As of 2018, a 4th Generation HIV 1 & 2 duo/combo Anitibidy test (has a 95% accuracy in 30 days after possible exposure and 99.7% accurate after 90 days) along with a HIV 1 RNA QL TMA (99.7% accuracy after 30 days). Both test will be a blood draw taken to a laboratory for processing (not a rapid test).
The 4th generation HIV 1 & 2 Antibody test is far better than the previous HIV 3rd generation test, which required retesting at 90 days. The 4th generation duo HIV 1 & 2 Antibody test along with an HIV 1 RNA QL TMA (early detection test) will be given to be conclusive that you are HIV negative.
The HIV 1 RNA looks for the actual HIV DNA in your system and has pretty much replaced the Western Blot.
It's good to put out these awareness videos. but it would be better if they stop using actors and use real people, real characters. The acting makes it less poignant

Jessica Salomon so what? Their intention is to educate people how would an experience be when found +ve. Nobody would go to a doctor with a camera to shoot their discussion revealing hiv.

The acting is mediocre, but the scripts are horrible though. Anyhow, who in their right mind would act out something like this without a disclaimer stating that this is a re-enactment. I wouldn't want anyone thinking that I have it if I don't.
