Kara Wood - LiddellWORKS Artist in Residence

Here ceramic artist Kara Wood tells the intriguing story of collecting impressions and shaping them into a memorable and memorious artwork. There are some twists and turns.
LiddellWORKS is a program of Arts Upper Hunter, in partnership with AGL, the Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre and Singleton Arts + Cultural Centre. It marks the historic closure of the Liddell Power Station which occurred in April 2023, looking to the legacy and the future, the industrial structure, the people and the broader community.
The program responded to the history, closure and transformation of the Liddell Power Station with community events, workshops and engagements along the way, culminating in an exhibition at both Singleton Arts and Cultural Centre and Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre.
