Purity test of oil additives Xado Turbo VeryLube and NeoProtec GT-em
How does the test run?
The same amount of pure 5W40 oil mixed in the recommended proportion with the selected oil additive. Each sample was then heated 3 times to 250°C with a stream of 550°C hot air.
The sample is always at the same distance from the heater. The temperature is measured with a professional standard laboratory thermometer.

Why do I heat the oil to such a high temperature?
I want to show the limits of oil where the oil loses its properties and the oil starts to precipitate impurities and settle on the walls of the engine. This is similar to the temperature in the engine, e.g. in the upper part of the piston. Just because the temperature sensor in the engine shows 90°C does not mean that the oil has the same temperature throughout the engine.
How to assess the oil level after the test?

I'll only give you one value. I take into account the degree of blackening of the oil and the amount of contamination on the walls of the tube. The blacker the oil, the stronger the smell of burning is felt. The consistency of the oil added to the oil after the test can change to thicker. The more dense the oil is after the test, the worse.

Well from what I can see Xado very lube is darker at the beginning due to its reddish shade, however it keeps its colour untill crosses 200degrees. After 230 it turns black very quickly, and stays that way. You should do friction test after this state also to see how it affects its protection abilities.

I agree with you, neo-protec had the best result ever in this test...
I proposed the measurement of PH because most additives degrade into acids, even very strong ones, drastically reducing the engine oil TBN and therefore the life of the oil.
250°c is an extreme temperature, however in special cases such as turbo petrol engines, these temperatures can occur, especially if the engine is turned off when the turbine is still very hot.

The change of color indicates the degradation of the product, the problem is that the degradation of the halogens specifically the chlorine, generates hydrochloric acid and acid salts that can cause corrosion, for this reason the xado says not to exceed 4.5% concentration. .
