Neal! You saved me again man... I bought one of those after market modded vostok bezels... it spun pretty loose AND it could be removed from the watch without any tools! After this video, it is tightened up solid. I thought I had flushed money down the tubes with that new bezel being loose... But you saved my neck. Thanks bro! Keep em coming.

Mine was very loose. I made it too tight and when I put pressure on the bezel like to take it off it kind of self adjusted. Thanks for the vid it really helped man.
Good idea but I don’t think the copper wired is designed to be tightened since once I bend it the wire becomes too short the way not all parts of it touches the bezel. In the end I cannot fit the bezel. The wire needs to be a bit longer in the way that even when bent all parts of the wire should touch the bezel.
I just did this to mine, got it and out of the box the bezel was so tight it was immobile, after a bit of spring tweaking it's now perfect, I also added a very small amount of light oil to prevent corrosion of the spring against the case since they appear to be different metals.
Heh heh nice! I have a ton of these. And the trick actually does work for a vintage Rolex 1675 as well. Even though my particular Rolex was, shall we say, not made in Switzerland and also is not actually very vintage ....
I got my amphibia today and the first thing was to tighten the bezel. It was sucha pain-in-the ass that I swear I feel like I just graduated and became a better man after I succesfully tightened it. It did not want to come off and it certainly did not want to get back on :D but I do love tha watch and everything that comes with it
the tape on the butter knife is a good tip, i've tried with a glasses cleaning cloth over the knife but the gap's too tight and the knife doesn't "cut" it hahaha, with the tape it's mega easy
Hi, thanks for the video. I have a question. While taking off the bezel on my new Komandirskie, the acrylic crystal also popped out and I didn't notice a rubber washer under it. So, I popped it back in. My question is how does the watch stay watertight without a washer? (like the washer in the back). Thank you in advance for your feedback.
I just got the Amphibia Scuba Dude, and the bezel is really tight whereas my other scuba dude's bezel is less tight. I'll go and check with a watch repair shop and ask if they can fix it as you show in the video. Will get back to you how it went ☺️
Seems the bezel "tightness" (or lack of) is a common problem even in new watches. I have a simple solution: demand the supplier refund or replace with properly functioning bezel. The better alternative would be for Vostock to simply improve QC in this area. How hard can it be? And a thankyou to Heart of Texas Armory for a really practical & helpful video.
I've struggled a lot with this and my conclusion is that changing the wire angles does very little. No matter what angle you set, the wire will conform to the bezel in the end. If the bezel is too loose, like it was the case for me, the only thing that helped was actually slightly bending the straight segments in. A bit hard to explain but basically you want more wire to show when installed into the groove. But it needs to be very precise as bending it just slightly more can cause the bezel to be too tight.

I like ballistol for everything else though im not sure if it could do harm to a watch, maybe rubbing alcohol or like olive oil would be better.

I tried the same thing with the bezel of my Pagani Design Sub Hommage and now Im not able to get in back on :(
Does this have to be done on an empty case, or can the bezel be removed and adjusted with the rest of the watch intact?

Yes pretty much all of the friction bi directional Vostok's will use the wire.
