Fantastic thoughtful questions to ask before purchasing a bag!! You're spot on, buy the style in the color your love, only these two rules matter to me now. I have finally found my perfect style, color & size. It took a long time for me to realize that I should no longer purchase light colored bags, because I am too worried about getting something on them, so end up not carrying them, such a waste!! LIve & learn!!
@@Jessiestyle I absolutely love your pink bolide and actually all of your Hermes bags, (AND bag charms esp Rodeos), but another reason I quit purchasing lighter colored bags is because of possible color transfer, I want to be carefree going forward when carrying any bag. Also Jess, you are the one who educated me on Hermes, so I got rid of all of my other bags & never looked back. Now Hermes is my "love", now & forever. My only regret is that I wish I would have known about the history of Hermes & their hand craftsmanship much sooner!! It seems ALL Hermes colors are such chameleons & go with anything & everything, which is another thing that I believe sets Hermes apart from all of the rest.
I keep my purse pot low to avoid impulse buys and it works for me. I have taken money from other pots on occasion and it’s been the right decision but I don’t like seeing less in those other places so it definitely makes me consider the purchase. I find I often see the right style but the wrong colour or vice versa so for me to buy, everything has to be right. Right style, right colour, right strap, right hardware… in order that I’ll spend MY thousands of dollars that they want to take from me.
HI Jess! I never buy a color I won't use. Color is super important. Most of my stuff leans toward darker colors, but I am so ready for something pink! Therefore, I rarely have buyers remorse. Then when I'm done with a bag, one of my nieces gets it. ❤ 🛍👜
All three times, I went to buy myself a Burberry, Rimowa and Prada bags and had my eyes on a specific color. Colors for all 3 bags were out but then I ended up buying different colors which I loved even more and I think they definitely suits me more than the original colors I had in mind.
yes to asking what do you carry. this stopped me from buying a small CF. i love wearing sunglasses which means i need to carry a case. so in a small it would not be it. glad i didnt go with a small and waited for a medium like i originally wanted.
I definitely find that pausing before pulling the trigger on a lot of things helps so much! I find the excitement wanes a lot when I force myself to wait. I am one who absolutely needs a large bag 😅 there are a lot I want to buy but I have to calm down. Oh I have to start asking myself “does it add value to my collection?” in a few areas in my life😅 Settling for things is an EXCELLENT point! Color and style should be both what you want in a bag, the regret would drive me crazy. Especially because even if I ended up really not liking it, I would keep it and force myself to use it, and I would be always 😑 Yes, I know that is crazy.😅 Fun video💃🏿
Jess your lipstick color looks very pretty. I’m currently looking for a light color spring/summer bag…crossbody or shoulder, made in Italy. Replacing a beat up Coach bag. I really want the mini Evelyne in green or Nata, Beton or light neutral. With Hermes, you never know if you will get in store.looking in to alternate options
Hahaha, pick me up bags are so a thing. I was having a chat with this SA and her client at Dior. She told me the day she's got laid off during 2020, she's bought 2 snake lady, a saddle and a book tote to cheer herself. I was like woah.
I usually don’t regret buying bags I really try to think about it a lot My problem is that sometimes I wait to long and miss out on a bag I really want ! 😞
At the moment I only got dark colour coach bags with durable leather and coated canvas. When I use them Iam careful but I don’t hold back. Last few months I been using a lulu lemon 2L belt bag I bought 3 colours aswell as a water bottle crossbody. They became my work horse bags I take on atv rides and to go out and work outside. I been feeling the Oct for a light coloured bag but I’m not sure I’m keeping my money for something very great or for one I’m watching and wiling to pay full price for to go on sale so I feel the savings if that makes sense. Have a good day Jess I’d love to see/hear about the shopping scene in Melbourne I would love to travel to Australia. I want to start an Airbnb soon you and Alex should come visit our Canadian estate.
Yes, you need a 24/24 … you need a 24/24…😵💫 Is it working yet? 🤪 I have to be honest, I not super fond of pink in bigger doses, but you’re starting to influence me towards liking pink bags. I was on the Polène website the other evening looking at all their pink bags! When considering what bags to buy, location and climate is also a wise topic to consider. I live in Alaska, which not only is very casual, but in particular where I live, we have fairly extreme weather. Will the bag be alright in inclement weather, or will it sit on your shelf because you’ll feel terrible using it?

dark colour is so much easier to look after as well!
I really consider the color after I bought a shade of pink many years ago, that I don't particularly care for. That bag never gets used. 😑

True!! Hermes is luck! Even when shopping preloved its hard to find the right price with color and style combo that you like!
