So interesting. That same pier I explored in the 1980s. It was crooked then, but not the way it is now- it has but one bend back then, but now it is practically mangled. It's survived so many harsh storms, and at the end of the pier I will never forget the two manta rays swimming by. The gulf stream is right there.

I wonder how many times Avon Pier has been re-built since its' inaugural opening? Do you know Mr. Things?
Not sure about rebuilt but it's definitely been repaired countless times!
