"Oh, it can overheat!" -- Emile, cooking with a flamethrower for the first time
For the sake of your whole neighborhood, please keep your slow cooker.
you only need 90 power, not 130.
@@xeenproof2024 : Emile with a piece of charcoal in his pocket: "Why isn't this making the flamethrower more powerful?"
Jon: Well it’s a FLAMETHROWER! What would you expect?
Emile: I don’t know!
Step 1: Stand in center
Step 2: Turn on flamethrower
Step 3: Spin to win
1:05 It's concerning how... excited Emile sounds to be able to use a flamethrower... but he calls it a fire *_extinguisher_*
I think it's because he was going to say that "[he gets] to have a flamethrower", but because they were talking about needing the fire extinguisher just a moment before, "fire extinguisher" popped in his head and nobody called him out on it.
"I can't believe they made the flamethrower move from Pokemon into a real thing!"
🤣
my reaction: Seriously Emile - head desk -
Is there a list of things only Emile would say? Because that would definitely be right up there as one of the silliest.
@@porkeyminch8044 Nah, I believed that too back then lmao
I used to believe that as well cause I thought just flamethrowers in general weren't a thing
"can I have a flamethrower for Christmas?"
"no"
"I don't know, were you good to Elon Musk this year?"
This Mossy Turkey Turner will be special
Cooking with a flamethrower? Sounds like a normal Christmas dinner to me!
360 points for this level?
Gnarly.
Funny how Tony Hawk literally just came out a few days ago too XD
Radical! 🤘🤘

Highway!

Wow this level is HOT
It burns.
Turkey are fired up
Wait a potato fell outside the stage
That beautiful moment at 3:26 when they just casually dual flame thrower the turkey cooking it super fast
That was honestly pretty clever
Who's idea was this?! They should be *fired!* Or promoted!
It’s a hot idea
If anything, they really got the production team all *fired* up about the idea!
Taking cooking to new Fahrenheits.
Its a good thing its xmas because these puns are *lighting* up my mode

"Should've never left you alone with a lit blowtorch and roller-skates." ~Mr Krabs
What episode was THAT quote from?
@@MrTerminator3010 The Krutsy Plate. a 3-minute short.
Seems their Christmas Goose is quite cooked so to speak.
1:05 Long as it’s not Stephen using them...not that Emile and Tom are to be trusted with flamethrowers either, especially given Emile’s excitement.
Wait, how are the dishes going to get washed with the conveyor belts as they are?
Seems Tom picked up on that too, but our question has been answered and in good time too. So weird seeing the plates piling up away from the serving window.
3:19 I know what kind of sushi he’s talking about, but you don’t use a flamethrower for that, Tim. There are specific torches used for things like that kind of sushi and Créme Brûlée.
4:55 Flamethrowers have existed since the Greeks but it wasn’t until the World Wars that they became more or less as we know them today. To say that the flamethrower or even producing and throwing flames in general has been romanticized in this day and age by fictional media would be a gross understatement when looking back.
5:25 That sort of thing can leave in impact on young impressionable minds like that of 8 year old Emile.
7:42 Emile should not have this kind of power. None of them should really. Maybe non-Antagonist Tim and that’s because he’d actually have those self-mental debates on how to use it without letting the power get to his head.
9:55 And there’s the description!
10:50 All that time getting dunked into lava and killed by fireballs has led to them developing an immunity.
This episode made me reminisce. Ah... torched turkey by flamethrower, just how grandma used to make em. It's by far my favorite Christmas tradition.
Who knew Emile could have so much precision and control with a flamethrower out of all things?! I thought we were going to see abit of his wild, maniac side in either of these levels but he surprised me.
Well on another topic, these were the levels we were all anticipating and surprisingly no burnt items and a relatively easy time progressing. The only tip I'd suggest for those watching and would recommend to TRG if they didn't prerecord these well in advance is in the first level where they're separated 2 and 2. The side with the flamethrowers could pass one on the conveyor belt to the other side without them so that when the side with the cutting boards finishes chopping and preparing the vegetables prior to roasting them they don't need to waste unnecessary time sending the vegetables on yet another conveyor belt and wait for them to loop back around back around until they're ready to be served and could instead simply roast them on the spot immediately after being chopped. I'm not 100% sure this would save time in multiplayer mode though since I'm only familiar with single player where you have to simulataneosly control 2 chefs. Let me know if you guys have experience with this level in multiplayer and whether or not it would be more efficient.
I like how the flamethrower itself won't set the kitchen on fire but presumably overcooking a whole turkey or a watery vegetable with said flamethrower will
"I thought Flamethrower was just a Pokemon move."
SERIOUSLY EMILE!?!? EVEN I KNEW WHAT A FLAMETHROWER WAS WHEN I WAS 8!
When I was 8 I already knew you could improvise a flamethrower with a spray can. Emile was preciously sheltered as a kid.
Flamethrower in Pokemon: Powerful, Reliable Fire-type move
Flamethrower irl: Not as reliable for fire-based killing
@@XellosNi
Nope, you got it very very wrong. The only sucky flamethrower is a Hollywood low pressure propane-powered piece of shit. Real flamethrowers are arguably _too_ effective.
#TypicalEmile.
@@DinnerForkTongue It's not usually normal for an 8-year-old to know what a flamethrower is unless they knew a family member who used one in the war or they have another good reason, that's a pretty big stretch to expect every young kid to know something like that.
Mawk
Which also makes your reaction overblown on that front anyway.
I am not sure what surprises me more, that the guys let Emile use the flamethrower, or that he didn't actually set the kitchen on fire while doing so.
"One Ed turkey a la king!"
"Oh boy! Me and Plank are starved!"
"Bon appetit."
"FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!"
"Ed! You were supposed to get a real turkey!"
"Stuffing anybody?"
Like Alfred said in The Dark Knight, “Some people just want to watch the kitchen burn.”
Apparently the some people are just chugga
The Cake Knight Rises...
Emile thinking a flamethrower was a Pokemon move is such a believable thing for him to say at this point.
All that comes to mind is Space Balls to me when I see those Flamethrowers.
" Merchandising! Overcooked the T-Shirt! Overcooked the coloring book! Overcooked the Lunchb- Yikes, Emile did over cook it. Moving on! Overcooked the *Flamethrower!* "
Same...
1:05 "AHHHAHA I get to have a fire extinguisher!" - Emile
Pyromaniac Emile isn't something I knew I needed, but I did. Thank you
Hope I'm not the only one who thinks Tim's character kinda looks like the grinch... all green with a Santa hat...
Even has a wide albeit toothy grin.
... ish?
But Tim is not a mean one.
Kinda i guess.
Pikachu2Ash Didn’t stop Emile/Dan from naming the next episode the way he did. Think the OP can take pride in thinking alike.
I’m pretty sure it was mario party 6, and it was the Snowboarding record because of the minigame where you hit a jump and then hit A B Y X A B Y X in order to spin.
Snow Whirled?
Overcooked: the Video Game! Overcooked: the DLC! Overcooked: the Flame-Thrower! The kids love that one.
I hear the Flamethrower DLC is pretty *hot*
Spaceballs the flamethrower! Emile will love it!
Tim put a flamethrower onto the conveyor-belt at the start of the second stage, so that makes me think that you could send one to the left side in the first stage... The right side didn't really need 2 of them, and that way the left chefs can cook their own veggies without waiting for them to take the cooking loop. =o
(I know this doesn't help The Runaway Guy Fawkeses since the videos are recorded a year in advance, but maybe somebody else can try it in their own run)
That was my first thought too, but once they figured out they could cook veggies in the loop I completely forgot they could just pass a flamethrower.
So as a note, keep Stephen away from bombs and keep Emile from flamethrowers
I've been waiting for the reaction to the flamethrower the whole time, and they did not disappoint.
Emile commented during Mario Party 6, from the snow whirled mini game, that he wondered if anyone wanted a world record by jumping out of a plane and just spinning until they hit the ground. I happen to be re-watching it. Good times.
7:40 That cooked potato that Tom had will be found in 100 years when the new restaurant owners decide to renovate.
Emile with a flamethrower is a scary thought
Yum yum, Emile is firing his flamethrower! Thank goodness the kitchen did not burn down.
OVERCOOKED THE FLAMETROWAAAHH!!!!
The kids love this one. :)
This turkey will feel the fury
Apparently the secret to doing well at Overcooked is to give Emile a flamethrower :D
I just realized that Tom's character is just alternate universe Smokey the Bear.
Only you can prevent kitchen fires.
Someday, when Emile has the most spotless record on the nice list this year, will Santa give him a flamethrower for Christmas! (Be sure to use it wisely, Chugga!)
Emile has the best one liners out of all of trg. Also him with a flamethrower is kinda scary not gonna lie.
Okay I'm really sad that the flamethrower isn't in Overcooked 2. You use ovens for the dinners like normal people.
Burnanating the country sides!! Burnanating the food!
Alright now *that* is just hilarious the idea of cooking a turkey dinner with actual flamethrowers. XD
If you can't stand the heat, don't let Chuggaa use the flamethrower.
Moegami used flamethrower, it's super effective.
Yokai59 Loi used Nostalgia, it's super effective
From orbit, right? I mean, it's the only way to be sure...
Emile: gets a flamethrower
California: not more forest fires
Brazil and Australia: Listen to California, pleeeease 🙏
He lives in Arizona I believe.
@@yokai59loi36 Right now he lives in Georgia. He used to live in Arizona.
@@ricardovillon1189 my point was that he isn't in California, but thanks.
I don't think I've laughed this hard all playthrough. Dear lord I was not expecting the flamethrower and I am so happy it's there.
In this episode Emile finally learms how to make a Mossy Turkey Turner.
TRG the t-shirt! TRG the coloring book! TRG the lunchbox! TRG the breakfast cereal! TRG the flamethrower! The kids love this one~
omg THIS is where all my fav old, old, old LPers ran off to? YAY
wow, these are incredibly unique stages. really wish the rest of the original campaign played more around with gimmicks like this; not frustrating, but different. echoing their words, I hope Overcooked 2 *has* implemented the flamethrowers into more stages
“A new fast way to cook turkey” aka PURGE IT IN FLAMES!!!
Every time Emile shares a story of him not knowing something, I both cringe and get a stark reminder that educational systems (and as a result, sometimes, common knowledge) isn't grand everywhere, especially in the US. It's not his fault but boy.
That being said, really enjoying this series. I've played this with my best friend and we've had a blast
Those Mossy Turkeys are lookin' good :3
Yes, finally the flamethrower levels! It's such a fun twist, it's sad that they've come up with it only for the DLC of this game.
Wow, in the second one they did so well! Well, when they can divide the roles however they like is where they do their best, so it makes sense.
This... is VERY fitting of an intro when 1+2 just came out
"The chicken is going to over heat!"
"its a flame thrower, thats what they're supposed to do."
It's actually legal to own a flamethrower in a lot of places in the US.
The list of places where it's legal to *use* a flamethrower is considerably smaller, though.
THAT'S COOKED ALREADY EMILE
KEEP COOKING IT EMILE
bro he's tryin
¡Venga, venga! ¡Ja, ja, ja! ¿Qué pasa? ¿Quieres más?
I still can't believe Emile was the most RELIABLE flamethrower user of the group! Seriously, what are the odds that would have worked out so well?
In Overcooked X-2 you can only use the Flamethrower to cook, unlike in Overcooked VII Remake where the Flamethrower is (insert finished joke by someone else who cares about Final Fantasy)
Not long till the grand finale
Turkeys don't take 8-10, or 18, hours to cook Emile. Pretty sure those that do end up burnt and/or dry.
@Chuggaconroy check Alton Brown's recipe... it's served my family well in the past.
How ironic that Tom and Jon are talking about Tony Hawk a good year before the Tony Hawk Remasters came out.
Guess I need to invest in a flamethrower for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas season!
Careful not to burn down the house on Christmas eve...
Me when Emile gets a flamethrower: Oh yeah. This is going to be chaotic with a lot of screaming.
Reality: Emile leads the team to three stars and crushing a level with his flamethrower skills.
Me: Glad to see his skills, but disappointed we didn't get to see more chaos.
By the way if Emile is looking for a flamethrower maybe Tim can get him a Spaceballs: The Flamethrower. It's a great purchase and makes a great gift.
An even better question: how the heck is one person going to eat an entire turkey dinner all by themselves? This restaurant gives one person the whole bird.
I also didn’t know flamethrowers were real, either. I though they were fictional items used in cartoons.
Someone should buy Emile Spaceballs the Flamethrower. Kids love this one!
Do not give Emile a real flamethrower PLEASE! Let's keep it to video games only
You do realize he can just buy one online and if that happens who knows what is next
"The power of the sun, in the palm of my hand!"
Are we not going to mention the potato that somehow ended up out of bounds?
I'm suprised Chugga hasn't made a pun about Emile (like saying "a-meal") although he might've and I just forgot
1:06 u get to have a flamethrower Emile
Just noticed, the customers ordering the turkey are penguins
Yay, cannibalism!
Turkey a la Flamethrower.
Epic cooked a fifty pound burger with a flamethrower
Who’s bright idea was it to give Emile and FLAMETHROWER?!?!
I got vibes from Shazam charging phones watching Chugga “cook” the food
I forgot about that sense from the film.
Wouldn't cooking stuff with a flamethrower just immediately burn the food?
Honestly, I've always wanted to cook something with a flamethrower
Nukes are gonna fly
Is it bad that I remember exactly which episode of Pokémon Chugga was referring to?
10:55
Asbestos Armor! Oh so itchy!
360 for 3 stars?
That's so *lit*. Hopefully not on fire.
is Emile just the child from Room all grown up?
How big is this game? It feels like this should have been over a long time ago.
This is DLC mate, also they ended the main campaign several episodes ago.
So Emile's making jokes about his kid self thought that flamethrowers were a machine version of the Pokemon move, while I'm sitting here remembering every time my mom told my adult self thought that when she mentions the word "Chippendale" in front of me, she thinks my mind immediately goes to the Rescue Rangers. Despite the fact that they've been off the air for over _25 years_ now. Despite me telling her _on multiple occasions_ that I know what she means. *smh*
I wouldn’t eat a flamethrowered turkey because I don’t feel like ingesting gasoline or whatever they use for fuel nowadays
high grade is usually kerosene with a thickener, like napalm
well, I think we can officially say that chugga... is lit
...I'll leave now

Why don't you play overcooked 2? It'll definitely be interesting to watch you guys run around like a headless chicken lol.
I don't know why it is named like that, all I know is that I'm early ( 3rd comment ) and that I will enjoy this disaster as well.
Edit: I beg to all animators out there, PLEASE animate the flamethrower shenanigans !
I gotta do it. SPACEBALLS THE FLAMETHROWER!!! The kids love this one.
