Dam bro thank you I was kinda tripping on how to find brackets but I made some just like you and they fit perfectly thank you
Great to hear man, I’m glad it worked for somebody else too. That’s the whole reason I made this video was to help others on things I didn’t see in other videos
I did the same thing - gutted the made in china (not mexico) factories and shaped the bracket cone bottoms with a dremel. Slapped in 300 watt Kenwood 6.5s, soldered new copper wire from the bracket to the speakers, and used mini zip-ties around bracket rim to keep speaker in tight. No vibra-rattle sounds MUCH better.
I have the Alpine system in mine and wow no complaints at all really unless you just want extra crazy bass that you can feel from exterior of car because man is the insulation on these cars is insane
Yes I bet the alpine sounds much better than stock, I wanted a manual and Im pretty sure 99% of manuals come as base models so sadly no premium sound system. After I upgraded the speakers I really enjoy the sound only really needs a sub which I may be doing soon
@user-rg8vx7bf8z I did a sub install for a 10 inch woofer and man that was enough boom and bass for me! But I did not connect my negative ground cable in a good spot resulting in my amp melting
Hi, thank you so much for the detailed video, do you know if the original speaker is 2ohms or 4? want to upgrade to Pioneer 4ohms, thank you
Hey Adrian, thanks for this great video man, easily one of the most informative speaker videos I've seen regarding these challengers. Do you think that the 6 3/4" rear speakers would fit? Been looking around for 6 1/2 as well but am a bit worried it won't fit.
Hey thanks man, I am not sure if 6 and 3/4 would work it might be the right size speaker but you could also buy a 6 1/2 and purchase some brackets or modify them how i did
Late update, but in my '22, the metal deck mount will only fit 6" speakers unless you modify it.
Same for all other stock v6 Challenger speakers:
dash= 3.5" x 3
doors= 6x9 x 2 (needs mount kit)
deck= 6" x 2, plus off-center 10" woofer (cut-out only).
I didn't bother with the harnesses, just soldered the wires to each speaker.
*Use plenty of foam padding tape on rim of dash and door speakers, or you'll be chasing rattles for months.
I did the same thing with recyling rear deck speaker factory rings, but I bound to new speaker with zip ties, then screwed into deck.😂
Also, used 200W Blaupunkt 3.5s from Amazon, $25/pair (as of 9/6/23) and sound great.
I ordered my 2022 challenger scat pack widebody manual with the harmon kardon system. It's nice for what it is, but I think aftermarket setups are much better.
Oh man mine is doing a rattle in back and I thought it would be so much more challenging. I’m going to get some sponge rubber foam tape to see if that would help with the rattling. Thanks for explaining. Hell might wanna upgrade speakers while I’m at it.
I feel that would help with the rattling but I am not 100% sure. Yes it’s pretty easy to take apart and put back together and you will love how the speakers sound if you decide to upgrade
Man I wish I had the Harmin in my new challenger , had it in my charger and I was always asked at gas stations what kind of subs I had .. when I would tell them it’s factory speakers no subs they were always surprised
Damn man so it is worth the extra money. I didn’t have a choice sadly. I got a base because I wanted a manual. And bases can’t get the Harmon kardon
Do all the challengers that have the alpine system have a subwoofer
Good video but how do you replace the rear speakers?
So is the dash 2 -3.5"?
Doors 6x9?
And rear deck 6.5"?
Ohhh, on the dash, Is there room for a center speaker, if so what size?
The dash does have room for a center speaker. Being able to fit 3 of them total across the dashboard. All the same size
what are the right harnesses to buy so I don’t have to hardwire anything?!?!?!? please please answer, im not good with mechanics, so id really just like to do the harnesses( 2019 v6 dodge challenger) thank you and great video!!!
Hey man thanks for the comment. Here is the link to the 3 harnesses you need. It makes the job a lot easier and quicker. I hope this helps. FYI you can order these from a lot of places this website just has them all 3 in a nice easy to view list. www.crutchfield.com/g_103100/Speaker-Wiring-Harnesses.html
Your stereo system is the stock system, not the Alpine Premium which will display the Alpine Premium System badge. You may need to add amplifiers to make that sound better.
I certainly can add an amp to maximize performance and sound volume but you don’t have to to get better sound. But just by upgrading the speakers is already a massive improvement.
I thought that was an amp mounted to the right of the covered subwoofer hole up against the rear glass. If so, it ain't much but it is handling 300 w deck 6.5s, 400 w 6x9s, and 220 w 3.5s capabily. No distortion high vol and no wimp-out.
@@Kronos5.6 it is to a point, when purchasing high end speakers amps are required. You will see they may perform fairly well at low volume, however when increasing volume with stock system distortion will be prominent. All high end speakers advise using adequate amplification.
I can confirm, there is nothing premium or Alpine with the “upgraded Alpine system”
How does it sound with new speakers? Still cuts out above 26?
Honestly man I traded in the car a few months ago so honestly I kinda forgot but if your annoyed with the sound quality getting new speakers is definitely the step in the right direction to better audio. I can’t emphasize how much I recommend getting rid of the cheap factory speakers
Will u need to connect an amp to these speakers ?
Not at all, you certainly can if you want even louder music and more performance. But you will still get a massive performance boost off of just swapping the speakers out
Yup I had to cut mines
Where’s the tutorial?
How much is it 😂
Love the video we have the same car except yours is a year newer but love to see someone else with the same vehicle keep making videos!
Thanks man, yes i don’t really plan on making videos unless I think I have information that would be useful to others out there but thanks for the kind words🙏
