for a boss man that states in one of his other videos that he never had any desire to coach, he certainly can break things down and explain them in a very simple, understandable way. seems to take the damage and repercussions of getting hit in the head seriously. think that may be part of the decision not to be a boxing trainer. or, Tony knows and i'm rambling.
My first day going to a Boxing Gym, the coach had me doing jump ropes before anything else. I prepared for whatever I thought I could, like handwrapping and a little on punching form so I wouldn't be wasting time or using too much arm power, but I didn't even think of jump ropes. I've never jump roped for as long as I can remember in my 22 years, so my dumbass was trying to get the hang of it for what felt like an hour but I didn't give up, didn't want to quit and most of all, didn't want to be scared away from the gentleman sport of Boxing by simple embarassment. My top count of jumps went from 0 to just 3, but it was progress. Unfortunately, I busted one of my fingers catching a medicine ball the wrong way, and then my city ordered another lockdown, closing the gyms again. My doctor told me to go easy on hands for about three weeks, but I didn't give up. As soon as I could grip things with that finger again, I bought a jump rope and started practicing around my neighborhood. I just finished today's practice and I'm making progress. Then I saw this video, and its like a godsend. I've been watching your other videos to help myself catch up so to find this video on accident was one hell of a coincidence. This channel is a great supplement to training and while I doubt you'll see this comment, Tony, I really appreciate these videos and the lessons in them. Respect from Canada and the Philippines!
