Richard, there are songs from your catalog that are the theme of basically many of my childhood years in the 80s. I was first hooked when my Godfather told me the name of a song that I found very amusing. Ever since then, I have learned, and re-learned how to play it, from basic just one hand, to easy, to more difficult and as you played it, all by ear. That song was Ballad Por Adeline. Everytime I hear it, the song stirs emotions, from happy to somber, and is a nostalgic trip back in time, and no one plays it more brilliantly than you, Mr. Clayderman. This song, Music Box Dancer, is a close second, if not, it rivals Ballad for Adelaine- no disrespect Mr. Mills. They are just my top favorite number 1 contemporary piano song. A runner up would be an old song from Raul Di Blasio, I think actually just called 'Piano', but #1 position is Adelaine and Music Box. To hear you play this song blows my mind, as it is an amalgamation of nostalgic stimulation for me hahaha. As far as I'm concerned, you are a Mozart of my time, except you are not Mozart, you are The Great Richard Clayderman. I still forget how to play the song, and have to sit in front of the piano for days like a virtuoso, until every note comes back to me, at the EXACT tempo, softness, and timing that is forever imprinted in my mind and memory from that old beige cassette that I coveted for so many years as a kid. Thanks for your music and gift. If you are ever in ATL I will not miss that concert!
