For those interested, the reason why this song sounds like a "good bye" one, it's because this was intended to be the last MAX song in the series, after the launch of DDR Extreme the game was supposed to enter in an undertermined hiatus. Then it came back with SuperNOVA and Fascination -eternal love mix- it's a callout to In The Groove, "I'm all you need" refeers to only needing DDR for playing and "We are connected" referring ITG song Disconnected.
Actually this wasn't meant to be the last song in the max series, it was meant to be the last song in the DDR series. DDR Extreme was meant to be the last game in the series so they made sure to end it on a high note. Then Konami pulled a Spongebob and went "Wait this thing get's us a ton of money we can't just end it" and made Supernova.
That's because DDR Extreme was supposed to be the last version of DDR. And this was supposed to be the final boss song. It also explains why most songs in the newer DDR versions are just pop song rips, not actual creations by Konami. And the middle where PARANOiA appears is a tribute to the very first boss song by Konami.
Just so you know. Max. (period) finally makes an appearance in AC DDR as an ENCORE EXTRA STAGE in the Replicant-d-ignition event (DDR 2014). First time since 12 years ago it debuted in DDR Extreme (CS Japan).
Why do you need KONAMI ORIGINAL songs? They varingly continue to grow, and beyond the limits, unseen eternal possibilities to thrive. Whether it's doom or hope. 2MB/MAX.(period)
@Hereforyou4 2MB was the group that only made remixes. If you notice, there is no track that already wasn't an original, that has a 2MB tag under it. It was also said that Konami Japan asked the 2MB group to touch upon one of the greatest known boss songs in the old DDR (Max 300) as the final song for the series. DDR was supposed to end with this song. After that, a different department saw a future for DDR, and bought it from the people who originally produced it, which is why more come out.
After comparing the number of songs from the arcade to the home version, I started to complain a bit, but it can take up a lot of space for the memory card if using other 500 songs. ~AzianStrider
to be honest i really dont understand this BG movie DX when i first heard the song i expected the bg movie to be more....flashy and Extreme. but anyway its is a kick ass song! :D
what happened to the site? I was referred there not just by the description but on most forums but every time I go there, all I see are 2 bikini girls. Anyway, I think the song "Dance Dance Revolution" is also some sort of a goodbye, the music is from the 2nd mix intro, and the video shows the intros of the past ddr mixes (all the way to 1st mix). Max (period) should be re-included into the next ddr mix, they may have said goodbye, but should they be forgotten (thinks about celebrate nite)?
And Konami reads this via government satellite and commissions Maeda and Yuichi to colab on a series of extended boss mixes to teach us a lesson (again). ~Hades~ (Relinquish Survivor MAX eternal love mix) anyone?
Pretty much. As far as the US is considered, Once Supernova was released and how badly off sync everything was, it went downhill. SN2 brought a bit of the Extreme feeling back, but not by much. Then DDR X came out....... God help us.

Then songs like Paranoia Revolution and Max 360 happened
wait FELM is a max song??
@@290coolkid Fascination MAXX
I mean i would call the 4 year gap a hiatus considering before it was like a new game every 4 months
"Thank you for playing." *applause* "Thank you for playing" *applause* *metal curtain shut*
If I ever see a "Pluto Max"
With 2mb under it, I'm gonna have a heart attack.
Aaand then you realize Relinquish exists.

やっぱりこれがDDRの最狂曲だわ・・・今聴いても飽きないです。さすが2MB。

But in DDR CS (JP), It consider that Challenge is very easy to pass then Expert.
Now in Arcade (DDR 2014), It is now Very Hard then Expert.
New Challenge Chart (Hardest Lvl 18 in my opinion)
*WHY DO YOU NEED KONAMI ORIGINAL SONGS?*
それらは変化し成長し続け、
そして限界を超え、まだ見ぬ永遠の可能性へ躍動する。
それは希望なのか破滅なのか。
"Why do you need KONAMI ORIGINAL Songs?"
Why do you need KONAMI ORIGINAL songs?
They varingly continue to grow,
and beyond the limits, unseen eternal possibilities to thrive.
Whether it's doom or hope.
2MB/MAX.(period)
Before there was Paranoia Revolution, there was Max.(Period).
both, both are good.
good bosses songs that also made good tributes for older DDRs (1st-2nd MIX) as well
@Hereforyou4 2MB was the group that only made remixes.

"THANK YOU FOR PLAYING!"
Max.(Period) is such an awesome song. I guess it was supposed to be the song to end them all.
That's song from DDR 2014 for 'Replicant D-ignition'
I hear that!!!
Actually it's originally from DDR Extreme CS. However DDR 2014 is the first time it was on AC.
Max. (Period) is an official DDR song, remixed by Yuichi Asami (2MB) that only appears on the Japanese version of DDR Extreme 8th Mix for the PS2.
And now it's in the arcade games starting with DDR 2014. In DDR A, A20 and A20 Plus, this song is available to play by default I think
To think that this video was uploaded in UA-cam in the same year where the main DDR returned after long decline.
Max has some of the best remixes from the games
There are some scenes in this clip that look like a recording studio. Is that where Konami produces music?
I think this is the behind the scenes of U1-asami aka 2mb working studio
And the middle where PARANOiA appears is a tribute to the very first boss song by Konami.
Memories... xD
@maisboyfriend 2MB Is not a grouo, is Yuichi Asami, the person who is in the video. He is DDR Director.
Because when DDR was first made Paranoia was the hardest song they made, now this is the new king of DDR.
I love the atmosphere of this one. Somewhat eerie and liminal yet so enthuastic. I just hope i dont overplay this :(
*_Why do you need KONAMI original songs?_*
Why do you need Konami Original songs?
Did you know this song first debuted in DDR EXTREME but never showed up until DDR 2014?
OMG 2006 😱
legend song
After comparing the number of songs from the arcade to the home version, I started to complain a bit, but it can take up a lot of space for the memory card if using other 500 songs.
~AzianStrider
Why do you need Konamia Originals? BECAUSE THEY KICK ASS!!
I Played This Song In DDR Extreme And OMG That Was Really Faster!!! =O
Not just that, It could it be worse if Tohoku Evolved have a 1,020 BPM at the end.....
It's like Konami died, and this is their tribute.
amazing ddr song!
to be honest i really dont understand this BG movie DX when i first heard the song i expected the bg movie to be more....flashy and Extreme. but anyway its is a kick ass song! :D
@Hereforyou4 2MB is so beast they predicted that this would be the last and hardest 10 footer. (That doesn't overdose on crossovers)
But when the Paranoia songs played, the DDR 1 screen seemed to be a "little" lagged. Why?
i luv that music
U1,2mb,chang ma,club spice,etc are all the same person!;P
背景すっごい好きだった
this song sounds to me like konami's goodbye
Why do you need KONAMI Original Songs?
Que buena rola.

DDR 1 is old, so when Konami put the clip of them starting PARANOiA, DDR 1 might have lagged. Or it could have been the uploader's fault (JD1JD2).
Awesome! i luvvv Yuuichi Asami!
And Konami reads this via government satellite and commissions Maeda and Yuichi to colab on a series of extended boss mixes to teach us a lesson (again).
~Hades~ (Relinquish Survivor MAX eternal love mix) anyone?
Then everything went uphill again with the release of DDR X2
I agree!
~AzianStrider
They need to add this song in the Arcade DDR Games.
They did in DDR 2014. Although the Challenge chart was revamped for the arcade. I believe this song is available by default on DDR A/A20/A20 Plus
@0:21 Yuichi Asami! :D
True. But 2MB made this. So it's like Konami died. 2MB found out. This is the epical boss song.
MAX.(period)
▪From: DDR Extreme (CS Japan) / DDR 2014
A whole 11 years later.
Why do you need Konami original songs?
never mind, it's open again.
DDR X2 in Japan..... yes.
DDR X2 in America..... No.
One Keyword to make the Difference in that Decision for Expert players is Betson.
Pretty much. As far as the US is considered, Once Supernova was released and how badly off sync everything was, it went downhill. SN2 brought a bit of the Extreme feeling back, but not by much. Then DDR X came out....... God help us.
Over here!
:D
Thanks!! *-*
Am I the only one who went to the linked site, and found nothing to do with DDR?
this song is back in DDR 2015
Nope, this song wasn't first off at DDR 2015
It start off at DDR Extreme CS (JP).
+Ha'nel Bachrach 'back' in 2015
This also appear back in 2004
As in, from konami themselves or from seperate artist that goes on stepmania?
and DDR Extreme japan
I wish this was in X2....
pensar que era la canción definitiva de la saga DDR... por eso por el 98
I mean max version not relinquish
Why do you need konami original songs anyway. all they do is keep the game from turning into pop revolution :3
is it official?
o.O
2MBとPARANOiAの人って一緒なのかな...
***** U1氏なんですか~...
ありがとうございます〜^q^
