Crater lake is absolutely beautiful. Sorry about your boat tour. The blue waters are stunning!! Thank you for this wonderful video. Big hugs to the puppies❤️❤️🇨🇦
Crater Lake is just gorgeous…we’ve been there a few times, and it stuns each time. I am sooooo sorry you arrived just in time for all that smoke! Our last time in Oregon, there was massive fires nearly all over the state, making it very difficult to breathe. There is just NO BLUE like the blue of Crater Lake. BTW, I’m literally breathing hard just watching you two. I love how you made a bad situation and still turned it into a lovely video! Thank you! Love You Guys, Virginia ❤️
Stunning is the only word that comes to mind for Crate Lake. Breathtakingly stunning! It's probably a good thing they closed the boat tours because not only would it impact the views, but you'd be breathing in a lot of smoke. Supper and pie sounds like a great alternative. Take care & safe travels.
Crater Lake is the bluest of blues! Loved the “ranger” explanation! We used to do a 3 week camping trip from Southern California to Oregon every year and sadly the fires and smoke were horrendous on a lot of those trips.
That Ranger did a great job explaining that. Haha so fun! Yes, the smoke seems to be bad around that time of year. We got to see it again last week covered in snow. So beautiful!
A few years ago around the late 2000s a car went over the side and went 1,300 feet before it stopped and the inside the van managed to get out around 700 feet, totally made the news here, nobody was hurt including the dog
The last time we were at Crater Lake was in mid-June of 2021, and we were shocked at how much snow there still was! We had a snowball fight with our then six year-old daughter and listened to Christmas music! Maybe you can visit again outside of smoke season, which August is right in the middle of in the PNW.
Sorry about the smoke!! We were there end of August too. Fortunately we had one fairly clear day before the smoke got too bad. Good call on heading out early!👍😊
Glad you got a clear day! We were back in the area last week and got to see it snow covered, which was beautiful!! Leaving early was definitely the right call, it was even hard to breathe!
@@NewstateNomads I saw on IG y’all were there with the snowfall before the eclipse. 💯good call….the air was very unhealthy around Labor Day, we scooted NE a bit too☺️
Beautiful! Definitely on the bucket list. I believe I can make it there in the not too distant future. The water is something else. Oregon is more of a state park place…lol. They have state parks going all down the coast.
I live an hour away and I can't tell you how many times I have been there, Rogue River Oregon. Oh man the smoke was bad down here too, you should check out the Indigenous peoples legend of Crater Lake. Did you at least go to the Pumas desert afterwards.
Good thing there's no 3 hour boat tours, they tend to get stormy and you could end up shipwrecked on one of the islands, was the boat they use called the Minnow? lol
Wonderful tour, smoke permitting. I have been there twice. Both time, most roads were snow closed, hike some, tough post holing. But got some fabulous photos, the blue is fabulous ❤❤

Honestly I wish they would keep boats and people off of the lake, people polute.
Aloha from Hawaii! I've only been there once when I was a kid. I would love to visit again. Such a beautiful place Thank you! 😍🤙
Aloha, Scotty! Thanks so much for watching. It'd be great to return as an adult. Such an amazing park!

Aww thanks so much, Virginia! We were glad we were still able to share some of the park with everyone. When life hands ya lemons! 😂❤
Those pies looked scrumptious!
They were!!
PS Beckie’s Pies - whoohooo!
ooo they were so yummy!
Looking forward to watching!

Yes, it was definitely a good thing because it did become hard to breathe. We were glad we got out of the area early. Such a beautiful place though!
Crater Lake is one of my favorites. Last time I was there the snow was still there, in patches. Beautiful!
It's so beautiful in the snow! We got to see that last week. The contrast of the blue water and white snow is beautiful.

I am new to your channel. Crater Lake looks wonderful. I've got some catching up to do, but I look forward to watching more of your videos.
What a beautiful park! The water looked stunning
We did the boat tour in 2004 and it was amazing. Yes that hike back up is a definite workout! So sorry the wildfires messed up your adventure.
Wow! How beautiful and I’ve always thought Crater lake was smaller. What an awesome video. Thank you!

That's awesome! What a fun memory! We actually got to visit again last week on our way back down and it was snow covered & clear! What a difference 😍

Good video! Thanks!
Hope you can do the boat tour sometime, the Wizard Island hike is sweet!
We love crater lake. We went in 2021 and it was so smoky you couldn’t hardly see the water!
Great video - it stinks that the smoke cut your visit short. Keep the videos coming - Cheers from Ohio!
Dang it ! Beautiful place …

It's a great park, glad you'll be able to visit soon! The water really is incredible, even more so in person. 😍
We just visited. Thanks for the tips! Was unaware of any fires, but smoke still inside the Crater. Really took away from the beauty.

Oh Someone was at Costco and got a Wozoo fan...best one ever, I have 3
YES!!! Haha, good eye. We love it too!
Wonderful tour, smoke permitting.

We got to go back last week and it was snow covered! We were so happy to be able to see it on a clear day. Makes the blue even more vibrant!
We had the misfortune to go there when the crater was filled with dense fog, and we couldn't see a thing. 😢 Maybe next time...
