My dream job would be handling and taking care of precious jewels like these - they are so stunning and such exceptional pieces of craftship.
I saw this exhibition when I visited London in 2012 - it was absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for archiving these displays so that I can relive my memories (and thank you to the UA-cam algorithm for recommending it to me all these years later, I guess).
I was lucky enough to see this exhibition in 2012. I do have to say, the video is wonderful but seeing them in person is absolutely breathtaking. I love every part of history and it's amazing to see how much work and creativity was put in commissioning these pieces.
very solemnly respect the Nobility's greetings
Sorry dear Queens Elizabeth!
Forgive me Excuse me!

Do you know the fact that most of the jewelry is stolen from India. This is absolutely disgraceful that they are proudly displaying stolen items. Queen should return the jewelry. The Kohinoor diamond which she has in her crown is stolen from India.
@@rajeshramachandran1812 I am from the US; we basically stole land from the Native Americans. I get it - its sad that even happend in our histroy but history isnt pretty. Lots of famine, lots of poor people suffering, wars, corruption, theft you name it.
I think doing right would be by making sure India's history is also shared and people are educated about it. Otherwise, the door opens and not sure if itll get resolved.
@@deniziz I appreciate you for telling the truth. Brits always denied of any wrong doings.
@@rajeshramachandran1812 Absolutely! The Us is trying to do the same thing by sharing the sad history of Plantations, and identifying those who were lost due to slavery. It wont undo history, but people should be educated about it.
7 rings: queen Elizabeth edition
I actually crying wth lol
Thankyou so much for this! I attended the exhibition last week, so nice to have this "souvenir." I just loved the Coronation necklace, it was alive with rainbows!
Thank you for sharing that beautiful collection.
Terry Hyde roll tide
thank you so much lady maria!
I mean, to open your jewelry vault and having all these amazing pieces at your disposal. Wow! Reminds me of that scene in the Prince & Me where Paige sees the vault for the first time. Every girl's fantasy. I'd wear a tiara all day, every day - even in my sweats when I'm taking out the trash.
Chances are, you wouldn't be allowed to. Royal etiquette, some pieces can only be worn on specific occasions or whatever.
But for some reason people look down rappers or other celebrities that wear a lot of "bling". It's been a thing for centuries. I do love the way the collection is displayed. It brings all the focus to the pieces. Really extraordinary.
Nice video but did anyone else notice finger prints on some of the stones? White gloves should have been used when handling them.
+Warren Ripley yes very much so.
Any one that knows how to handle jewellery of ANY kind should know to use white gloves so not to get finger prints all over the stones which in turn causes them not to sparkle like they should.
Maybe they're the Queen's fingerprints!!! You try telling her what to do!
Warren Ripley I would touch all those diamonds aswel if I had that chance.
They should wear latex or plastic gloves white cotton could catch on the fragile mounts and damage the metalwork.
Thank you ! A wonderful video !!
Indeed i was there!!!! fantastic!!! Beautiful history!!!
Truly beautiful collection
Wow! An incredible exhibition of Buckinghan Palace jewels! Absolutely mesmerizing!
The quality of your videos is unparalleled
This is absolutely natural diamond be. Love Jewelry Editor. 🥰🥰🥰
They need to get the finger prints, off the jewelry. It takes away from the brilliance.
Sheree Morgan
I don't understand how they didn't notice- it really is quite blatant and it detracts a lot.
I winced when I saw the print on the table of the Williamson diamond. An extremely rare brilliant cut purple-ish pink diamond weighing almost 25 carats and you can't clean it before the exhibit? WTF?
Not so sure either whether or not all the stones in the royal jewelry are of perfect unblemished quality.
Wow!!! What a treat for the eyes!
What a beautiful song that plays at the background. We really need to know its name, please.
It’s just a generic piece of “muzak” of the simplest kind which someone churned out one afternoon and didn’t bother to name. It’s nothing really.
beautiful
OH MY GOD BEAUTIFUL CROWN AND DIAMONDS!!1
Maria Doulton has a beautiful voice, she is so elegant
Isn't it funny how we place importance on diamonds which are, in reality, extremely common. The only reason they have such value it's because they are withheld by others. If I had my choice I'd rather have colored stones, rubies emeralds Sapphires and such than diamonds.
They are not common. You cannot simply find gem quality diamonds laying around on a walk in the park. Understand gem quality, and garbage quality.
But these are royal diamonds.
...I agree deeply that stones of this size and colour are very rare. Try to understand, that even if you have some nice rough diamonds, you can even dispoil them by giving them a bad diamond cut. The visual beauty you can see and enjoy by watching the sparkle of a diamond is the result of a very good cut and polish. So you have the so called 4 c's which all have to work properly together: The cut, carat, clarity and colour. Those shown pieces have a good cut, definetely high carats, a sensational clarity and color. All these caracteristics make them to a big rarity. Don't forget, many of the shown pieces have been cut and polished in a time without high tech mashines or computers. Rubies, emeralds and sapphires are fine gems as well, but nothing is as durable and at the same time sparkling than a well cut diamond with a high light performance.
Myself, I'm particularly fond of amber, and pearls. 😉😍 A "white" or nearly colorless stone goes with everything, though... one avoids being criticized like the crown princess of Denmark, for wearing her ruby parure with an _orange_ dress. 😉
Oh my god bitch you're not special, every other fucking comment about diamonds is along the lines of this drivel. THESE DIAMONDS ARE EXCEPTIONALLY LARGE AND RARE AND THEIR VALUE REFLECT THAT! Of course the majority of black and brown gravel looking diamonds aren't valuable in jewelry, no shit!
His majesty is great.
Wow so beautiful.
1:56 that's a looted indian sword for sure😂😂😂
Yeah and they have no shame showing it off like that
Yeah it is.
Museums are full of looted items around the world, stay mad tho, you aint getting yo shit back 😅😅😅😂😂😂
@@Johndoe-gf7eu You just proved thier point. Cuz that's the generic British take on other peoples belongings. Huge L 😂😂
I went to this absolutely amazing.
Beautiful❤
Went to see this exhibition.
Exquisite!!!!
The Queen looks stunning wearing that postage stamp crown!
Would we ever be able to see it again in exhibition ?
I really want to know why my Shazam app cannot get the song that is played in this video. It sounds so familiar to me and I am trying to get the name of it. Does anyone know what song is playing in this video?
Magnífico, amei.
I love diamonds ^^
The sword is just awesome... and ones heart lights up when you realize Queen Victoria had a taste for Indian diamonds and jewels
They were given to her you know that by the Indian government that's b******* lies
@ME C Queen Victoria was Empress of India. You do not steal from yourself.
You can't steal from your own imperial subjects, their wealth is already your property.
That's why she stole our jewels.
@@ds1868 British not ruled they robbed ... When you know the difference between that . You will correct this statement
In 200 years our great great grandchildren will be looking at today's rappers diamond chains and grills at a museum.
Stupid. Do not compare music rappers to a Queen and Head of State to many many countries.
I hope not.
Craftsmanship and history remain craftsmanship and history, however distasteful you may find any specific expression of craftsmanship and history. I don't see why you'd waste time bitching about kids these days instead of enjoying these historic diamonds.
gracias por este video, es como si uno estuviera en la exhibicion, Dios te bendiga!!!
The result of Imperialism... but still, the craftsmanship is astounding.
superb
Please, what is the name of the music being played at the beginning.
The jewels are much better located here so that everyone who wants can see them.
0:49 Queen Mary's Fringe Tiara (I think) that Elizabeth II wore on her wedding day.
1:20 (Far Right) and again 2:43 "Granny's Chips" or Queen Mary's brooch is amazing!
Caret weight total is about 150ct! It only has two stones!!! 💎💎
*D A Z Z L I N G!* Thanks for posting!
Mary really was the *Queen of Diamonds.* She wore a piece known as a diamond stomacher which was a HUGE jeweled wonder that is more armor than jewelry LOL!!! She would wear ropes of diamonds with her huge diamond brooch and beautiful tiara.
_Have yo seen awr Mary's bonnet?_
_It's a stunner,--noa mistak!_
_Ther's a bunch o' rooasies on it,_
_An a feather daan her back._
-From the poem "Mary's Bonnet" by John Hartley
aramanth that tiara is Queen Alexandra’s diamond kokoshnik tiara.
I can't see any of them that really impress me very much. Especially the ones with pearls on them. Never did like pearls.
Could anyone know the name of the background music?
I would like to know too, beautiful music
would like to know more but how?
What is the opening track????? PLZZZZZ
Anyone know if there Is there a book or catalogue available for purchase?
Yessssssss Darlings
That would be one hell of a jewelry heist, that nobody could ever sell lol.
I mean nothing compared to the heist of jewellery from India that the Europeans sold each other and are now scattered in private collections, including that of the British Royal Family. Just this year a British social media influencer appeared at the Met Gala wearing one of the Maharaja of Patiala’s legendary necklaces.
Man the queen has ice for centuries 😂
Once Andy Warhol said that it would have been so glamourous to be reincarneted in a Elizabeth Taylor' s jewels but more glamourous in one of the Queen Diamonds😅

I am just wondering the real stories of each stone of those jewels.
The real stories of each Diamond and other gems
real stories that it have been stolen gems from across the world.
Dug by slaves in the mines.
Murder, Rape, Looting, Plunder. Thats your stories!
Real stories is that bloodshed massacre by the British Empire during their rule .
Every diamond is dripping with blood and having stains on it.
Have a lot to say to the the world about British monarchy .
Looted from india
The calinin dimond was the bigest in the world and came from RSA
what is the title of music?
Springs awakening
Sandstorm
Leila Morínigo is that the actual title of the song? By who?
Extravagant.
Many jewels of Al Thani treasure.
And many Al Thani jewels originate from India
seria bueno q estuviera subtitulado en español
anyone knows the music? :)
Sachen Coburg und Gotha familly jewles...how wonderful...it must be from good old days when England spread democracy throughout the world...
Fuck off!
So true!
Was Hundt Johan of Swabia a known armourer jeweller during days of King Edward VII? He had many lovers to impress.
What is the name of the background music and where can i download it
Please tell me
Jubillee is Marvellized
Ur chp is badd :()love it.
Would like to see more of the jewels and less of the talking heads.
wholeNwon
Obsolutly ‼️👍
Then go and see them yourself. It's the whole purpose of an exhibition
Not everyone would be able to go and see exhibitions such as these. Perhaps the exhibition isn't in their area, or they might be ill. So when something like this is posted, it would be nice to see the items as they are being talked about. After all, you wouldn't go to
whats the song playing in the background?
it betful
I was shocked to see fingrrprints on some stones.......this is almost unheard of !!!!!!!!
Diamonds are the hardest substance known, they ain't going to dissolve with a fingerprint.
The Queen had to educate the plebeians on what a diamond really is
That sword was from India...
Woow
U just showed my bow I had warned in my hair u.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Harika muhteşem
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👍👍
How much is the crown worth?
Officially, the crown jewels are priceless, since they are not insured. However, if appraised, they would be estimated at almost $6 billion.
Pparadise of the Queen?😗
I wonder why no other queen or princess has worn Queen Vicroria's crown!!
Victoria's crown has a very small circumference. She wore her hair in a bun on top her head and the crown over it. Being part of the Crown jewels, no one has the right to wear it but Elizabeth, unless on loan, but her respect for Victoria prohibits that.
Actually Queen Alexandra consort to King Edward VII did wear Queen Victoria's small crown. No other Royal has worn it since then.
Chris Cherry
Marie-Therese Akl Her daughter-in-law Queen Alexandra wore it.
👍❤
..."and the rest of you, just rattle your jewelry"
Famous Beatles quote!
Sad to see indian pieces belonging else where. But im glad they do give credit to the indian even today
great …….
Spend less time showing people and more time on the jewels please!
To think that most these precious stones were taken from the colonies of Britain for centuries...just like the Koh-in-hoor diamond that was dug in South Africa.
most of these treasures are from Gold coast now Ghana
Juliana Nyaho Tamakloe Which ones?
The brunette explaining the jewelry sounds like Cathrine, Duchess of Cambridge
??????????
Omg yes I thought that as soon as I heard her speak
Yes ,well educated neutral English accent, perfect elocution.
“Stolen jewels” should be the right title for this video.
Agree with you as most of the British jewellery were from India
The Grand Delhi Darbar was organized at Delhi on January 1, 1877, in which Queen Victoria was proclaimed empress of India. Queen Victoria was proclaimed with title “Kaisar-i-Hind” at this Durbar. Lakhs of amounts were spent on the organisation of this Durbar while the whole of India was undergoing a famine which they were responsible for but not a single amount of money was spent to ease the sufferings of the people facing the famines

@@maksudurrahman5300 what the hell...which country are you from ?

Millions starved to death in India when harvest was stolen by empire and aid ships filled with grain for India by FDR were not allowed to proceed further from Australia by Churchill! Abhinav Tyagi why would you need diamonds though you need clean water first
@Abhinav Tyagi So naive of Indians to blame their own faults on others. Many of those gifts to Britain were actually stolen by Indians before they were gifted to the former.
