Aly performs more serious while aj is more free. It also helps that the latter has the solo harmony so she can be more expressive and high energy. Aly has to keep the lead tone.

The concept of redoing this song now that they're older sounds like something that wouldn't make sense- or shouldn't, but holy damn is this insanely great.
