Yes if I am correct it is the story of Helen Keller. Basically Helen caught a sickness when she was very young which caused her to become blind and deaf. She struggled with her blindness and deafness for a whole, then a woman came to teach her how to eat properly and how to do sign language, and in the end the yeachers work paid off after thinking she was unsuccessful

This is a horribly dehumanizing depiction of such a wonderful woman. Historically, Helen Keller had communication before Miss Sullivan arrived. She definitely helped in Helen's education, but to give her all the credit for "helping this poor, helpless, feral child find a language" is not only misinformation. It's disgusting.
