If a man's name is Mr David, then his wife's name is Mrs Adams-David, then the children's name is Ade David, Mary David. Is this good for the society and the children. This is very destructive.

@abisolaatere4326... The children's mother's name (Mrs Adams-David) is different from their father's name (Mr David). The children and their parents are living together in the same house. Abegggg, this is very destructive. I used d name David as an example.

Well spoken Mariam Longe, what i expect the minister to do is to help them out if it’s true just like the thoughts of Tope, is to help get her into a mental institution to help, because the young lady said she’s been praying which’s good but let us educate this young lady that after prayers take a step of faith by taking your mum to the mental hospital for medical treatment.
Welcome back Mariah. We missed you. Glad you are back. I have come to understand that women never have their own names, unless they make it up. I had my fathers last name, then I got married took my x husband name. Then we converted to Islam and changed our last name. Now that I am divorced. I kept the name that we took as Muslims. ow I dont have either my fathers last name or my x last name. Neither of us has our original family names. I am now remarried and my new husband don't mind that I keep the Islamic last name. He said that its too complicated to change names, especially in NYC. I admit that I love my family name that was my fathers. It is a very unique name which I love. My original last name was Coulthurst. I miss that name and people that i knew in the past cwould be able to identify me by my original name. Now no one could find me by the name I now possess.

I don't agree sha. The problem we continue to hsve is "we keep questioning things" i think the bible already answers it by saying "two becomes one" the husbands goes to bring is wife ro be wirh him.
If we say rhe children should grow up snd decide whose name they want to bear, we might end up having crisis just like we are already having gender crisis where a man wants to become an animal or the opposite gender

Let every woman stay with their surname after marriage. Culture evolves, and we should evolve with it. It has nothing to do with happiness or unhappiness in marriage. Why we need to change our surname is an excellent discussion to have. When something goes wrong in marriage, e.g. a divorce, the man has nothing to change, but women change their surnames again. My daughter is not changing her surname after marriage!
