After hearing all that confusion I'm not convinced Wirtual knows what the difference between a burrito and taco are or that he's ever heard of fajitas.

"Whenever someone tells me I can't do something I really want to prove them wrong"... Well Wirtual, I'm definitely sure you can't slide around covered in mayonnaise.
Have you not had good beans Wirtual? The beans are a contender for hard carry, just barely beaten by the meat of choice in a burrito. And rice helps with bite consistency, not only holding the ingredients themselves in place within the burrito, but also absorbing flavor from everything else in the burrito to almost guarantee each bite you experience every flavor within the burrito. All of this without mentioning the flavor the rice itself adds. If you get some purple rice, it can taste like you've added a second protein to the burrito. Overall I think you really should keep trying rice and beans in your burritos. I feel like you've only had low quality beans and rice if you don't enjoy them in your burrito.
Also, a reminder that you can really eat tacos and burritos any way you like. It should be noted that Norway's version of "Mexican food" is primarily influenced by Tex-Mex, not Mexican food (these are of course related, but not the exact same). So for example you'll usually see people using wheat-tortillas as opposed to corn-tortillas in Norwegian "Mexican food", you see much more use of cumin as a primary spice, etc.
Seeing Wirtual hit the WR and the gears turning in his head to get the 13 second challenge is so hype. It almost made up for twitch chat not being in the video shaming his awful take on Burritos.
To clarify on the whole burrito/taco controversy: In Scandinavia, most homemade "Mexican" dishes using tortillas will be closer to a kind of fajita than to anything else (fresh lettuce and greens, salsa/guac/sour cream and a type of meat), and tacos are usually in hard shells too and with the same ingredients. Having grown up on that, I can see where Wirtual is coming from - I was skeptical about rice and beans too. But having had proper burritos and tacos now, I can never go back.

My best guess with the plastic bounce at the end is that it's a custom block where the yellow segments are plastic, and the gray segments are asphalt or some other material. I haven't played Trackmania for very long, but I was thinking that the whole video.
I think that the reason that wall was so weird is that it was multiple materials, not just plastic, meaning hitting it at a different point would mean no bounce.
Finland agrees with you on rice and beans being weird in burritos. When Taco Bell came to Finland a lot of people were excited about it and then went like "but how is this shit supposed to be good?" :D
Beans in burritos are S tier if they're good quality, but yeah that's only if you make them yourself really. Most food places just use them to bulk up the filling and save money
I live in southern California and the burritos here don’t have beans and rice unless you ask for them. The go to “California” burrito is just: carne asada, pico, and French fries. Maybe some guac depending on the place.
Wirtual has never had good beans confirmed. I can see the point about rice but imo a burrito is meant to be a “balanced” meal in a tortilla, it can’t just be meat, cheese and sauce, needs some grain to bulk it out
Wirtual saying burritos would be better without the beans and rice has the same energy as someone who doesn't know about cars saying "wouldn't the car be faster if you removed everything except the engine and the wheels?"
@WirtualTV THANK YOU for the hot take on burritos/tacos/etc... I've been saying that forever and everybody thinks I'm crazy. Beans and rice are filler, they're fluff to carry the form, but they don't offer anything. Maybe a very small amount of either is okay for balance to offset the moisture or saltiness of the overall dish, but they shouldn't be, like, half of a burrito. Give me 50-70% meat/protein, 15-25 percent cheese/sour cream/guac, and like 10-15% salsa, beans, rice, and other toppings and filler.
Beans and rice are good in the tacos and the local tacos in Texas are super meat heavy. It's pretty much protein and cheese, the protein can be beef, chicken, port, beans, etc.. Fun fact, all burritos are tacos so all burritos are also sandwiches.
Wild take. Beans + Rice are a healthy and cheap combo, but not conveniently eaten without the right utensils. Burrito means can eat with hands like true monke.
It depends where you live in mexico as to what goes in a burrito. Northern Mexico often does refried beans and no rice. The refried beans add so much for flavor and mouth feel.
Your standard Mission style burrito doesn't NEED beans in it, however you should probably substitute another carb in it's place (usually rice or fries)
I agree about the rice, but not about the beans. I also tend to put leftovers into tacos just so they are not getting wasted and for some variation, which means I had stuff like zuccini or carrot in my taccos. IDK if that also counts, but I also did a satey chicken wrap once and it actually wasn't that bad (just not really a tacco)
You can still improve that too. You have a small part after the spin where the other player catches a bit. You could get more off if you don't eat the snow there or something.
You know what... As an American who's really into both authentic mexican and texmex, having grown up on it from a mother who's a good cook and learned from some mexicans, and having a boss and coworkers who are VERY mexican (including my boss who was also weirdly once a chef at an Italian restaurant and went to culinary school)... I would actually agree with that take. I have had some really good food truck bouritos that have beans and/or rice in them, and I think the rice ones are really good at soaking up any sauce used in them. HOWEVER... I think a good "meal" should be a balance between a few different things, such as a meat, a vegetable, and a carb and\or a starch... Lately I've been learning to just ditch the carb\starch because my mother's now a diabetic and as it turns out, you can lose an insane amount of weight ditching carbs and starches entirely, since your body literally processes it almost the same as sugar. As a side note... You can replace rice in any dish with riced cauliflower, add a little less water, a little more cook time, and about double the spices, and it'll taste about the same as the original rice dish recipe, while cutting out the carbs of rice. Anyway, in a bourito, the "carb" is already served by the tortilla. And, it's actually not that bad for you, the lack of gluten in a tortilla means it's fairly low carb compared to things like bread. Because of this, you could argue that including rice would be a double carb, which means the rice is stepping on the toes of the tortilla as it were. Slightly healthier is beans, since its more a protein rather than a carb or a starch. However, beans have a really similar texture to starches, so you could argue even beans step on the toes of the tortilla as it were. In both cases, I think beans and rice act as fillers when a meat of some kind and vegetables (roasted poblano peppers, YUM) would probably be better. Ditch the filler, use more of the good ingredients. Using extra starches and carbs in a burito, even if theyre good at soaking up sauces and spices, betrays to me that it's maybe cheap calories. Also, I might be strung up by my entrails for this, but, I dont think even putting pineapple in tacos is the end of the world. It sounds weird at first, but, there is a precedent for a fruit in a taco in mexican food culture: Mango fish tacos. The sweet of a fruit can be a nice counter to the savory meat and spicy peppers. To that end, my mom made a recipe for, weirdly, a taco that has chicken poblano and pears in it. Pineapple I think would be a little too overpowering and juicy, but, I could honestly see using it flavor wise... Might go really good in a taco that uses pork. As for pizza... No, sorry, Italian pizza is just better. I've been to Italy, I've had their pizza, generally just better. Most American pizza is ALL BREAD. Addictive, but not necessarily "good". Toppings wise though, I do actually have a weird one that was my personal favorite. When I lived in Germany (family is military, so if I sound like Ive been apparently everywhere, it's because I have, lol), we had a local Gaesthaus that was owned by an Italian chick, married to a German. She essentially made her Gaesthaus Italian\German fusion food as a result. I used to get a sort of Everything pizza there, every single time I went. I suppose in the US it would most closely be related to the "Supreme" pizza. But it had a few extra toppings that stood out as extra and not what you normally find on pizza. I cant remember everything that was on it, but I do remember one that stood out in particular. Artichoke hearts... And I am an absolute sucker for artichoke. It sounds weird, but I swear to god, it was absolutely delicious on a pizza. And given this was the brainchild of an Italian, I claim no "st@pid American" responsibility for this concoction. As fsr as Im concerned, this has been ordained and legitimized by an Italian.
(PS I know Im not really differentiating between proper mexican and texmex in my OP. Nor am I trying to, I dont think I'm really the right person to ask about either. I'm just saying I've had good food from both sides of the border, and am more musing on the function of beans and rice and other flavors here).

11:55 Razer/Wooting keyboards Snap Tap mode incident for ice 360s incoming?
My best guess with the plastic bounce at the end is that it's a custom block where the yellow segments are plastic, and the gray segments are asphalt or some other material. I haven't played Trackmania for very long, but I was thinking that the whole video.
I think that the reason that wall was so weird is that it was multiple materials, not just plastic, meaning hitting it at a different point would mean no bounce.
8:28 TRUE! Who puts beans in their tacos?!
Yes! Talk about the meat and cheese more!
Finland agrees with you on rice and beans being weird in burritos. When Taco Bell came to Finland a lot of people were excited about it and then went like "but how is this shit supposed to be good?" :D
5:48 Literally just finished my lunch when he said this hahaha
Beans in burritos are S tier if they're good quality, but yeah that's only if you make them yourself really. Most food places just use them to bulk up the filling and save money
I really enjoy these "livestream-style" videos you've been putting out.
As someone who does watch some wirtual to fall asleep, this burrito take woke me up now i cant sleep.
I love this type of video and would love to see more like it
The Burrito rant is hilarious. How can you have Burrito without rice, beans and pico? You lost me there, Wirtual😂😂
Texan here, if you can taste the beans in the burritos, you are at the wrong taco shop. Very European take lol
I live in southern California and the burritos here don’t have beans and rice unless you ask for them. The go to “California” burrito is just: carne asada, pico, and French fries. Maybe some guac depending on the place.
Wirtual, that burrito take is cancellable.
Wirtual has never had good beans confirmed. I can see the point about rice but imo a burrito is meant to be a “balanced” meal in a tortilla, it can’t just be meat, cheese and sauce, needs some grain to bulk it out
Hey Wirtual I bet you can't cover yourself in mayonnaise and slide around on the floor.
Fun fact, all burritos are tacos so all burritos are also sandwiches.
this was sick, I love the bounty vids
After seeing that 13.7x looks so doable if you don’t hit that snow. I’d offer a bounty but I’m broke
I don't think Wirt knows what a taco, burrito, or any of the rest of the family is, nothing on this channel has stunned me as much as that take
This is why I LOVE watching your videos
Wild take. Beans + Rice are a healthy and cheap combo, but not conveniently eaten without the right utensils. Burrito means can eat with hands like true monke.
Isnt he wasting a ton of time with that sharp turn at the very start? WR just drives straight
I'm going to start a petition to ban Wirtual from EVER having another food take...
It depends where you live in mexico as to what goes in a burrito. Northern Mexico often does refried beans and no rice. The refried beans add so much for flavor and mouth feel.
Actually awesome content. Great story telling. Loved how you made it look impossible
Your standard Mission style burrito doesn't NEED beans in it, however you should probably substitute another carb in it's place (usually rice or fries)
I like when my burrito is so covered in mayonnaise, it slides out of the kitchen
What a finish(I mean Swedish) I've never played trackmania but i watch pretty much every video you make. very enjoyable
good vid, excellent ending with that lucky bonk :P
You can still improve that too. You have a small part after the spin where the other player catches a bit. You could get more off if you don't eat the snow there or something.
13:36 he broke is mic again
In this world, we need one thing:
We need a mayonnaise brand to offer wirt an absurd amount of money he can't refuse in exchange of a sponsoring in the form of sliding on the floor with their product.
Beans are the soul of burritos, without them it’s just a sad wrap.
Tacos normally don’t have beans, though.
9:10 Mashed Potatoes are the GOAT in tacos.
the taco take is so real honestly, beans don't belong there
That was great, more videos like this one for sure please!
