    Great video. I have most of the same mods. I have used your videos to help install some of the mods as well. Thanks for being helpful to the Vit/Svart community.

    I recently picked up a 24' model. I agree that the older models looked cooler. I think the newer model's changes make it a bit better all-rounder.
    Problem is, after market hasn't caught up with the changes yet.

      I'm sure there'll be plenty of stuff coming after marketwise. Just hope this KTM fiasco doesn't cause problems. There are plenty of "Don't worry. Business as usual." messages coming out from KTM Japan.

      @ Things should be OK. The group has such a big following between the three lines and other segments of their markets, saws, sewing machines, mowers, etc…
      I had an 890 and sold it for a T7. My cams were fine, I’d just always wanted a T7 and to get away from so much tech. I’d had a Pan America, the tech totally let the bike, and me down.
      So far I like the lil 401. I think it’ll be a great all weather, every day bike for closer to home.

    Earlier models were made in Europe, from 2020 it's been built in India, I recommend for people who want to buy one second hand to get the first models as the models built in India seem to have a lower quality build and assembly .

      It is a bit hit-and-miss with the Indian bikes. Especially with the 2020 models. I seem to have got a good one with no issues.

      @bikesonabudgetjapan yes for sure it's not like totally crap ! It's still KTM ""Husqvarna"" ! If you don't don't fuck around with it and maintain it well you shouldn't have to much trouble ! 🤞🏼
      Totally agree with you for the rest of the video !
      Greatest bike for a beginner ! Light and powerful enough to have fun !

    I picked up a brand new 2023 model in September. I've been looking at getting a used one for around 2 years, but the Husqvarna run out sale brought the price of a new one down to just above what used ones were selling for. It may be because I've been lusting over one for so long, but the 2024 model has lost everything that made the bike unique & desirable IMO.
    I've done pretty much the same mods, all from eBay & Aliexpress, but I went with the darker screen to improve the visibility of the dash during the day. I also went with crash guards instead of sliders so that I can mount a set of lights & a black jerrycan to blend in with the rest of the bike. I'm yet to add an ergo seat, but I'm going to go with the Vitpilen version because I prefer a 1 piece seat.

      Did you get those crash guards from aliexpress? I was looking at those too.

      @@bikesonabudgetjapan No, I got mine from eBay Australia. Strangely they were cheaper to buy locally than from Ali. They look to be from the same manufacturer as the racks because they both came with the same cheap key ring.

    Do tubed tires have any protection against rapid air loss? I'm planning to buy a Svartpilen 24, but I'm really concerned about riding at 120 km/h with tubed tires

      @bikesonabudgetjapan  16 днів тому

      I'm no tyre expert but the tyres haven't caused any problems so far. Tubes are the price you pay for having cool looking spokes at a low price. Sounds like you are after a performance bike. Are you sure the Svart' is the perfect bike for you?

    • @DangerSpliff
      @DangerSpliff 16 днів тому

      @bikesonabudgetjapan yeah, it fits all my needs, but tubeless tires are much safer when you get a puncture at high speed. They don't deflate instantly like tubed tires do. That's the only reason I am delaying the purchase. A puncture at high speed with tubed tires almost guarantees a fall

      I'm asking because if there is no additional protection against sudden air loss in the tires, then it will be necessary to perform some complicated maneuvers such as sealing the spoke holes and using slime in the tires. Or, alternatively, purchasing new wheels, because as far as I know, the KTM Adventure is equipped with spoked tires compatible with SW but tubeless. And this, in the best case, adds $1,000 to the cost of the motorcycle. In my country, it already costs $8000

      I hope you can figure something out. I don't think I'd be so concerned about a high-speed puncture.
