Thanks a million! I followed your instructions exactly but on my Karcher steamer SC 3.000 and the cap unscrewed immediately after the final 10 minutes as you recommended😊
Thank you so much for sharing! I was all set to destroy it with a screw driver and a hammer. Had to do it twice and also added a bit of water at the top next to the cap itself (not sure if that really helped) but it came off.
Thank you so much. This worked for me 👌 I found it important to allow enough t time to cool down. It didn’t work straight away but i went away and did something else while it cooled then it worked 🎉
i have karcher streamer SC 1.020 and I am trying for second time to release the valve, so far not sucessful but i am very confident I will get to unstuck since I read up some other comments that was trying before give up over all.
I tried as shown but it didn't work , the nozzle didn't suck up the water . However after the 3rd go at heating and releasing air and letting it cool down the plug did unscrew . I think the alkaline build up must be an issue .
Thank you for this video! I have a Phantom that has been in storage since 2007. Cap is stuck. At least this gives me something to try. Still haven't been able to remove cap, but I did get it to take up water, heat up, and produce steam for the first time in 14 years.
No, it happens after the device isn't used for a prolonged period of time. In my example I didn't use it for over two years. Once unstuck it didn't get stuck again even after not being used for months.
@@thedorde7114 thanks for the reply. If you are using it fairly frequently, are you able to refill after about 3-5 minutes of usage? I read others saying that the filler cap is too hot to the touch or that it is under pressure and so one has to wait for it to cool down before one is able to refill water.
@@rockybukus i had no issues refilling it a minute after turning it off. Just have to make sure that all pressure was released. Major drawbacks of this steam cleaner is that the nozzle and container are in the same housing so it's hard to sometimes get all the nooks and crannies. So I would go with the sc-2. Will be a much better solution.
@@thedorde7114 I went to the Karcher centre and the staff confirmed that I won't be able to refill the water tank immediately after each use. The staff mentioned that I have to wait about 30 minutes after each use before I am able to refill. Thanks.
I repeated your instructions three times and the filler cap finally came free. Thank you!
Thanks a ton, i didnt notice any water coming in, but i tried 9 times and was about to throw it away, decided to try one more time and it unlocked!
Thank you for this video. I've been trying to unsuccessfully remove the top for over an hour 😀
I added a little White vinegar to help … it went rrreally fast ! Great hack & vdo. Thank You

The idea worked, but I had to use a syringe to add water to the article. after that it worked without problems. thank you
Because of you I don't have to call my ex... thanks a lottt!!!

Thanks, this helped so much ! Had to do it twice with some vinegar on the top to help ease with the limestone. But it ended up opening ! Great Tip !

Thanks for this video! I was told if I couldn't get the cap off to toss my streamer. This video came right on time.

Amazing hack! Worked perfectly…
Worked exactly as described. Thank you, I would have had to scrap it. Will store without cap on in future!
Thanks you so much ❤ this helped me
Awesome , worked immediately! Thank you & to you tube too!,
Nice instruction ! I almost destroy the filler 😅
Doesn’t work at all. Water doesn’t get sucked in
I have the same dont getting in water
Gracias , me sirvió con una karcher SC2 Deluxe Great
Thanks , worked a treat..
Water isn't going in for me
Can you say this bro "safety is the number 1 priority"
Can you please help me? I have the same problem but when trying to put water as you do I don’t see anything happen and water is not getting in
For me too 😵💫🤦♀️
And me 😪
you can get water in with a syringe. push water in through the outlet. note - make sure the the machine is cool when doing this.
Technique failed. Steamer didn’t get any water in even after keeping it on for an hour
Does this stuck filler cap issue happen with every use? Would get the SC2 over the SC1 if it is the case.

@@thedorde7114 which was the original tutorial you mentioned? I am trying to follow yours but it does not get the cap off 😭
It won’t open with me i try 😑
I have the exact same problem. Thanks!
Thank you!!❤
Did not work, water is not sucking in😢
Once you press the button after dipping it in water, it just doest start sucking in water. Did anyone else face the same issue? Help please...
That's what you want to happen, you want the tank to fill a little bit of water so that i can generate steam and that will loosen the cap.
Thank you!
Thank you🎉🎉🎉🎉
I just bought it, and the salesperson remind me to press the button while unscrewing the cap. Before doing this, unplug the wire first.
Just release the pressure that's all
Thanks I was going to buy this. Now I’m not.
I don’t understand a word
It scared tve shitoutofme hahaha
