I love how Matt was the one to bring Elena's humanity back not Stefan or damon, Matt. That just shows how powerful their friendship is.

Matt and Elena are the actual #FriendshipshipGoals. Did anyone notice hoe beautifully their bond was shown is Season 3. He was the only one she could speak about dilemma between Damon and Stefan to. Not Bonnie, not caroline. But Matt. And how he would help her so much, You could hate Matt all you want but as Rebekah said, he was a loyal human.

I would make a video on Caroline and Damon’s friendship but I don’t like their friendship and I just don’t really like Damon at all. But I do plan on making a video about Caroline and her parents sometime soon.

Thank you! And yes I get so irritated when people hate on Matt. They like to talk about how he hates vampires, specifically Damon, and how’s he’s being so judgmental about everything. But they don’t take into consideration that Matt was just a regular 17 year old kid who was thrown into the supernatural world ( just like Elena, Caroline, Tyler, etc were) and his sister ( who was pretty much his only family) was turned into a vampire by Damon and then killed. He went months not knowing what happened to Vicki, and then he finds out everything that happened and about the supernatural world. It took 8 seasons for Damon to even apologize to Matt about what happened to Vicki. So of course he hated vampires, I would to if my only family was killed by one. He’s honestly one of the most hated characters in the Tvdu and for what? He deserved better.

@@fatoumatawaggeh9856 No Matt never said that he forgave Damon. So I don’t think Matt ever did forgive him. But I mean how could you just forgive someone for taking the lives of the people you loved the most and everything that Damon did to Matt? So I’d say Matt will probably never really forgive Damon, he might act civilized with him but that’s probably just for Elena’s sake.

For a long time I really tried to like Damon but there’s just so much that he’s done and the way he acts towards Stefan and other characters that I just can’t help but not like him. But there are times when I do feel genuinely bad for him and I do point out the good he does do even if it’s rare.

When they were together, she loved him but he was IN LOVE with her. It wasn’t that she loved him less than she loved her; it was just different. But it also made them the strongest of friends and in the end, I think that’s why their friendship prevailed so many times on the show. Their friendship was so strong because it was built in something more, mixed with childhood memories and friendship. I’m ngl so many times when I started this show at age 14 I really wanted them together for a bit. He was my favourite guy for Elena besides my OG Stefan; let’s be real I’m an adult and I still love the idea of Matt and Elena together even if it was like for an episode 😂
