely.
    I ride derestricted in commuting times so keeping up with traffic I am doing about 20mph. I feel much more safer by going over speed sensibly. Sadly the law doesn't see it that way.
    It would be a different matter if I was riding above 16mph without helmet and recklessly.

    • @e-VRC
      @e-VRC  10 місяців тому +2

      Thanks glad you enjoy the viewing experience 😁 I'd usually say that drivers can get past a 16mph rider pretty quickly but maybe it's more about minimising the amount of drivers going past you by going a bit faster.

    I love Coswheel bikes but one of the reasons I haven't bought one is because of the lack of reviews...
    In the end i've bought a Super73 S2 and I'm pretty happy with it but if I had to choose today... I might make a different choice :
    Super73 advantages :
    - possess an official EN15194 certificate so is 100% allowed on road in France (250w / 15.5mph / no throttle)
    - use torque sensor that makes it way more smooth to ride while pedaling compared to a lot of similar bike
    - still can go on offroad mode on private road (1200w (2000w peak power) / 28mph / full throttle)
    - big community for custom parts (like plug&play headlights, turn signals etc... Not that it is a real advantage here as the CT20S is already equipped with thoses !)
    Coswheel advantages :
    - more power and way more torque ! (S73 does not communicate on it, but torque is estimated around 60ish nm... Only half as much as the Coswheel 🤯)
    - less expensive (S73 S2 is 3999€ + 400€ for loomenade headlight and turn signals / Coswheel is 2217€ or 2657€ depending if the VAT is already included or due later... Still an impressive 1800€ less on the worst case scenario)
    - bigger battery and higher voltage (S73 : 48v20Ah = 960wh / Coswheel : 60v27.5Ah = 1620wh )
    - fully suspended
    The only redlight (but it is a very important one) is the legal aspect of using it...

    I had the gt20 before it was stolen, i can say the quality of these bikes are amazing and they are so torquey. Mine was only a 48v 1500w, but still moved like the wind and even the steepest hill on throttle only was a piece of cake. hi there, thanks for making this review- adds alot of buyer confidence which helps when buying these seemingly too good to be true ebikes. two questions:
    1- is the seat long enough to be able to fit two people? that would be the main advantage in my eyes in getting it over the coswheel m20. being able to sit 2 people makes it have social capabilities which is great.
    2- due to the flashy designs of these ones, I fear their more bait compared to some more tame looking high powered ebikes like the gf750. earlier in the video you stressed out when riding past police and i reckon thats something I would also worry alot about. even when your pedalling slowly i fear that theyd look at it and find it too powerfull lookint to pass as an epac bycicle.
    but yeah let me know what you think- im basiclaly trying to decide which bike i should get, one of the coswheel's or the gf750, since it is perfectly adapted for sitting 2 people, although its frame is a bit ugly

    • @e-VRC
      @e-VRC  4 місяці тому +1

      @@aeneas1677 the only advantage of this one over the standard model is the extra speed. The standard is decently fast though. The S is not really designed for 2 people but it could probably be done if the rider was more forward but it wouldn't be comfortable. I've had my son sit in front of me when I've given him a ride but he wasn't on the cushion.
      I really like this bike it's so much fun but I could never use it as a daily driver just because I'd be too paranoid as you saw. If I had more time I'd look into getting it registered because I'd really love to use it stress free to get about.

    • @aeneas1677
      @aeneas1677 4 місяці тому

      @@e-VRC thanks for the clarification- I do agree it seems risky to ride it around as your daily. - another question- from your opinion as someone who has ridden many ebikes, where do you personally draw the line in terms of risk of getting caught? is it based on the bikes look or the bike speed? For example here in london many food delivery drivers go around on fat tire foldeables which are all 500-750 watts but because the bikes look fairly unassuming i doubt there's any risk involved in driving one of them. If it is look- what ebike design do you reckon pushes it the most in terms of going fast and looking sleek whilst still looking unassuming enough so much so that if you were to peddle past police they wouldnt turn their heads? thanks

    • @e-VRC
      @e-VRC  4 місяці тому

    It’s good to see that there looking at changing the watts to 500w and letting throttles. There is already now doing throttles but still limits to 15.5 and 250w. But it’s start. Personally 500w is still a tad naff but better. But like so many companies import and sell 750w e-bikes and way more watts. In my books 750w makes a sence. But at least there looking into it.

    Great video as always, you always come across as a very relatable dude which is great.
    I had a powerful ebike and I sold it and bought a legal version for this very reason, I'm not someone who's intimidated by the police at all but I use my ebike to commute and getting stopped would just be a load of hassle, I just want to get to work not make detours down side streets.
    If they eventually sort the laws out then it may be a different picture, but I feel that will come with the price tag of tax and Insurance, but the latter I think should be mandatory for any cyclist that uses the roads.

      All that's happening at the minute in cities is less than desirable individuals are flying about on e-scooters etc with little concern for public safety, the public see this and think these scooters are dangerous I'm glad they're not legal. I wish people would understand that if every day law abiding folk were allowed to use them it would be a different picture.
      That's just one example, but it's damaging our passion the government need to get their finger out and stop with this consultation nonsense that goes on for years.

    I don't want to piss on anyone's chips and I like this channel, but that's ludicrous. It's not an ebike, it's an electrically powered motorbike with a set of peddles bolted on. Hiding from the cops says it all. Can you imagine someone coming along a pavement or a cycle path on one of these things with kids, pets, elderly people about. Yeah it looks cool and I've no issue with people riding one in the right place (the road) but if you want to do 40 mph, get it registered properly and wear the right stuff. If you come off that at speed with a normal cycle helmet on, you're asking for severe injury (or causing it). I realise many will disagree and I'm likely in a minority here. Not looking for a fight.

      Pretty much agree with everything you've said. I want to look into getting this registered if possible. The hiding thing TBF is me being paranoid because of the way it looks. But also left it in because it's kinda funny.
