Just a few days ago I got yelled at by some kid for using Ronin with highlander, however I roasted him by the fact that I was a better player and the fact that he had to steal other peoples kills he is now blocked on my Xbox.
Particle wall would like a word as would A-wall no really just pop it and crouch next to the shield and as long as you aren’t STANDING ON THE EJECT you should live
Thats what im saying. If you charge in head on you're kinda weird. Hes also a direct counter to legion. Phase dash counters charged shot. Sword block counters main weapon. Arc eave counters gun shield.
A personal set of tips for Ronin: -Only melee occasionally. It's better to keep a slight amount of distance as Ronin as it prevents most Titans from dealing too much damage whilst dealing slightly more damage yourself. -Save your dashes for combat. Dashes may be useful for avoiding damage and retreating from intense team situations. -Equip Turbo Engine. It's important that you maximize the dashes that you have. It's better to be alive then use yourself as a suicide bomb. -Use sword block whenever you aren't shooting unless you are trying to cover massive distances. -Arc wave disables shields. Use this to help friendly Titans remove the existence of Tone because Tone is a piece of OP bullshit. -You can use your electric smoke within phase. This may not seem useful, but 90% of the time the Titan you phase-smoke will spam melee or fire randomly in the air because they know there's a Ronin but they have no fucking idea where they are. -While blocking, your reload progress will not be reset much. This means you can unblock at key moments and attack when the enemy Titan least expects it. -Ronin is very strong as a attack when used correctly. But is always good with support. Stay behind lines and disable every shield to scare away Tones and Legions.
Ik I'm late, but do not use turbo engine, it makes it take longer for one dash to recharge, so it's good for just rushing in, but as soon as you run out, you're fucked, js waiting for it to recharge
@@Deadly-Dozer No. I like running Grapple and Gravity Star. I also like the extra dodge because I can enter cover very quickly. I never use any more than one dodge to engage as Ronin, because his shotgun is better than his sword imo.

Tips from a ronin main you didn’t mention: reload ur lead wall inside ur phase dash, use sword block to black nuke ejects, and the two ark wave charges is the best perk in combination with the extra dash
Quick tip for Ronin: Although Phase Dash should be used to get out of tough situations, it can also be used offensively. Phase dash makes you travel farther than normal dashes, making it a great ability to catch up to other titans if your normal dashes run out. It also allows you to run in like a Kamikaze pilot and more easily close the gap at longer ranges as well as negate some damage (which, however little it may be, can save your life).

Ronin and Legion counter each other out a big time. Sometimes a Legion absolutely murders you and other times they just cease existing from your presence. Trust me, I play both. (mostly ronin though)
I know the video is old but as a ronin main i can assure that ronin duels are probably the most interesting titan 1v1s there can be because you cant just spam the opponet u need to block when they are shooting shoot when they are not blocking/reloading and manage your phase dash correctly

Hell yeah, immune to cores, two defensive abilities, melee shreds pilots, almost completely counters tone, highest overall damaging core, SPEEED, underappreciated shotgun. He is the absolute worst at range tho
@@doorsareforopening Yeah, I use the double electric smoke and double arc wave and I just fuck up everything, I hit a titan with arc wave and then phase dash behind them and deployed my electric smoke and then hit them AGAIN with arc wave then go around them deploy the other electric smoke, shoot my shotgun and then just spam the sword button

Great video, it’s exactly how I feel about Ronin! However if I could change one thing, it’s the fact that hitting a titan with your sword pushes you back. It’s so irritating that a titan based on melee should close the gap after each hit... But maybe this would make him op in expert hands.

How to make sword core terrifying : Dash speed =now ..... your "core active" movespeed Effectively infinite dash and your dash is even faster. No more enemies dashing away
Ronin's shotgun is actually pretty effective at getting titans into a range that leaves them vulnerable to melee, but you have to know the combo. Arc wave, unload your clip, phase dash into their flank and reload during the dash, then unload the new clip, then go in for melee. You don't win all-out brawls even with the increased range and damage, so you have to use the sword as a finishing tool until you get your sword core up
1) If you aren't shooting an enemy or sprinting across the map hold sword block 2) And yes I said shooting. YOU HAVE A GUN. USE IT. Unload your 4 shots then reload while phased or in cover 3) You're the fastest titan in the game with 3-4 dashes and have a modified melee with broader range basically you're an anti-pilot assault weapon, play like it 4) Anti-pilot tip: If they jump at you, just back up. Seriously. They won't reach you but your melee will reach them 5) And once again HOLD SWORDBLOCK. It turns your effective health from 1 northstar to 2 legions 6) Speaking of legions. Don't. Just don't. Powershot kills all your momentum, unless they're doomed or distracted just leave them be
How I play ronin Step 1: run overcore Step 2: run battery back up When entering a match: Did you get your Titan first? If Yes, dash around like a madman and turn pilots to pulp with your sword If No, only drop your Titan after you steal a battery from the enemy’s first Titan. You should have 40% core and an overshield. Run around and get some chip damage in. Once you loose overshield, phase dash out, use back up battery and restore your health. You should now have 75% core. Now you dash I. And dump your shotgun in an enemy titan’s face, which should give you sword core. Activiate sword core and swing like a madman. I can usually get 2 Titan kills out of my sword core because if you get it super fast like I try to do you won’t get shit on by someone else’s core and enemy titans often haven’t formed a death ball yet
I have 40 hours played with Ronin and it is the most fun to use. but in border defense when activating the nucleus you go to the KAMIKAZEEEEE against literally everything that moves so that the core is recharged and at the same time the shield is recharged for each loss of enemy Titans eternally you are immortal every time you do damage with the core activated the shield is filled.
After a full year of maining papa scorch, I tried to play Ronin for the first time in ages. Let’s just say Ronin was the first prime titan I ever bought after 5 matches with him
Ok so I’m a ronin main and I feel like I’m ok when I’m fighting multiple titans and also since his HP is so low I use phase reflex to give me and 2 chance and to get close to the enemy titan/pilot so I get a better chance at killing them with the nuke eject.
As a ronin main, my strategy is a multi step plan: 1.phase in while blocking 2. Get an opportunity to arc wave 3. Stab twice 4. Block 5. Start over from 3 and arc wave when possible.

When I play legion and see a ronin I just smoke myself off and PowerShot hit to move him away bit
I play Ronin exclusively. There's definitely a big learning curve but he's amazing once mastered
Hell yeah, immune to cores, two defensive abilities, melee shreds pilots, almost completely counters tone, highest overall damaging core, SPEEED, underappreciated shotgun. He is the absolute worst at range tho
@@doorsareforopening Yeah, I use the double electric smoke and double arc wave and I just fuck up everything, I hit a titan with arc wave and then phase dash behind them and deployed my electric smoke and then hit them AGAIN with arc wave then go around them deploy the other electric smoke, shoot my shotgun and then just spam the sword button
I almost have him at G100 I have him at G81.12 and after that idk what I’m gonna do 😂, I love Ronin, definitely my favorite Titan but after I max him out I guess I’ll have to move on to another Titan 😭

However if I could change one thing, it’s the fact that hitting a titan with your sword pushes you back. It’s so irritating that a titan based on melee should close the gap after each hit... But maybe this would make him op in expert hands.
Incorrect. Ronin's melee actually has 80% less knockback than the other titans. And it certainly doesn't knock back the ronin.

I'm a Ronin main and he was hard to get the hang of, but when you get into the flow you will just DEMOLISH pilots and titans
It's all about knowing it its a good spot to use your abilities and core

Be careful in Attrition, if you phase dash inside a reaper, then you telefrag yourself and instantly die even at full health.
Yeah that sucks, actually you die with one single melee by a titan if it hit you when phase dashing too

Ronin's shotgun is actually pretty effective at getting titans into a range that leaves them vulnerable to melee, but you have to know the combo. Arc wave, unload your clip, phase dash into their flank and reload during the dash, then unload the new clip, then go in for melee. You don't win all-out brawls even with the increased range and damage, so you have to use the sword as a finishing tool until you get your sword core up
Only OG's will remember ronin's 90% damage mitigation on his sword block
Well that's why he's a level 3 difficulty.

Respect to anyone who can use ronin... But I still prefer my Northstar. And I still miss custom titan AI voices.
1) If you aren't shooting an enemy or sprinting across the map hold sword block
2) And yes I said shooting. YOU HAVE A GUN. USE IT. Unload your 4 shots then reload while phased or in cover
3) You're the fastest titan in the game with 3-4 dashes and have a modified melee with broader range
basically you're an anti-pilot assault weapon, play like it
4) Anti-pilot tip: If they jump at you, just back up. Seriously. They won't reach you but your melee will reach them
5) And once again HOLD SWORDBLOCK. It turns your effective health from 1 northstar to 2 legions
6) Speaking of legions. Don't. Just don't. Powershot kills all your momentum, unless they're doomed or distracted just leave them be
How I play ronin
Step 1: run overcore
Step 2: run battery back up
When entering a match:
Did you get your Titan first?
If Yes, dash around like a madman and turn pilots to pulp with your sword
If No, only drop your Titan after you steal a battery from the enemy’s first Titan. You should have 40% core and an overshield. Run around and get some chip damage in. Once you loose overshield, phase dash out, use back up battery and restore your health. You should now have 75% core. Now you dash I. And dump your shotgun in an enemy titan’s face, which should give you sword core. Activiate sword core and swing like a madman. I can usually get 2 Titan kills out of my sword core because if you get it super fast like I try to do you won’t get shit on by someone else’s core and enemy titans often haven’t formed a death ball yet

I have 40 hours played with Ronin and it is the most fun to use. but in border defense when activating the nucleus you go to the KAMIKAZEEEEE against literally everything that moves so that the core is recharged and at the same time the shield is recharged for each loss of enemy Titans eternally you are immortal every time you do damage with the core activated the shield is filled.

Ok so I’m a ronin main and I feel like I’m ok when I’m fighting multiple titans and also since his HP is so low I use phase reflex to give me and 2 chance and to get close to the enemy titan/pilot so I get a better chance at killing them with the nuke eject.

As a ronin main, my strategy is a multi step plan:
1.phase in while blocking
2. Get an opportunity to arc wave
3. Stab twice
4. Block
5. Start over from 3 and arc wave when possible.
honestly it’s so f*cking funny charging at a tone that is depending on her shield thinking that it can protect her from everything, but you use arc wave and that shit is gone! it’s just so satisfying watching the tones panic every time that happens
