How glad I am that there’s another video so soon❤ this shit is like that final spin of the juice that quenches your thirst. Literally keeps me going, fills that missing spot… when you’re on the verge of cracking and this just helps keep you going. Mahn Chris you have no idea how comforting these videos are. Thanks G, from 🇿🇦
Guys instead to use nut and bolt on hole beside when riveting use aerospace cleco, wingnut, or wedgelock. It come with a gun or a plier and have different size. This is the way to work with a lot of riveting closing the gap btw two parts. Like on an aircraft. But the result is incredible. Very well done. I hope everything is straight and will be easy to make wheel alignment !!!! Now what... Upgrade engine ! More powah baby !¡!
Mickey is such a great help to have on this project and i hope he becomes an integral part of future videos. Seems like a solid top bloke who knows his stuff and is fun to have around. Great work and fabulous progress Chris.
Great jobs, lads. You all work so well together. Positives vibes all around and really do enjoy watching your content. Keep up the hard work and hats off to you all.
Very good point, woulnd't have considered that. Although I imagine painting & clear coating everywhere that porsche didn't do would help seal up most of it?
No. You want some of those places with heavy weather sealer esp under the sub frame into the wheel tubs to protect from the rain. Its also a sound deadener plus the bonding.
Chris, Mat , Dean, and Ryan from Yorkshire all have my favorite channels and do awesome work. One day a collab with all of them would be monumental! I am a California muscle car guy but the Brit Boys put out the best videos! This was fun watching the front end going on and I am confident Chris can paint the outside beautifully! Keep up the great videos. I will be waiting!
Thats a bold undertaking on an beautiful car sir, i look forward to seeing a head to head between matt and yourself. Your attention to details really pay off.
Surprised you didn't need some sort of jig for that entire front end to line up. Great work non the less, look forward to seeing how the rest of this build comes together.
Same, wouldn't take much to be a millimetre or two out. Lining up some pop rivet holes, and a couple of wonky tape measurements seems a bit sketchy, but maybe there's only one way it can go with that many holes to line up.
Mickey and his team are wicked mate and someone who you should deffo look after when it comes to him doing your work, very enjoyable to watch and deffo more enjoyable since you didnt mess around immaturely to much, well done Chris
one good thing getting the new front end is you don't have to mess about getting it straightened out from the old car it was on,plus it is all welded and ready to fit.plus you are learning how to do it ready for next time, best thing when taking a car to the track is put it on a trailer, that way you are not driving with tyres that could make you crash like this, plus if you break down you can still get home with the car pulling you along, much safer all round.
Coming together now well done guys, the paint is a difficult choice, id of gone with factory coverage my self for originality but each to their own. Also its mad Porche sell those rivets when the factory ones are like single pieces of metal compressed into the panels under massive pressure.
What a great opportunity to learn from the pros on your own project. Doing these jobs yourself in future will really allow you to expand the ranges of projects you take on!
Wow that was relatively quick, , it’s coming along nicely 🏆Nearly time for the wings and doors and wiring and interior. Can’t believe that glue was £360 . Love it keep up the good work. ❤
Well done Chris - watched your journey on YT with interest. Your videos are getting better, your voice over is less repetitive (you used to voice over a repeat of what you were saying in the action sequences), your confidence is growing and you are learning the art of delegation. Nice to see your progression!
Bloody loved this. Extreme rebuild and you certainly are putting yourself way out of your comfort zone. Looking forward to seeing this bomb round a track.
Great job Chris, really enjoyed this. Just enough detail in the vid to follow the progress. You have taken on a huge task and you seem to be getting through it all. Well done!
Great job Mike. These are the videos that everybody starts with and then they’re on do really nothing great video my opinion what I like to see this is when you create a real car back to life.
You could do with some cavity wax on some of those areas to keep out condensation and water in and around the tub. Bilt Hamber Dynax SC50 is a perfect product for the area's you cant see and use Bilt Hamber Dynax UC for the areas you might be able to see as its a clear wax unlike SC50 which is caramel coloured. Its great stuff even if you're car is mint, a great idea to keep out the dreaded rust worm and road salts over winter. Way better then Lanogaurd junk, in my opinion. 😊
Your videos are not as slick as Mat's but better if that makes sense. I love your content, more direct and to the point.....this is a compliment BTW 😊😊
Nae expert but surprised there was no support bars put in place inside car prior to removing full bulkhead? 😮 but looks top job so far. Just hope windscreen fits and seals OK 😂😊
Wow 👌You certainly have leveled up your game ..not be long before you're on the same subs as MA and the rest.. congratulations man and keep smashing it...30 minutes of content is what most of us want each week if you can do it 👊🤞👏✌️💪
Crazy right, i think it was lotus that pioneered the panel bond and rivet method (i may be wrong) but as wild as it seems apparently it is much stronger!
With the clear coat for the first coat do a very light coat. This then acts as a "tack coat" making the surface tacky. Which means you can go heavy on the next coat with less chance of runs.
micky seems like one of those geezer's who is just top quality and a gem to have around

He seems like the kid who ate pritt-stick at school
@@rockyhudsonI did eat it at school 😂
Brother of Adrian Newey?! 😅
Came here to say the same. Micky seems a top fella.
Mickey looks like a key to unlocking even more quality on your channel top bloke by the looks of it.👌👍
Very impressive Chris. Mickey's a great teacher by the looks of it. He deserves the 1st drive! Top work 👍👍
We need more Mickey on the channel. Guy is a legend
I love the longer and more technical aspects I’m seeing here - compared to other UA-camrs. Love it.

That repair guy is a top man. Knows his job for sure.
He didn't know shit😂
Gee Chris ya getting the car repaired quick. Look out Matt and the crew hahaha Chris is coming

Yep exactly what we use, top tools
great suggestion
Good job, keep Micky on payroll. He brings experience, which I think is missing on your team IMO.
100% agree
Mickey is such a great help to have on this project and i hope he becomes an integral part of future videos. Seems like a solid top bloke who knows his stuff and is fun to have around. Great work and fabulous progress Chris.

Micky is the man keep him on ya channel he defo knows he’s stuff what a guy
Be careful skipping the seam sealer as some is put in weird places due to moisture, dont want her rusting prematurely

seam sealer then weather sealer. my bad but if this is a true track car.

Think Mickey needs a job offer clearly an asset to your channel Chris absolute legend 😅

normally you would put the subframe on.
@@paulchapman1699 those are not normal pop rivets - they are like £2 each and are a complete bstard to remove. Probably stronger than the originals
Use earprotection Chris otherwise you will end up like me, suffering from tinnitus.
Pardon?
i second that my ears ring 24/7

Same. But kids won’t listen.
Totally agree. Just stick a pair of cans on.
Bro you are creating outstanding content and your your work is on a level of its own!! Keep up the amazing work bro 😎
I would have definitely tried to get the rivets in quicker. I was having anxiety about the panel bond going off, just watching 😂
Great job though 👍
Mickey has mad skills 👍🏻
Micky is the Tony of the Slix channel! A well needed asset 👏
Mickey and his team are wicked mate and someone who you should deffo look after when it comes to him doing your work, very enjoyable to watch and deffo more enjoyable since you didnt mess around immaturely to much, well done Chris
"Bob's always stiff" should be on a t-shirt
Also mickey is a legend !
Micky needs his own channel. Legend.
that Mickey guy is an absolute legend. A true hardworking honest geyser and a good guy
The guy that’s helping you doing the work he’s one smart hell of a guy that is awesome. What he’s doing looks very, very, very good. Awesome.

Mickey seems like a sound lad. I like him.
Here we go. I do love a chris slix video and chill. Keep them up chris.
Lets Go! 💯
Some weld through primer would have been good
the bonded sections are meant to be wiped with Henkel Bonderite 1455-w primer wipes as well
Coming together now well done guys, the paint is a difficult choice, id of gone with factory coverage my self for originality but each to their own. Also its mad Porche sell those rivets when the factory ones are like single pieces of metal compressed into the panels under massive pressure.
love the tunes while painting!! The finish looks good.
Always use weldable primer on all bare surfaces under the two panels, or else the metel will rust from the inside out.
I was shouting "prime it" for half the video!!
They didnt etch prime it? 🤦🏻♂️ 10 min in

There are special drills for that job, they have a fine point and a larger base. Putting that front on without a flat table, I,would never do that.
Micky has done a sterling job of cutting that front end away, everything lines up perfectly. Micky and his pal are top boys! 🔥🔥
First comment, SOUTH AFRICA in the mix🥳
Ur not first lol
@zd4rkrs37 who was first?😭

Doing a grand job! Class effort from the welder!,👏👏
You needed some Avdel Skin Pins to put in the rivet holes to hold it all tight prior to riveting, they use them when riveting aircraft panels.
Great job Chris, really enjoyed this. Just enough detail in the vid to follow the progress. You have taken on a huge task and you seem to be getting through it all. Well done!
You need to get that rivet guy on the channel more often. He seems like a proper character! ❤
What an amazing achievement !!! honestly I was a little sceptical when you sliced off the front ! Much love from British Columbia Canada 😎
Well done...
Attention to detail always a must.
Brilliant job.
Hoping the rest of the rebuild continues in this way.
Enjoying this build, good on you 👍🏼
My favourite car repair channel ❤
You've got some big balls taking on this job, all I can say is you're doing a great job so far.
Great job Mike. These are the videos that everybody starts with and then they’re on do really nothing great video my opinion what I like to see this is when you create a real car back to life.

Biggest job yet Chris. Looking good mate

Chris you have taken the content to the next level and you are making smashing content
You are killing it
Hats off to you!! That’s like the biggest job in the world..
Mate I can’t tell you just how well a cutting liquid for drilling out the spot welds would work.. it saves the drill bits soooooo well it’s untrue.
great job chris and the boys that helped you out
wow Chris well done have you painting cars for a living cheers steve
Little heads up for future builds you can buy drill bits that are a 3mm pilot stright to a 10mm drill bit they are amazing for spot welds
You and Dean are really good more genuine
that is one hell of a repair. good luck to you mate, keep the content coming!!
Keeping it about the cars, not the people or the houses.🤙
We all need a Mickey on stand by... proper skilled professional
Next level stuff is this , good set of lads they were , loving this series 👌
Your videos are not as slick as Mat's but better if that makes sense. I love your content, more direct and to the point.....this is a compliment BTW 😊😊

These modern cars with the panel bond and rivets are mind blowing.
Crazy right, i think it was lotus that pioneered the panel bond and rivet method (i may be wrong) but as wild as it seems apparently it is much stronger!
That’s my dad delivering that part to you guys 😊
Killing it brotha! really enjoy the content... its you and mat that I find myself in wait for the next videos.
Mickey you are a legend !! Top job 💪🏻
New Mat Armstrong in the making. Good luck Chris 👍
Micky is a lovely chap. Chapeau, sir!!
You are now the British TJ hunt 💪🏼💪🏼
This is what I need to see, you getting stuck in to rebuilding just like MA...👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽.
Rather than nut and bolts we use something called skin pins or cleco pins on aircraft…saves a lot of time
Get yourself a decent tube gun Chris! Makes the job so much easier. Just amazing though. Awesome stuff. ❤
Fire 🔥💯💯💯
