Yes, I know what pot likker is. It’s wonderful with some good ole fried cornbread. My south Alabama mother knew how to cook some greens. I love any kind of greens. We ate them often growing up and now I cook them for my family along with that lacy cornbread. You have showed us another way to season them greens. I always liked turnip and mustard greens seasoned with pork neckbones. I would like to taste them with the sausage. Thanks for posting.
Bacon, grease container? Always! And a big old bucket with a handle full of lard. I also have suet that I made or technically the cow made, but I rendered so I can make old recipes.

The liquid, I fry some bacon and cut up a small onion together, and then put in the grease. YUM!

The pot liquor is the juice from the greens at the bottom of the pot , we drink it , it’s full of vitamins ❤
