Deutsche welche Deutsche wegen ihrer Herkunft diskriminierten, habe ich auch schon von anderen gehört. Als Mädchen hätte sie den Hof ihrer Eltern sowieso verlassen müssen, da dieser immer der erst geborene Sohn bekam. Nach 1990 ging sie in ihre alte Heimat, besuchte diesen Hof und stand am Zauntor. Sie gab den Leuten selbst gebackene Keckse, ein alten Foto von diesem Ort und freute sich das es noch gepflegt wurde. Sie hatte keine Absichten dieses Land wieder für sich zu beanspruchen, sie hatte erst in Sachsen und später in Brandenburg mit einem zweiten Mann ein neues Leben gehabt. 2014 starb sie mit 86. I'm a Pole with some German ancestry in me and I'm not sure why but this particular version of the song made me cry my heart out. Something about the way its sung is just so emotion-evoking it brought me to my core. It's beautiful, almost like one family singing about how they want to stay together and united through hard times. @@seronymus I don't like the state of my country today, but we'd be so much worse off if we aligned with the Slavs. Firstly, Prussians were pretty much exterminated by the Russians. They destroyed our castles, villages, and homes and slaughtered man, woman, and child if they were German. Those who survived were trapped in Poland where they were heavily abused and mistreated. They were even forced to wear bandanas saying "I am a Nazi". That's why so many Prussians have Polish last names today. They had to adopt a Polish identity to survive. In Russia even today, you can find graffiti of a Russian f*cking a German in the arse. Slavs literally despise us. I don't know how I'm friends with a Russian, but that's just a bad idea for a Germany together with Russia. Not to mention we're completely different people. I can only understand like two or three words in Russian from German just because they're similar. I agree, Russia is very morally aligned and I admire much about Slavs in general and I cherish my Slavic friends. But the wars are still too recent and there's too much hatred between Slavs and Germans. It'll be a few centuries, or more before Russia and Germany can actually call each other friends without someone on either side wishing for the destruction of the other.

@@OoooAMDG I must agree. The "unification" of Germany in 1871 under Prussian hegemony was a fatal mistake for all Germans finally resulting in the post-WWII tragedy, which among others mostly affected us, then Austrian Sudeten Germans.
If they did, it might be the best anthem in the world, I'm being totally serious. It also would be one of only three of the top anthems I've heard to mention God, the others being South Korea's (which is also spectacular) and of course Great Britain's.
We should use this as anthem in Germany. We also need a cultural revolution back to more traditional values, visible in architecture, literature etc. but not necessarily back to monarchism or dictatorship

German population would be at least 5 million less with the low birth rates here. So this should be addressed, because many I know have said that kids are so terrible today and that they don't want to get children because of that which makes the need for immigration sadly a neccesery one. @@seronymus I don't like the state of my country today, but we'd be so much worse off if we aligned with the Slavs. Firstly, Prussians were pretty much exterminated by the Russians. They destroyed our castles, villages, and homes and slaughtered man, woman, and child if they were German. Those who survived were trapped in Poland where they were heavily abused and mistreated. They were even forced to wear bandanas saying "I am a Nazi". That's why so many Prussians have Polish last names today. They had to adopt a Polish identity to survive. In Russia even today, you can find graffiti of a Russian f*cking a German in the arse. Slavs literally despise us. I don't know how I'm friends with a Russian, but that's just a bad idea for a Germany together with Russia. Not to mention we're completely different people. I can only understand like two or three words in Russian from German just because they're similar. I agree, Russia is very morally aligned and I admire much about Slavs in general and I cherish my Slavic friends. But the wars are still too recent and there's too much hatred between Slavs and Germans. It'll be a few centuries, or more before Russia and Germany can actually call each other friends without someone on either side wishing for the destruction of the other.

@@NeedTherapyUrgently All immigrants I know are really integrated. Some of them speak better german than others that have grown up here. German population would be at least 5 million less with the low birth rates here. So this should be addressed, because many I know have said that kids are so terrible today and that they don't want to get children because of that which makes the need for immigration sadly a neccesery one. The immigrants that came in 2010-2020 will be a fully integrated group in at least 50 years or even less. The immigrants that came here during the Wirtschaftswunder are so well integrated you cant tell anymore that they were immigrants
