Shadows of Death (v2) from the Black Mesa: Xen soundtrack, looped for 15 minutes.
You know, I remember back before the Interloper beta released, the devs kept teasing us about the Gargantua chase, which would supposedly have more than one Gargantua. We thought that was unbelievable; imagine two, or maybe even THREE Gargs chasing you at once!
Yeah, well, our imaginations were pathetic.

This is the chapter where the title "Interloper" starts making sense.
You're *really* not supposed to be here, not at all. Xen's got its own natural security system involving a metric FUCKTON of Gargantuas that portray the "massive, unkillable, and extremely hostile and deadly creature(s) chasing after your ass" trope perfectly. Of course, this also makes sense with the fact that there's a fail-safe mechanism with lasers and crushers involving Freeman and a clone vat later in the chapter too, but I found this part to be the most meaningful of the bunch.

I beat half life 1, and I thought to myself. Why would I need bm. Well now I think I'm going to get it just because of the music. As the soundtrack better brings out the despair that the xenians have had to face within their time.

This moment in the game really had my adrenaline rushing. It was such a great change of pace. I couldn't keep up with how well crowbar collective remade xen. Then this drops on me XD.
Rabbit trailing into how all of half life tackled the "boss fight" moments. No health bars, no quick time. Most of them by using the environment around them. This moment was like, last time I had to use a transformer and aerial bombardment. I gotta GTFO!
I'm super curious to see how Operation Black Mesa tackles the bosses and for relevance to this song, the garg on the dam.
