For everyone watching this….it is not the clothes that make you depressed it is other mental factors….just because someone is emo or goth dosnt mean they hurt themselves…..even if they are and have those health factors you are ignoring a big part of their health and making a joke out of it not only that you are forcing someone to change there style just so they look “normal” or they are “better”. Another reminder dear viewers someone can be goth and/or emo and be Christian or any other religion that dosnt change the relationship with the god(s’) they are worshipping. Our job is to have a safe place/space for everyone, if someone is spreading these rumors it is our job to politely correct them 🫶✨.

But when people, including my friends and family, started teasing me and calling me "emo" or "depressed" or "you look like you are going to a funeral" because I wore all black, I got really discouraged and stopped wearing black. It really did hurt my feelings because I was neither depressed, emo, or going to a funeral. So for everyone to know, just because you say that somes looks depressed or is emo because they wear all black doesn't mean they are and it can really hurt their feelings. I'm a Gothic-punk, I usually wear only black BUT when I _really_ feel like it and feel confident enough, I wear something hue/bright. Like my orange tanktop along with an orange bandana, orange chains, wristbands chokers, make-up and other accessories.. I think it's obvious that my favorite color is orange but sometimes I really feel anxious wearing it.. same problem with wearing revealing clothes especially on those sunny days, I still can't get used to it.
