Yes. It will work with other logging programs (those listed on the extension webpage) and as long as the radio supports CAT control it will work to use the QSY button. That is assuming you are using the helper app David has in the instructions on his website. For example, I’ve used it with my Icom IC-7300 and it works great.
Thanks for watching and for the comment. I don’t know the answer to that. I did reach out to the developer a few months ago asking about the status of some functionality listed on the site as in the works. I never heard back which is concerning.
Sorry to hear that. I’ve tried to contact the developer a couple times and never got a response either. I’m still using Log4OM for logging and it works for me.
Well Since changing the United States parks designation from the "k" park designation to the "US" park designation it no longer works to let you know if you've already worked that park before. It did work for and still works the Canadian parks changing from VE to CA designation showing if you have worked a particular park or not. Guess the developer probably won't make un update for it, but it was great while it worked. Still shows awards though. Thanks for the program, David K2DW, while it worked it was great for folks like me that are not technical. N5HA
@@HamRadioOverTheCoax Hey thanks for the reply. David contacted me yesterday on Discord and this morning potaplus is working great again. It had to wait for everything to catch up. I'm happy again. 73
Thanks for watching. I can make videos on the various digital modes in WSJTX if there is interest in that. I wasn’t trying to get too deep into those topics in this video. I’ll add FT8/FT4 to the list of video topics to cover in the near future. Thanks again.
Nice overview. I knew of the extension, but didn't know how powerful and integrated it was. K2DW is great and has been a big help to POTA.
Thanks for the comment. It is really well done and something I use on a daily basis. I’m looking forward to what the future holds for it.
Great info - I had no idea about the chrome extension, can't wait to try this
Thanks for watching. Happy to hear you found it helpful.
This is a great setup - does it work with other logging programs and radios?

Nice, another rabbit hole!
Great video. Thank you. But the plugin is approaching almost a year since the last update? Is this an active project still?

Great add on but zero support...sent several emails asking for assistance getting it to log to my logging program but never got any response.

I agree. It was great while it worked. I hope it gets updated but there have not been any updates in over a year so it doesn’t look good.

I was very happy when I refreshed the POTA spot page and saw things were working again. The extension is a very useful tool.
Nice presentation. However, you didn't go deep enough into the FT8/FT4 modes.
