    One of my favorite trails to do in AZ. Definitely more difficult running the trail clockwise. That long steep descent seems like forever when driving up it.

      Yeah I'll have to do it the other way next time. It would be like a totally different trail.

      I agree Todd. In fact I was told years ago to only run that trail clockwise as in many areas it would be extremely difficult to pass a vehicle coming the other way

    hi! I m from Quebec Canada, I own a blue 2007 fj, got a 3' lift and performance air filter,
    I mostly like to drift in snow, and sometimes trail in summer.
    I must say, I m most impressed with your skills and guts!
    you re not scared to try, risk, and take a little damage on your rig, lol.
    I m a bit like you, it s no Caddy, lol.
    I just subscribed, watching this, wow, on a 10 scale difficulty, it must be 8-9...
    you re better than me, those big rocks? they can forget about me, lol.
    watching a few videos, I saw people breaking shaft joints.
    I admit it has me intimidated, like you, I mostly do this alone.
    breaking in the middle of nowhere alone makes me nervous, ha, ha!
    I have no winch, and my tires are winter 2 plys, not recommended in rocks.
    I keep it 4-5 level, I don t have much spare money for repairs either.
    snow drift is not too hard on the rig, and I love it above all else.
    I ll check your stunts though, you make it interesting,
    and have quite a cool sense of humor, lol.
    good show brother!

    • @offroadhub.official

      Thank you! Going out alone is a little risky, but it's pretty tough finding people to go with, and I carry lots of tools and extra parts for things most likely to break. Driving in deep snow is definitely fun!

    The story behind the bridge is it was an old wooden bridge that got burned in the wild fire, then replaced with the one that you went over a few years ago, I first crossed that bridge in 1985 when it was in bad shape and creaked a lot.

    • @offroadhub.official
      @offroadhub.official  3 роки тому

      Interesting that it used to be wood. The "bridge out" signage was relatively new, certainly within the last couple of years in terms of age.

    • @11silver-bullets
      @11silver-bullets 3 роки тому

      @@offroadhub.official I guess I shouldn't complain, we only get snow higher up in the mountain forestry roads here in B.C and mud and rain in the Vancouver Lower Mainland areas .
      We do get alot of rain this time of year and get to do lots of flooded creek crossings if deemed safe.
      Check out our local UA-camrs ;
      The Story till now , Casey 250 and Dirt Garage . All a bunch of buddies who showcase alot of our terrain and trails up here in British Columbia. They have some pretty nice Jeeps and one bad ass Toyota lol .

    The best way to cross a sketch bridge is to go slow. You want to keep the dead load as straight down as possible, avoiding rolling moments of inertia across the beam, possibly knocking a beam off of its shelf. Another thing is to try to get your tires directly over the beams.

    Around the early 1980's? the Viper Militia was practicing with explosives and unintentionally blew up the original bridge, which I think was wood. The state replaced it with what is there now. The last time I was up there there was a lot more building/equipment, so there must have been a fire or something.

    • @imthenoid69
      @imthenoid69 2 роки тому +1

      The Sunflower Fire of 2012 (caused by idiots) took out almost all of the cool buildings that used to be around the mine and huge tumbler. The bridge is subject to erosion now and probably a little less safe each day. I don't think the forest service will fix it again but who knows.

  • @cw50must

    Wow another one I haven't done in years, I really need to get out more. We used to run that the other direction back in the day. That area suffered a fire a while back and then some flooding. Thats why a lot of those big trees are dead as seen from the drone. The mine used to be really cool, but most of it lost during the fire. also did this once with ice/snow, young and dumb...

    Wow, very remote. The wash Terrain is totally mountain lion turf. Do you ever get the creeps setting up the camera all alone? Cuz I don't see you with a side arm ever. I carry a 357 mag with me all the time I'm off road. And yes, I did have to use it once. In Johnson valley California. We have feral dog packs. Mostly they run away. But one time they kept coming. Even after a warning shot. Anyway just a thought.

      Wow! Feral dogs? 😳 I have had the creeps about mountain lions, but have never actually seen any signs of them. I figure I'm making a ton of noise coming up the trail and they'll avoid me... The most dangerous animal I've met on a trail was a human that wanted to fight...

      @@stevegreen245 when I've actually had the creeps about mountain lions and bears, I'll give a horn honk before I get out of the vehicle just to give animals extra warning. Most animals don't want anything to do with a noisy human.
