Sweet Angela, we love your walk down memory lane. Tiffany's 'Could've Been' came along at the time of Debbie Gibson, where many record companies were looking for the new breakout popstar. The song is beautiful, complete with a nice guitar solo from session great Dann Huff. GREAT REACTION!
Known as the Queen of the Malls, teenaged Tiffany Darwisch of Van Nuys, CA, became a sensation in the mid to late 1980s, along with Debbie Gibson. The media tried to pit them against each other because of their similar success at such a young age. Not that long ago, they teamed up. They also leaned into the so-called rivalry when they both appeared in a campy sci-fi schlock for SYFY channel, Megapython vs. Gatoroid. She still has that powerhouse voice. She had hits like I Think We're Alone Now, I Saw Him Standing There, All this Time (a song I think you'd like), Here in My Heart, Hold an Old Friend's Hand, Oh Jackie, Radio Romance, Danny (I love that song!), and It's the Lover (Not the Love).
Does she still perform? It's so scary how time goes by so quickly! Tiffany and Debbie Gibson were popular around that time, now it's Katy Perry, Olivia Rodrigo, although Katy has been out of the picture for some time, and the mega popular Taylor Swift, among countless others! 😢It's sad how eveything just happens, people come and go, and all things and people just become a nostalgic memory! I hope a happy ending is waiting for us! Until next week, bye!
In my opinion she sounded the best singing this song in the UA-cam clips from 07-08. She had to have been in her mid to late 40s and maybe had to dial things down a half step or so because of age and all. But with her mature voice having that hint of raspiness it brings a different dimension to the song. Same thing could be said for her other ballad “All This Time”.
Angela, Tiffany was a sweet voice of the 80’s. I Think We’re Alone Now was her monster hit but this was also nice. I want to recommend a future Ladies Night Friday for you. You often refer to someone as Her Voice! Well to me recently, this artist is Her Voice of the current generation. I’m an OG fan of Kacie so this is coming from an older guy. I never thought I’d think that again. Never say never. This singer has been accused of lip syncing to a Carpenters audio track. How’s that for a compliment? I’d like you to check her out. What I hope you’ll do is watch the Short video of her covering a song, I know you know. Goodbye To Love. I’m using this as a proof of concept. On UA-cam it has maybe 4K views. On “I” it has 1.2M views. ua-cam.com/video/lzGAhBT-zTg/v-deo.htmlsi=H98DdlHVK_XkKoRj If you like it then the song I’m requesting is an audio only cover of a classic, but with a new arrangement, Georgia On My Mind. It is a full length track. This is in her own voice, she’s not covering Ray. The singer is Tori Holub (soft vowels for her last name). She is a 20 year old singer, multi-instrumentalist and Carpenters super-fan. She can sing and can engineer. So both siblings are her inspiration. The short is self produced. Georgia was professionally produced. As one last note of information. She is one of a handful of invited guest singers to the Carpenters 55th Anniversary Celebration in Downey CA, next month. I hope I’ve given you enough reason to listen and react. Do you take donation for a reaction? I couldn’t find that info but you said to leave a request in the comments so I’m doing that. I thought I was subscribed but I fixed that. I’ve had others that I thought I was subscribed to fall off. Sigh. Thanks for reading! Joe ua-cam.com/video/DSoJ-mrl1mA/v-deo.htmlsi=Z_wOpZJlZqffOCez .

GREAT REACTION!
A lot of people say her song I think we’re alone now is the best, but I think it’s this one

Remember Tiffany was only 16 when this came out plus her and Debbie Gibson were rivals

You should some more Righteous Bros. "I Just Want To Make Love To you" is a real soul sound by them.
Awe yes, my freshman year of highschool...holy hell time went by sooo fast it's incredible...✌🏻🇺🇸
Live = subpar
Oh you mean you can't judge real talent, apparently. You would prefer the squeaky autotunes of the garbage that has come later, especially recently.
@@jbjacobs9514 what an idiot
Terrible song..still waiting for you to recapture your former greatness
Luckily, we're not waiting for you to recapture yours because no one cares.
May I suggest a couple of my "guilty pleasure" songs from the past.
Ed Sheeran (Perfect) and David Archuleta (Crush).
