    I just ordered Kwumsy P2 Pro, big size screen, single type C usb enough for both screens of Kwumsy, and easy mount and dismount structure are the three options I liked the most. However, I just realized after ordering that the brightness is around 98 nits with only one type C cable. To achieve the 220 nits brightness claimed by Kwumsy, you have to use two typeC USB cables. My laptop has just one type C USB and one type A USB port (Microsoft Surface 4)

      Then you can just use another usb c plugged into power? I never realized this but thank you for telling me!!

    A convincing, helpful and thoughtful review. I don't need 3, so I was already pretty sure that the Intehill was for me before it was declared the winner. The reliable stand was important. Thanks. Now I'm going to the specific review!

      I'm in Berlin for 2 weeks now and the Intehill is my choice. It's been working great so far!

    Do you still have the Lenovos and the MacBook Pro?
    I would love even just a photo comparing the screen reflections and the outdoor visibility of the screens when set to the same nits of brightness.
    I keep hearing amazing things about how apple makes their glossy screens 70% less reflective than most glossy windows laptops with a special anti-reflection coating, but I can't find any accurate video or photo comparisons.
    Lots of people even say that thanks to that coating, MacBook screens handle reflections even better than matte windows screens, where a bright light washes out everything so much it impacts readability more than the reflections on the glossy Mac.
    Thanks and keep up the good work!!

      I currently only use the M1 Macbook Pro and sold the lenovos except one Yoga Slim 7 that I borrowed to a friend.

    Hey, do you still use your Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro as your daily driver? Also, will you be doing a review/comparison of the new Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro X?

    • @w2best

      No i switched completely to the macbook Pro 14" and it's so good it makes me less motivated to try other options on the market. The Yoga Slim 7 Pro X I think is a bit too high priced to buy... If there is an offer or sale I will try to get it. :)

      @@w2best Anyways, I just want to say thank you very much for your videos. You're the only one I've seen that goes into the practical details that other more popular channels don't discuss about.
      I got the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14" AMD matte version this year to replace my Razer Blade 15 OLED 2019 which despite having good specs and build, was loud on idle, too heavy and had horrible battery life on battery saving mode of 2hrs at first but 1hr after a few years. I do miss the glossy screen and better build but value the 16:10 aspect ratio, portability, quietness and battery life of 4hrs, which I still think it's too low but it's probably the best laptop I've used for my use case of watching youtube, CAD, windows software support, light gaming and light adobe products (photoshop, audition) use.
      I'm considering getting the M1 Macbook Pro 14" due to the excellent battery life but discontinued bootcamp (native windows support) is a huge dealbreaker. Fortunately, I do have a high end gaming PC setup but it does get fatiguing sometimes (due to the larger monitor size and idle noise) and I end up using the laptop instead.

      @@fisherman9548 Thank you! Just as we communicate about this there are some price cuts on the Slim 7 Pro X. So I might be buying it after all :)
      M1 Pro is amazing. I'm a huge fan. But not having windows is for sure annoying at times.

      @@w2best Cool. I am interested to see the differences in battery life between the Pro and Pro-X models.
      I forgot to mention my dislike of the backlighting behaviour of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro. The backlighting keeps turning on whenever you restart/turn on the laptop and there is no way to permanently remove this. I also use the standard function keys primarily and this requires you to turn on the FnLock key but its backlighting is very bright and you can't turn it off. I use tape to cover it up, but this is only a workaround. I'm kind of sensitive to RGB/backlight and usually turn them off.
      I'll also mention the youtuber Bijan Jamshidi who makes tech review videos with a similar style and upload schedule to yours though he focuses more on gaming monitors and occasionally other gaming peripherals, if you're interested in that type of thing.

    can you use a single usb power delivery from one external monitor, to second external monitor and finally to laptop?

    • @w2best
      @w2best  Рік тому

      I'm not sure what you mean? You can't drive two monitors that way. You plug power into either monitor, but need to plug the monitor to the laptop.

    • @anyonelk
      @anyonelk Рік тому

      @@w2best ok.. so a lot of these have usb power delivery pass through... and for most of these, both monitors require a power input apart from the video signal in.
      my question is do any of these allow for ac power -> to monitor a -> usb passthrough to monitor b -> usb passthrough to laptop charge.
      additional video signals via usb c/hdmi if needed
      Otherwise the number of connections required to the laptop is a little ridiculous (particularly since its the small laptops that lack the screen space) and will necessarily block the users ability to connect anything else to the latop like an external input device or hdd

      Given the popularity of 16x10 laptops I'm surprised Asus and other Chinese manufacturers have not started producing them.
