I think the camera shows the lights brighter than they are in real life. I used to have this too with only 6 lights. It really "enlarged" the experience. only downside to me was that it wasn't timed to perfection. they have the slightest lag wich is noticeable with fast paced movies. otherwise it's great. I already had a Philips with ambilight and the Hue bulbs so it was a no cost extra.
I think its distracting as well, but to each their own. I have a very simular setup But, I only use the Hue Lighstrip behind the tv with settings I recall being set to MODERATE & BRIGHTNESS=60%. You want to be emerssed into what you're viewing, not distracted. Movies like JOHN WICK 1,2,3 & 4 are trully amazing with my setup in my room.

Not sure about that lights. Isn't that distracting? I'd rather all my focus be on the screen itself.

@SnowballSpinner makes sense! And sounds awesome too to be honest
It's not distracting at all in-room. People always think that until you see the effect in person
really cool
Very cool effect😎👍
Don't know how I ended up here but this isn't for me. I want the room pitch black when I'm watching a movie.
@@Ancient_West probably some sort of ADHD cure for me. It makes me pay attention. If I was in a dark room, day or night, I'll be asleep in 10 minutes
It's cool that this can be done, but I'd rather not. The lights are too bright and distracting.
What TV is that ?
