Minimax is definitely the runway killer and Luma too. Luma doesn’t even have an unlimited plan and they’re in a far third behind Kling and Minimax. Kling is still king for the moment. All the picture to video stuff I’ve seen done in 1.5 is really on the level of not being able to tell it’s Ai.
Kling 1.5 is the current king. MiniMax should’ve been compared to Kling, not Runway. Flux seems to outperform Midjourney in realism but not in cinematic compositions. However, it would be nice to see in-depth comparison between the two. Midjourney sucks with text and wide shots of consistent characters. Flux seems to do better job in keeping characters consistent too. Great informative video from you guys, as always!

PJ is a great filmmaker. I met him at an international film festival in Orlando some years ago. Have been following his work ever since. Once he entered the space I knew there would be some positive traction in the right direction regardless of the anti AI crowd. Only up from here as the tools continue to improve.

I've done like 100 generations of face portraits in minimax with their free trial, and the emotion and body language of people, when standing still, is the best I've seen so far.
I loved PJ Ace's process and how he handled all the outrage when Ai does a spectacular job and people hate that. It's like a double win pissing them off. He's right about Ai encompasses the entire production aspect over film schools, that have you develop a skill in just one craft, costume, set design, sound design, etc. You really are running all areas of a movie production by yourself. 16:52 Caleb's face. Minimax is flexible, but Runway excels with more comprehensive features. You explained the differences between Minimax and Runway in a clear and engaging way!

The original audio is almost perfect. Especially if you want to do a documentary and sometimes have the person to appear in between footage. Also, it would be interesting for acting.

The good news is this is the worst it will be, it will only get better. I think about the independent films I made in the 90s and 2000s and how I will eventually be able to give them life in a way, I never could due to budget constraints and practical FX. But the problem is that since Mini Max made the image available as a video, there has been a lot of pressure on the site. I mean, before, when you wrote a text to convert it to a video, it did not take a minute or maybe less to get a result. Now you wait half an hour or maybe more.
Might be better to do this than buy extra credits. Cling is 35 credits. So 30 beats 35. Also pika does a $10 . Sometimes real easy shots can be done in lesser video generators.

MiniMax's paid plans include early access to new features. Have any new features been announced or hinted at? Is there a public roadmap that shows what they want to bring out over the next few years? Is it possible to sign up to beta test upcoming features? Adobe's MAX 2024 starts tomorrow, and I'm hoping that's when they'll roll out generative fill for Premiere Pro. They rolled out generative extend today for the beta version, and I can't wait to see what people do with it.
Im still learning AI movie making, I am a 3d artist/animator and was against AI a year ago and now I realized its not only going to reshape how film and animation in the industry but I think it will dominate the movie making versus the traditional 3d animation and rendering in the coming years. AI is practical, prompting however really depends on each individual how they can do spot on result, I have numerous trial and error but at the end of the day its satisfactory result. I like Minimax/Hailuo I think they are excellent tool.
I just subscribed to mini max and been using Kling for a bit. Both are good but I found Mini max has better adherences to prompts with image to video anyway. I have a heck of a time and never really suceeded getting a warrior woman to walk forward ... she kept walking backwards but mini max did great. I also used mini max to prompt two animated pod cast hosts to use with google notebook to make a pod cast. Minimax was the only one that worked properly for getting one character to talk while the other was just listening with both on the screen.

It’s difficult to watch the “movie” when it’s just jump cutting from one 5 second clip to another. It’s not good. We need longer shots, panning shots etc. It has a long way to go yet.
This is going to change society in unpredictable ways. For example: TV personalities or famous people, may or may not even be real. It will become almost impossible to tell. How many of you have ever seen your favorite famous person in real life? There will be no method of validating a person is real or not. An average person, any person, could make themselves famous by creating their own reality show of them doing exciting things in unusual places. I'm sure there are 1000s of examples I'd love to hear! Please share!
Minimax or Runway, can you plz explain how to continue to further shots with same scene, consistent character, and camera moves when we are creating a movie? because all the view gets changed for next shot, and sometimes character as well. Every expert on youtube is showing just 1 shot. Please let us learn to shoot a scene of 6 shots, 3 minutes long, showing 7 friends. Refer to any sample scene from series FRIENDS. Many thanks

Uh I would take a look at those terms really closely. They had rights to clone you...I get that this is what is needed to show your clone to you; but, I think they OWN the clone and, hence, can have it do anything they wanted in the future. So, be careful.
Actually hailuoai is the best generator till now, but the point is here, in hailuoai it is all about prompting. If your prompt is better it would give better results am 💯 sure no other generator will come close to it . I created 500 videos till now and am saying this will experience

Their not ready for realistic videos. Too short, 99% are distorted. Animation on the other hand. If someone would release a video model trained in 4x animation styles you could make a ton of money.
Tip: When you tout yourselves as the wunderkinds of AI filmmaking, maybe you should take a little time to learn how to prompt in Midjourney to achieve your desired result before you try side by side comparisons with other products? Just sayin'.

Every other video you put out you make claims that this or that product is the new Midjourney "killer," then proceed to make comparisons by rolling a single poorly prompted image (probably the worst of the selection), then making claims like "this isn't as good" or this isn't what we wanted." I've watched a lot of your videos and so far I haven't seen you use a single MJ prompt that taps into the full power and range of the program. And you're out there spouting how you can teach the world how to use AI to make films! For anyone who actually uses MJ you show yourself up as a total amateur with way more to learn than teach. It's 30 credits per generation. So 1000 will give you 33 generations ( which isn't much for the power user)

Out of 33 u realistically have 1 or 2 usable ones if u are serious about your vision

@EBee-zn4ys 10 seconds is the most you can do. So you have to do 3 10 second clips then edit them to make one seamless 30 second clip.
The best thing to do is get the generations (5-10seconds) and edit them together for best quality.

@ Yep. That's how you position yourselves in the market. Every other video you put out you make claims that this or that product is the new Midjourney "killer," then proceed to make comparisons by rolling a single poorly prompted image (probably the worst of the selection), then making claims like "this isn't as good" or this isn't what we wanted." I've watched a lot of your videos and so far I haven't seen you use a single MJ prompt that taps into the full power and range of the program. And you're out there spouting how you can teach the world how to use AI to make films! For anyone who actually uses MJ you show yourself up as a total amateur with way more to learn than teach. School up, kid.

I canceled runway, its fraud to expensive and its capabilities average nothing outstanding just beautifull colors, but i payed because of the marketing

Runway Generation certainly has some limitations, but they have an entire suite of tools that people can enjoy that other products don't.
