Believe me bro I use to be one of those Naruto fans who said I would never watch one piece because it looked lame but I stared watching it like 7 years ago I use to watch it as a kid but only because it was like on of the only things that aired on tv I never really got into it let me just say I love this anime same thing with bleach and a lot of anime I use to judge a lot cuz everyone told me it was trash they almost stopped me too but I’m too open minded I gotta give something a shot at least once and I’m glad I did.
In short the war lords are each on their own side and may go along or betray the navy depending on their objective.

I mean is hody jones even considered a villain? to me he is more of a symbol, like Lucci, who was just the representation of the world government, and hody is the representation of racism.
now, I dont see why you would respect Moriah as a villain just from Thriller Bark alone, more than being a representation for "what if Luffy lost all his Nakama".
moriah in thriller bark isnt respectable though. although in the more recent episodes, you can see he has guts, with raiding Blackbeard's base just to get Absalom back, and that kind of tells you that losing all his nakama to Kaido really fucked up Moriah mentally.
its sort of like what we had with croc and his childhood dream of being pirate king, but the anime never showed that because the anime refuses to adapt most cover stories.

Hody Jones is way lower than the other two tho, he don't have any redeeming quality that could make him likeable, he's isn't loyal, smart, powerful (without some drugs) and don't even have the motive Arlong had (Hody never experienced racism) while Moria is a least a good captain to his crew (he's creating zombie because they're disposable, so that his actual crew, even if 2 out of 3 are rotten, stay alive) and Kuro is smart (and pretty badass for early one piece, more than the villain before and after him)

Skypiea feels like the end of old One Piece. it's a fun ride but people consider it "filler" because it doesn't feed much into the main plot (yet) like other arcs do. Water 7 is where shit starts to get crazy, and your viewership should definitely increase around there.

It's understandable as for many people don't like skypeia as much as any other arcs but I 100% guarantee you once you hit water7 (next big arc) you will get tons of views :)

LETS GOOOOO. btw those shots on the opening were taken from the color spreads of the manga since opening 3 or 4 I think they decided to use them so the openings weren't too spoiler heavy, and I think they work great, mostly of the color spreads are them in some new location having an adventure, but in more actual openings they focus more on the arc and the things happening since One Piece got so big

One Piece is fire, but the pacing in anime do feel really slow compare to the manga. So maybe watching more than two episode will help attract more viewers. Especially you are now in the least favorite arc of the show.

So, the second to last opening was made specially to commemorate One Piece's one thousandth episode. Yes. I typed that right. This was a special opening made for episode 1,000. And like you said, it's basically a revamped version of the very first opening made with the new art style and including all the new Straw Hats that have joined the crew since the show started.
I used to switch Nami and Robin's names around when i started watching show, its fine you swapped Zoro and Sanji, i totally get it. I also used to be a hater on this show too. I was around when 4kids had the dubbing rights so it was way worse for me to get over that because Crunchyroll wasn't huge back then. Now its my favorite anime of all time.
Somebody probably answered this but, we pretty much stay in the Grand Line and go to what's called the New World for the rest of the anime. The remix with the new outfits is the 1000th episode special. just a fun tidbit if you didn't know: Chopper is voiced by Pikachu's voice actress.

Ok Im new to the channel, keep up with OP because it’s absolutely GOATEd, and I just found out u started watching High Skl DxD, which is a great anime 😆
The only “bad” pacing in one piece imo is Dressrosa, Dressrosa is an amazing arc just way too dragged out Skypiea and Fishman Island are a little dragged out too but pretty bearable. Please stick with the series as you said it will just keep getting better, the saga after Skypiea will stun you it comes so early yet my third favorite in the entire show, also I am not sure if you skip fillers but if you do, dont skip the one after skypiea it is literally better than some cannon arcs, the best filler in anime history you won’t regret it!

I would say Dressrosa IS pretty long in comparison to other arcs, hell, I'll even go out and say it overextends itself, but atleast on the manga side of things it COMPLETELY hooks your attention. Atleast on my end I didnt notice how lengthy it was until I had finally finished it and begunt thinking all that happened through the arc.
