Brendan and Willie Mitchell fish out of Tofino Resort + Marina for the first annual "Fishing for the Future" Coho derby to support and enhance the rivers in the Clayoquot Watershed.
Loved fishing big tubby plugs off the banks late-August/September. Coho after coho after coho in the 16-25lb range. Oftentimes when a big school was found it was pointless reaching for the downrigger clip. Most fun fights of the season.
5:50 pacific jack mackral its not a yellow tail ive caught lots of those
Yeah there was lots of debate over it back at the dock too. Definitely pretty cool to catch one!
Love it! There are still cohos running up my little stream in Washington, they truly are amazing fish.
PNW_Boys Yeah they’re definitely special!

That’s awesome. Those are the best types of coho fishing days. Tons of fun!
