Was Anglican for a long time, and after much study and unrest. I left Anglicanism and Protestantism as a whole. I went east in the Catholic Church. Also the reformers, especially the Anglican reformers claimed apostolic succession not in order but in doctrine. Cranmer himself, if I remember correctly made the very claim that apostolic succession by laying of hands is superstition.
Ericky ybarra would say the the Roman catholic mass is propitiatory in the sense that at each mass there is a mystical slaying of Christ ( without him however having to die once again).
Depending on how one means that, that can be fine--but the issue isn't even quite that the mass is considered propitiatory (because even Protestants of most traditions believe that the Eucharist communicates forgiveness through the sacrifice of Jesus). The issue is that it accrues merit that covers the temporal debt of punishment--new merit that the worshiper didn't have before. The critique of purgatory is nested within the critique of the overall system of merit
As one who has felt the strong tug to Rome a few times, this video is a must listen for anyone to see while they discern. Great content
It’s extremely helpful! We need more raised up like you by God’s grace.
I've never heard of Apostolicae Curae being used to disprove Papal infallibility. This is brilliant, massive well done.
Bro that’s so good!
Why are you obsessed with Roman orders when Roman Apostolic Succession can, for the most part, only be traced back to Scipione Rebiba?
The Apostolica Curae is just the ye olde Donatist heresy.
