I have a head cannon that when you mount another monster, your monstie gets jealous. Especially when it's their own species Edit: I accidentally typesd this comment twice do to not being able to see the first one.
I always thought of it as fun teamwork strats when I leap from one to the other. It feels so satisfying when the game gives you that when leaping from your monstie to the enemy! And then you see your buddy still circling and helping you out. But it is funny to imagine them getting jealous
