IMHO the producers of this "New Light" show of Alegria just butchered the whole show from the original show. Yes, there were some good spots in the "New Light" show but if anyone has watched the original Alegria you can tell it's a far cry from the 1997~2001 production. For me, Cirque is not the same since it's comeback from the C-Pandemic. Yes, I understand about "keeping up with the times" but some things are just best left to become "Timeless" . I guess I'm just an old fuddy-duddy, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Sorry Cirque, but maybe you need to go back and reflect on the past and quit making shows so modern.
It was an idea to give a new life for an Alegria for 25th Cirque Anniversary 🎪 The world is moving so some things are loosing relevance within a time. Yes… New Alegria won’t be an Old one and vice versa. You have your own opinion and that’s awesome! Some people would agree and some - disagree. There’s nothing bad in it 😊 And thank you for that 🙏🏼
My child was unable to leave the house for 2 years due to mental health issues. While he was home, he watched Alegria 2 on DVD and loved Alegria. My child was able to take the bullet train to Osaka to see Alegria. I really appreciate everyone at Cirque du Soleil. Thank you so much for coming to Japan. We were able to see 5 shows and all of them were wonderful.
We are very sad to leave Japan, but we are proud that we were able to go see Alegria. And we will continue to work hard as a family by watching this video everyday. My child has started studying to be a high school student😊 And congratulations on your 1000th show ❤ I hope the rest of the shows go off without a hitch😘
