Once again, a fantastic video!!! If you are still wondering, WE LOVE your videos...from the beginning to end. It's fun to see how your van is working for you, what you eat and the journey outside. All that details is fantastic! I would never give you a thumbs down but didn't care for the video last week. We want to see you and what you see!! Keep up the great work!!!!
Thomas Heaton, you've got the eye. "I love taking images that most people would walk past." I think that sums up why you are a master photographer whilst many of us just walk past.
Ahh yes! I enjoy the film videos Tom but these are the videos and series I love most from you. It makes me want to take a week before Xmas off, jump in the van and head north.
Snow in the forecast this weekend: Jumping into my van heading up Germany's elevations. Still not knowing where I will find myself with the camera in hand.
Nice video with some great images mate. Definitely don't need to be sorry for a beer sponsor. I've not had any beer approach me yet although I did get a sponsorship offer from an electric razor for shaving your balls!
Good precaution when parking for the night is to have your van parked facing your best exit route with space behind to reverse also just in case you do have to ‘get away’ if you feel at risk during the night. Keep making these fascinating and informative vlogs Thomas
Got the exact same heater for the same reason .. stay in bed and rest it on chest pointing at face I found worked the best LOL .. Diesel heaters rule 🤘
The first shot of the birch trees ( the diagonal lines do it for me) is my favourite. Looking forward to the next videos, and congrats on the beer sponsor.
Heck yeah and congrats on the beer sponsorship. On this side of the pond, I think Foresty Forest best deserves a beer sponsorship. Both of your channels are great.
This video sort of pulls me back to the early days of your channel mate, speaking for myself only, that added van part takes your content to a whole new level, it does makes us viewers feel right on the action too, great job
I really love the images of the valley floor done with the long lens - they're both my favorite to shoot, and also what I would want hanging on my walls. Deeply peaceful.
Шикарная работа Фотографии леса - словно живопись Thomas thanks for making art! The idea with all the frames at the end of the video is very good. Looking forward to new videos and thanks for the subtitles
Gavin will be SO jealous of your sponsorship deal😃 I do like the square crops of the trees but for me it's the vista shot that works best. Personal taste and as a hobbyist I don't care if it's been shot before, it's the connection to my shot I feel and the 'back story' to my version is what makes it 'unique'.
nice one Tom, really enjoyed this one, reminds me of the reason why i first started following your vlogs, Glencoe was the first one i watched many years ago and it inspired me to do a 7 hour trip from North Wales to do the same. keep up the great work, looking forward to the rest of this trip. stay safe.
God that last image of the trees was wonderful. It reminded me of the Dutch landscape painters of the Golden age like Jan Dirksz Both or Rembrandt!! And hell yeah to the Beer Sponsor!! 🍺
Great video. I really liked the first shot of the grass. And the 3rd shot with the yellow and green trees, i really liked the composition how the yellow and green curved around each other it has that Yin Yang feel to it.
From the beginning I knew that I would really enjoy watching this video. Glad to see you really savoring your photography and the shots show it, nice shots!👍🏽
Lovely! Scotland adventure! Yay! Love Scotland. Enjoyable video, felt like going back to the roots of what it is to be a landscape photographer. Added bonus of having a beer sponsor, congrats Thomas. Enjoyed the video. Cheers!
I started watching your channel to enhance my photography skills and motivate myself to shoot more. After some time I realized that I do it for simple pleasure of almost living the same adventure while watching. Even if it is only my virtual adventure still it seems very real to me. Thanks.
Thanks for reprising the images at the end of the video! :-)) I really like the second image of the birches, there's a lovely circular movement in that composition as well as the light on the foliage. Hey ho for Torridon and the North!
Nice to see you in Scotland and up a wee hill that I've enjoyed several times. When the fog rolls in that lower forest is even more special. Looking forward to seeing next week's adventure.
Stellar shots, Mr. Heaton! I was especially pleased that you chose to focus on the grass in the lake because that's what caught my eye as you were introducing the scene.
I just got back from the Trossachs too, such a great part of the world. Managed to get up and down Ben Lomond and Ben Venue before Storm Arwen arrived. Good thing about this time of year is not having to get up too early to get the best light. Looking forward to the rest of this series!
Fantastic first episode of your Scotland in Autumn series teally enjoyed watching, looking forward to the next one. Really liked the images you definitely captured the colour of Autumn 👍
Who knows maybe this will lead to even greater sponsorships, Single Malt comes to mind, hehe. Wish we had spent the first night where you were, lovely stuff Tom!
Don't think I've seen that before on a landscape photographer's channel...beer sponsor. Sweet! Beautiful sunrise and light on the trees, great images. Really liked the first image of the grass as well.
Fantastic video Thomas! This one is definitely in the top 5 for me. I surely enjoy your photography adventures as that's something I've always dreamed of doing. Can't wait for next week. Thanks for what you do and be safe!
liked the video, been waiting for the video's with adam gibs. The photo of the trees with the light hitting them was a really nice one and my favouite of the set.
Boy I have to be honest with you Tom. The image of looking down at the trees is probably one of my favorites you’ve done. At least I think it makes the top 6 best list.
I'm a bit late catching up on your trip to our bonnie Scotland. It's a photographer's dream in spite of getting 4 seasons in one day and needing plenty of wet weather clothes. Gorgeous photos as always, thank you for sharing your knowledge and sense of humour. Looking forward to the next video Alioban x
all I really can say about this video is that it is photographic prose! Great going and I also like the colour of the jacket you have as it matches mine....
Perhaps, Thomas, your photography shines through because our points of reference for composition are so different. I know I would have botched it by presenting that same tuft of grass and prostrating the camera at water level to make it very large, with the sky reflection being dominant, as well. So, it might just be a wash, without the subject being distinguishable from the clutter...Thanks for sharing your anonymous lake location, and all your experience to bring it to life. :)
I'd definitely say yes to be sponsored by a beer! xD
Rock on 🤙
Beer Sponsorship… YES
Hes living the dream right there
Tuborg, Mads?
I would agree Peter, I mean how often do you see UA-camrs sponsor by beer. As always great video Thomas!
Keep up the great work!!!!
man, your videos honestly soothe me like nothing else. i literally watch your videos to calm my stress after a long ass day.
me too
I love the way that you showed all the photos again at the end. Nice way to finish the video. Would be nice addition to your future videos.
Agreed!
Completely agree!
the summary of photos at the end is a fab addition!
Thanks, man. These are the videos I enjoy making the most. 👍
Snow in the forecast this weekend: Jumping into my van heading up Germany's elevations.
Still not knowing where I will find myself with the camera in hand.
The grass and woodland photos blew me away.
A beer sponsor without being a pro football player!!! Congratulations. Beautiful sceneries and photos.
Thomas, thanks for a relaxing morning off. Drinking coffee and watching a few of your videos are always a great way to start my day.
I enjoyed having the photos show up again at the end of the video, sort of like a recap. Beautiful photos.
Superb images. I love the golden light enhancing the golden autumnal leaves. Looking forward to next weeks vid.
The tree images are just gorgeous! Colour, texture, composition. I would never tire looking at these. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video with some great images mate. Definitely don't need to be sorry for a beer sponsor. I've not had any beer approach me yet although I did get a sponsorship offer from an electric razor for shaving your balls!
Bird Watchers hike in the pre-dawn too!
It is magical to hear the forest / jungle awake around you💜
Wow. The photograph of the grass was just beautiful.
"as the kids say, FLEX". LOVE it.
The Trossachs have many beautiful locations, better luck next time.
I love Scotland and the Trassachs is a great place. Looking forward to the next one.
Maaan the trees forming that heart... that image was epic, stunning!
A cup of coffee and this video make a great way to start the day!
As a portrait artist of 40 some odd years transitioning to landscape you never cease to inspire. Thanks for great videos.
climbed that hill many times... great vid. looking forward to the next one
I do love a good Scottish video, thanks for sharing Thomas.
Wonderful video. Totally agree that the best part of landscape photography is that it gets you out into the great outdoors.
I like to watch your videos before going to sleep. The tranquility helps me getting over the stress of the day. 👍
Also sponsored by dimplex hand heaters ... 😆 ... As always great work Tom! 👍
Only 1000 until 500K! You can do it Thomas!
Beautiful images near and far especially the golden birch trees...
love the sound of the van.
You are my favorite landscape photographer and the best one . Thank you for this youtube Channel that’s all I’m going to say.
I like the fact that you include the settings when you show the final image.
That third image is a real portfolio image. It's outstanding!
Probably one of the nicest wee hills in Scotland. Good lung buster for the start of the winter hiking season lol
Awesome, that you have a new sponsor! Love the video and thank you for putting the photos at the end for another view.
Good precaution when parking for the night is to have your van parked facing your best exit route with space behind to reverse also just in case you do have to ‘get away’ if you feel at risk during the night. Keep making these fascinating and informative vlogs Thomas
Those golden forest tree-tops though 😲😲👍🏾👍🏾
I immediately recognise that view from Ben Ann! Feel like you're really rewarded far more than you should be for such a wee short hike.
16:44 the angle is *_perfect_* , I feel like I've seen it all my life, in my dreams, it's just so natural and right!
Thanks a lot. That's my favourite too 👍
This video sort of pulls me back to the early days of your channel mate, speaking for myself only, that added van part takes your content to a whole new level, it does makes us viewers feel right on the action too, great job
I really love the images of the valley floor done with the long lens - they're both my favorite to shoot, and also what I would want hanging on my walls. Deeply peaceful.
Love the van’s new muffler. 👍
Шикарная работа

Thomas thanks for making art! The idea with all the frames at the end of the video is very good.
Looking forward to new videos and thanks for the subtitles
Wow! Beautiful square images. ❤👍
Great video Tom 👏👏👏 looks like a lovely stop off point. My fav that first detail shot of the birch trees 😮😮😮 gorgeous colours and morning light.
nice one Tom, really enjoyed this one, reminds me of the reason why i first started following your vlogs, Glencoe was the first one i watched many years ago and it inspired me to do a 7 hour trip from North Wales to do the same. keep up the great work, looking forward to the rest of this trip. stay safe.
I'm agree!!
That's awesome to hear. Time for another one?
@@ThomasHeatonPhoto Yess!!! I'm looking forward to seeing another one Tom!!
Exactly the same for me John. Watched that Glencoe vlog and was there a year later in the middle of winter 👍
God that last image of the trees was wonderful. It reminded me of the Dutch landscape painters of the Golden age like Jan Dirksz Both or Rembrandt!! And hell yeah to the Beer Sponsor!! 🍺
Great episode. Van life, sunrise, beer, a big hike and some nice photographs.
Another video that inspires me to get out again and again. Thank you. Loved the final images at the end. Worth the hike in the dark.
Great video. I really liked the first shot of the grass. And the 3rd shot with the yellow and green trees, i really liked the composition how the yellow and green curved around each other it has that Yin Yang feel to it.
Cheese and Salmon!!!! What?!?!? I can’t with this Thomas.

Lovely! Scotland adventure! Yay! Love Scotland. Enjoyable video, felt like going back to the roots of what it is to be a landscape photographer. Added bonus of having a beer sponsor, congrats Thomas. Enjoyed the video. Cheers!
Loch Achray 1st photo. Great subject. The hike up ben A'an is a good wee stretch of the legs. Nice to see you visit one of my favourite places. XD
This is the Thomas I came to know and love. Only one thing missing ‘absolutely stunning’!
I like the all shoot shown at the end. Good idea.
Those woodland studies with the long lens are beautiful Thomas. The last one, in particular, is a stunner!
I started watching your channel to enhance my photography skills and motivate myself to shoot more. After some time I realized that I do it for simple pleasure of almost living the same adventure while watching. Even if it is only my virtual adventure still it seems very real to me. Thanks.

Enjoyed that one Tom. I’m currently in the Trossachs for 1 more day. Heading north today towards Bridge of Ochray.
Good to see you enjoying one of my local walks, Tom.
Beautiful Ben A'an.. stunning light & conditions Thomas.
