White South African Tip for being accepted in South African culture for white people:
1. Learn their mother language
2. Learn their dance moves
3. Show interest in learning their culture
I used to be really scared to interact with people of color (didn't want to impose and make them uncomfortable), but that all changed when i was pushed into the center of a dancing circle and I was able to copy their dance moves... Since that day they accepted me and started greeting me in the school hallways. Dancing with them became the highlight of my school years...
