It wasn't just Chaos Sanctuary with iron maiden. Oblivion knoghts in WSK 3 with different colour hands also did iron maiden. That was really really scary. Iron maiden, succubi blood stars, and blood bosses. Oof that was a tough spawn. Also, I remember when Lord De Seis spawned with other oblivion knight minions rather than doom knight minions. That was really scary. Also Iron Maiden/Blood Golem bug made it so that every attack damage return from iron maiden counted as a blood golem attack. That was fun,.
In my mind we need to bring back some of the 1.09 "bug": build a synergy where Blood golem benefits from Iron Maiden like it did during 1.09 and add PMH to iron maiden directly. I would love to see a Pacifist Golem, Bone wall, Iron Maiden build. or maybe any 60 point build that uses the left over 40 points in utility skills to make a almost unkillable blood golem instead of a skelly army.
I noticed in the video you were playing Players 8. One of the biggest problems with Iron Maiden is that the Damage to Hitpoint ratio of monsters gets more and more out of wack as you go up in player count. Hitpoints increase by +50% per player, while damage only increases by +6.25%. By the time you get to player 8 the monster has +450% hitpoints but only +43% damage. Even worse is that in Single Player monsters get something like +25% hitpoint buff on top of that. As you know hitpoint regeneration is greatly impacted by a monster's hitpoint total. Ironically, one of the ways they could improve Iron Maiden would be to actually make the game harder. If damage scaled up more in player settings, Iron Maiden, Thorns, Spirit of the Barb, would better able to keep up. Sadly, until that time, it seems like Player 1 is the only way to play it. I liked your suggestion about applying Open Wounds to nullify regeneration.
In Normal Difficulty it is a Matter of Life and desth, but it hits the Final Frontier in the higher difficulties, in in Hell difficulty it is so weak it should be called Dream Theater.

I remember doing the Iron Maiden + Bonewall/Boneprison combo on WW Barbarians in PvP back in the day. I felt so clever, and was disappointed when the prompt message in the corner of the screen said "X Player was killed by a strong force" or something of that nature - it didn't display your name as the pk'er.
Use to run an iron maiden necro just to kill WW barbs in duels, they instantly killed them self every time tele stack skeletons, WW hits everyone and iron maiden one shoots them. Was worth it every time, merc with prevent heal vs bosses.
I have a Summon Necro with a Fire Rogue with Edge bow in Nightmare. My golem is lvl 10 Blood with a point in Fire for synergy. My skeleton are magi. So I have +3 to skill on level 1 Poison Nova wich cuts more health on vast thrash mob buy stopping regenaration then dmg from skill. Dmg creep up faster then with lower resist , Amp dmg or decrepify. So I send a steady pulse of poison every 2 seconds. When one champion is left I curse him with decrepify Amp dmg or lower resist... (player 6) act 2
@@Mortyrian not sure it's a pretty simple process. Cast iron maiden first then golem. Wait for him to physically hit the golem it dies repeat. If the golem dies by fire, or lightning, these don't count as they are not physical attacks

yea back when oblivion knights could cast iron maiden I kept a ranged weapon on melee chrs just to clear act 4. It was very annoying

I liked the idea of turning iron maiden damage into magic damage. I feel it should also apply to ranged attacks.

It's ok, I think thorns is better as you can combine it with Amplify Damage.
My personal preference is make an edge bow early on the cast amp.
