A little sad - a year or two ago a lot of the in-country 3D printing shops were selling the Sidewinder and the Genius. Now only two or three of them are selling the Sidewinder X2, and no one is selling the Genius. They've been supplanted by the Bluer, the Sapphire, etc. (And most also sell Creality products.) I plan on getting a X2, I don't see the point of buying a Genius since I already have a smaller printer (a Wanhao i3 Plus). Now with the X2 out I hope more of them will start selling Artillery printers again.
You’ve made an error. Yes, the power supply is switchable between 110v and 220v but that power supply provides power to everything except the bed, it’s powered directly from the mains voltage via a relay. So a 220v bed in a 110v country will heat but very slowly but a 110v bed in a 220v country will go bang as the voltage is twice the rated voltage of the bed, bye bye bed!
If the bed has two heating element circuits in it, they could be switched either in parallel for 110v or in series for 220v. That's usually how those voltage selector switches are wired to operate.
Did you know that if you run the BL touch on your genius you can direct swap, the head with the Genius pro head with only having to change 1 screw on the mounting plate, and it will run and print as normal? save you by buying just the BL touch.
Hi, may I ask something here? You mention that the Genius PRO heads are compatible to the old Genuis printers... I have a Genius and need to replace various oarts of my Extruder. I do NOT currently have a BLTouch, but I'd like to add one. So: what would you advise? If I understand correctly, I will in any case have to flash the firmware. That said, does it make sense and is it compatible to just buy a complete Genius pro extruder incl a touch sensor (~75EUR) or to buy various spare parts (~30 EUR) plus the touch (25 EUR)? On one hand it's a bit cheaper, but since I have my printer ripped open right now I can't print the parts required to mount the BLTouch anyway, so I could just as well buy the whole thing and be done with it... Are the heads really totally compatible? Thanks for your help!
So they just fixed problems which shouldn't be there from beginning, and which most of the owners already fixed. I dont see any added value, also add leveling probe is easy on Genius, because pins for it are already there on extruder board.

At 5:13, you are incorrect, at least on some machines. I just gota Genius Pro today, and those screws are no longer there for adjustment. It is a stupid design unfortunately.
Leveling screws and springs in 2021? Why yet another printer? Artillery made nice decisions on their Anycubic Vyper: dual independent z axis with two endstops and a fixed bed without need to level. Direct drive for the Vyper as an option and improving firmware IMHO would be a better solution for customers than yet another printer.
I have 6 Chinese printers 4 Creality and 2 Voxelab, the Voxelabs are pretty good for the price but the Creality machines are a constant pain in the arse, I will not buy any more Chinese printers, I built a Pro 3D V-King 400 from the best available quality parts and its a winner, I havent had to do anything for months to it. My next purchase will be the Prusa XL when it is released, Prusa take their time with their designs and only release when it is perfect, since they anounced the XL machine Creality have released six FDM printers and all of them crap, they cant even get the BL Touch firmware correct
@@MarkusFotofieber The former I'd believe, they tram it before it leaves the factory, or they make sure the parts fit together only in a way that can be square. For the price you pay, it'd better be square. The latter? Maybe.. but I'd have to confirm it myself.

Not incorrect. The set screws that we have on our printer and that we show in the video are there to adjust the amount of pressure.

Levelling screws are good for tramming the bed and the printer. You do want a square printer, right?
@@iskandartaib a good construction doesn‘t need tramming. Good examples are Prusa i3mk3 and Anycubic Vyper.
