Pre-measuring the ganache chocolate in jars = genius! Superb setup and so well organised, thanks for sharing. Part of me now really wants to see it with all the mess in full swing production...haha ;)
ha ha thank you! Oh yes it gets FULL of mess, sometimes there are glimpses of it in my vlogs LOL x
Don't ever apologize for tweeting birds, it's like apologizing for having a rainbow in your backyard
Very true from our perspective - yet you still get people who would moan about a rainbow..haha x
Very jealous of that lovely long stretch of work surface. We moved a couple of years ago, and I had to get used to a much smaller kitchen. Had it replaced and did my best to design it to maximise the space. I used a space under a window to put an extra work surface in, so I do have somewhere without overhead cupboards at least. Off down to the range tomorrow to see if I can find the rotating storage thingy 😀
Gosh yes, I dont think I could downsize from this..I'd have to throw all sorts away! Nothing better than a space in there though without the overhead cupboards - glad you found one!! it can feel so cramped otherwise.
Heaven....I am not worthy 😍 As I’m still just making cakes for friends and family, all my stuff still fits in one tiny cupboard. Great that you have a decent area with no over head cupboards xxx
Ha ha beware - it starts growing and taking over....LOL
Everything is SUPER TIDY and looks awesome!! :) Few months back I bought a cupboard, made heaps of shelves and sorted out my cake decorating 'mess'. Life became so much easier. I even randomly go and open the cupboard just to have a look and enjoy the view....lol.....feels kind of therapeutic :))
HAHAH I TOTALLY get this! When stuff is organized and has its place it feels SO good!
Thank you! Seeing how many drums and straws you have, my husband has realised actually I’m not so bad after all!! Can we have a video about a timeline of how you organise your cake making from baking/settling/cutting/ganaching etc. to the final collection. Does this help you not stay up till 1am decorating... asking for a friend lol! Oh and do you freeze your cakes during busy wedding season? #q&a
mwahha yes LOTS of straws!!! Sure I can do that! I can't promise you wont be up until 1 am though - I've done that plenty of times in my vlogs haha! No I never freeze my cakes - just a personal preference :D x
Little Cherry Cake ah that would be great thank you! Sometimes it’s just easier to wait until the little one is in bed and crack on, with the radio on and a can of coke to keep you going! Ah that’s good, I struggle with the timeline as it is without adding defrosting to it!! Thanks for replying though, have slightly fab-girled on the sofa!!!
Love this video, Tracey! We've just moved, so I now have my own dedicated space for my cake decorating! This has given me many great ideas! I also love the idea of pre measuring chocolate for quick ganache! Thank you!
Love your kitchen you have such long worktops, lots of super room , and your super organised, would love a kitchen with all that lovely space. Thankyou for showing us around your kitchen Tracey.🤗🤗🤗🤗
Hello and welcome to my little lovely kitchen which looks like a SURGERY ROOM🤪 Seriously, even such a cleaning-obsessed freak as me is impressed
hahaha x
Yes🙌🙌 your set up is #goals. I looked over at my Harry potter cake cupboard crammed full of stuff and sighed lol😅
Dude your message got spammed! haha I plucked you out :D ha ha nothing wrong with a Harry Potter cupboard - I bet you know where everything is inside! haha you should call it 'the cupboard of requirement' lol
This is fantastic! It's great to be able to see how a "real" professional cake decorator keeps her stuff organized! I think it was also very helpful to get an idea of which tools you find to be useful. Thank you! 😄
Thank you x
Kitchen goals! My eyes nearly popped outta my head when i saw all that worktop space. Some of the cupboards you said were messy are soooo organised compared to mine lol. Thank you for showing us your lovely kitchen
ha ha yes, lots of worktop space!!! Thank you x
Thank you so much for sharing your kitchen.. it's very kind, and helpful too.. I'm really thankful for your tutorials, You explain things really clearly and well..you are super talented 🤗 I love your accent too.!!
Thank you!!!
Thanks for the tour. So organised too :)
This was truely helpful, I feel you Lunn James, my husband said I need a kitchen all to myself because I have thing everywhere lol. I mean you can go shopping crazy if you don't have a good head on your shoulders and I don't make cake that much but I love it.
Thanks for watching! ha ha I feel you, sometimes I wish I had a 'cake' kitchen just so I could keep this one even just a little tidy! lol
So helpful, I would definitely try this for my cake store. Thank you
Thank you!
Wow I wish I had your kitchen I have to work out of a single wide trailer kitchen so it's about a quarter of the size of your kitchen but I did get some really good inspiration from your organizing tactics I love these kind of videos too they help just as much as your tutorials!
Awww thank you! Yes when we were moving house anything with a small kitchen was an automatic no..haha
I love helpful tips like this. ❤ Thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks for watching!
Very useful clip👍 love the way u’ve organized the cake items 👌👌👍 thank you 😍😘💕
Thank you!
Soooo happy you posted a video on this. Thank you so much ❤️❤️
Thank you for watching!
You have some great ideas, love were you keep your icing I’m going to use that idea. I’ve just had a shed built and put a kitchen in there for my cake stuff as it was taking over the house.
ha ha that's some next level storage!! There's just so much STUFF isn't there!?
Yes there so much stuff about, I’ve been collecting for 10 years and don’t like to throw things away, you never know when you might need it . Xx
Pretty cool how you organized it all to fit your kitchen and still doesn't look like your cake work has overtaken the room😂 After almost 10 years of doing my cake business from home, we took some drastic measures to fit everything. We moved our house upstairs so my whole downstairs has become the workshop/kitchen/decorating room😂 Of course we needed a bit of remodelling upstairs to fit a living room, 2 teenagers and the rest but it works! Lots of love from the Netherlands, Tamara!💕
ha ha wow that's incredible!
Love this. Thanks for sharing, I really needed this😊
Thank you!
I really envy your kitchen,it soo perfect
Thank you!
I loved this video! It pleased me very much. I want a cakey room!
Aww thank you!!
Eres muy organizada, gracias por tomarte el tiempo de mostrarla esta hermosa.
Perfect!Thanks.
I was looking for videos to organize my baking supplies so Thank you for showing what I can do💖
P.S. you also made me realise how far behind I am in terms of baking supplies😂
Thanks for watching!
ha ha This is just over 12 years worth of collecting! LOL
This is sooo great! Thank you so much! 💞
Thanks!
Ooo all that worktop space though 😍 super jealous! Love the idea for pre weighing the chocolate for ganache xx
ha ha yes, first thing that went in was that extra counter! x
I don't blame you in the slightest. It's great that you can have a station for each step! Although that would likely just make me put off cleaning up 😂😂 xx
ha ha true, there is SO much mess afterwards lol
Thank you so much for sharing👍👍👍
Can I come over for a playdate we're all we do is bake and decorate cakes.! LOL. I love your kitchen it's quite beautiful keep on caking..
Thanks for sharing Tracy! I think I'll watch your tutorials in a whole new way now! Love the chocolate idea, but I'd be too tempted to eat it all if I had that much in my kitchen. I have no organisation like this whatsoever. I need a declutter! ;-)
ha ha yes I've got clip lids on them to make it a bit more of an effort to steal any LOL
Very neat and very beautiful ❤
Thank you!
Thanks for your reply😀
Thanks for sharing,good effort 🌿
Thanks
Love your space! I live in an apartment and my kitchen is small but tall so I have to store things high which is annoying. Gonna steal some storage ideas from you, lol! Glad I only do a couple cakes a month, I can’t imagine having to store all that fondant🥴
Oh gosh yes, that would be a nightmare for me, I still have to get my step ladder out to reach things as it is! haha x
Wow! Thats my dream!!
Very helpful! I no your pain when it comes to a messy kitchen after a cake. Just finished one and my kitchen looks like a hurricane ran through it...lol
hahahaha xx
I'm in cake decorating heaven!!!!!
ha ha, I have too much stuff!
I would love to see your process... like how you store your cakes to settle in the Tupperware. . How long you let it sit after baking before decorating. Step by step bake to decorate would be lovely!
Yep video on this will be on the way! I'ts been well requested :D x
Very nice!
Thanks!
Ahi just letting you know I received my cherry badge I love it ❤️
YAY!!! Glad he got there :D x
Hello Tracey, thanks for sharing your kitchen/ cake decorating / storage room. Extremely organised ,again your a natural in every sense. Great space .Just a couple of questions you buy pre coloured fondant instead of mixing yourself. The callebaut chocolate is that 100% cocoa I buy the 45% for ganaching as the callebaut is very expensive in Australia.. Thanks again always so helpful. 😀😀
Thank you! The Callebaut I buy is 54.5% - Its roughly £60 a bag. :D xx
Wow!!!! I would love to spend a day with you... I would learn so so much... and I would be happy to clean your mess up! 😀😊❤️😂😬
ha ha you might regret that when you see JUST how much mess I make haha x
So cool! What did you put in your drawer with the large Renshaws fondant? Didn't understand that bit. Sorry 🙏🏾
great tips, im going to have to get more organised me thinks ive got a couple of those plastic draw thingies already but im going to have to get some more, i have a lil galley kitchen so ive taken over the dining room hahaha which i have to share with 2 of my sons who've got their game systems set up there. Oh to win the lottery and get a house with a HUGE kitchen just for cakes (sigh) we can but dream. Thanks for showing us all your storage tips xx
ha ha if you have to share with gaming set ups, then they have to share with sugarpaste!! LOL x
@@Cherrycakeco ive already got glitter over their stuff as you know those lil pump glitters are so pretty but god do they ever go everywhere lol xx
love the storage boxes, can u pls tell me where u buy them from. I am struggling atm
New subscribers - What a fabulous video thankyou for sharing. Did I miss how & where your cake tins are stored ?
Aww welcome! Thank you. Yes they are just stacked inside one another in the cupboard underneath my mixers along with the flour/sugar/icing sugar and scales.
Well, I wish I had your kitchen. Everything has a place. 💕💕My kitchen is a quarter of your kitchen. Very very small.
Thank you!!! :D xx
We can never have too much of everything 😁 So many ideas of cake stuff storing Thanks
And yes one question, so you finish your cake and you put it in your fridge or leave It out in the counter ?
Ha ha you never know when you're going to need it! lol
They go in an empty cupboard in the living room - it has a door on it so I can shut it in safely, I show it in one of my early vlogs :D x
Oh I do remember but I thought only for cakes that you were going to deliver right away, I remember you finish a cake with 2-3 days in advance so I wondered 😊
I'm in love with your kitchen😍 I have a room for baking. Most times I just leave my tools scattered, close the door and run when I'm done🤦♀️ Organising stuff is a struggle for me but I definitely have to do better. Thanks for this video. I got lots of tips. How do you store your cake pans please? They take up so much space
ha ha I'd love to shut the door on all my mess! All my cake pans stack inside each other and they just go in the cupboard under my kitchen aids :D x
@@Cherrycakeco Thank you so much. You're awesome!
Gosh i love your kitchen and your organisation my kitchen is half you size and yeah to have organised like this i would just have to throw everything not cake related and stop cooking lolll. Very usefull video love that you don't always make straight cake tutorial.
hahaha yes, a lot of our food is all stuffed together in the remaining over head cupboards LOL Thanks so much for the feedback - I'm never sure if I'm making the right content! haha x
@@Cherrycakeco you always are
You are Amazing and thanks I am a new subscriber
Awww welcome! Thank you so much x
Oh my goodness! I am SO envious of all that space you have and your amazing collection of everything! It would be really interesting to see how you go about all the 'behind the scenes' stuff that some customer's don't even know to exist in this line of business. Do you have set days for replying to emails/enquiries, website/social media updating, any useful tips you have for keeping orders, invoices, receipts organised, ideas on how to keep a good work-life balance?
Hey Abby! All that is answered in my vlogs - which are very much behind the scenes! haha In a previous vlog I ordered some A5 clear pockets to keep my receipts in etc, and explain what days I do my baking/ganaching/decorating. But I will do a stand-alone video so it's easier to refer people to :D haha you're right there...lots more working going on than living here too lol
Little Cherry Cake oh I am one of your avid weekly blog watchers 😉 I would love to see more cake decorators vlogging the way you do! A video dedicated to the admin side of things would be fab though (when you get the time) 🖤
@@abbyleanne86 oh awesome! Thank you :D Sure! I'll pop it on my list :D xxx
Amazing, you have such a large work surface to use! Could you do a video on how you price/quote for your cakes please? Im so lost sometimes when i get asked to do one and feel like im not pricing them correctly x
Yep, this video has been on my to-do list for a while!
Little Cherry Cake amazing it would be so helpful thank you, i look forward to the video 😊😊
That’s a ton of supplies! How many cakes do you roughly complete each month?
Wow your organizational skills are off the charts! Do you not have a seat or sit at all when making cakes?
Thank you! No, I move around too much when making cakes - transferring paste to the cake, getting up to get a mould or cutter - its just easier to stand! lol
Love love ♥️
Girl, I feel you! I have my stuff super organized. I couldn’t find anything any other way!!
Love the video. Where did you get the large letter cutters?
How annoying is it when someone puts a cutter or mould where it shouldn't be - it takes forever to find! hahaha I think i got them from Culpitt? Used them probably a maximum of 3 times LOL x
My parents help me at my little shop and never put things back where they are supposed to go. Thankfully it’s mostly just pans. They don’t mess with my molds and such.
The long counter space is amazing! May I ask where did you get the organizer for your fondant tools?
Thanks! The rainbow drawers? Those were Hobbycraft :D x
Great idea to post this. Thanks! I'm hitting IKEA this weekend ;)
Ooooof storage central!!!! Have fun!
@@Cherrycakeco I don't think we have that here in Orlando, Florida. We have the Container Store which is similar, but very pricey lol.
Where do you get foam mats that size? I haven't seen those anywhere.
Thank you so much for this video. Where do you keep your cake tins?
They are in the cupboard underneath my mixers. All just round ones stacked inside each other :D x
Such a fab video!! Is this your work kitchen or do u use this for the home cooking too? Such a lovely setup hun!!
Thanks! yes this is my only kitchen. The area off to the sink is where I do my meal cooking :D
Thank you for a great video :) I was just wondering, where are the white drawers from? They are much nicer than others I have been researching to buy for additional storage. Thank you in advance :)
Thank you! I bought them online from Ebay, but then a few weeks later found the same ones in Wilkos and Home Bargains! You juist have to keep your eyes peeled as they do pop up in shops nopw and again x
And I thought I had a lot of cake stuff! Is this the same kitchen you cook for your family in or is it only for your cake business? My hubby got so fed up with all my cake stuff that he built me a "cake kitchen" in my basement & I only make cakes part time (for fun). Wish I was as organized as you. Thanks for the storage tips. 😊
Yes! I only use the end near the hob to cook :D ha ha I wish I had a separate space! Then I could shut the door on the mess and pretend it wasn't there haha x
Any suggestions on how to store all the sizes of parchment cake rounds? I currently keep the ones that will fit in ziploc bags, but it's not the best system.
Hi! yes, I store mine in office letter trays! Like these that you can keep stacking up. I can fit my 5" and 6" in one tray: amzn.to/3S8GW1r
What a lovely tidy set of cupboards.
How do you manage to cook for the family around all your caking.
X
Thanks! My cakes are usually over on the other end of the kitchen by tea time near my plastic drawers, and I do my cooking over near the hob :D
Little Cherry Cake - you are so organised.
I binge watched your vlogs yesterday
Keep up the good work - love you x
@@debbiekaya4695 ha ha thank you for watching Debbie! x
That's awesome! Your kitchen is much bigger than mine, storage-wise. I'm lucky enough to have my own little cake decorating room where I have a big table and also cupboards and those containers on rolls. I have a question though :-) When you bake your cakes, how long are you cooling them, how long after baking do you put them in the tupperware? And how long do you leave them in the tupperware? Do you freeze them afterwards? I still haven't figured the best time out when to bake the cakes if I have an order for let's say Saturday. I usually bake them the day before decorating and do the rest on the next day. I know that you bake on one day, fill and cover them the next and then decorate them, right?
Hi! These questions have been asked a lot so I'm going to shoot a video for my usual baking week routine :D I already go through bits in previous videos but would be handy to have them all in one place! If I have an order for Saturday, I bake Tuesday, ganache Wednesday and cover in paste, decorate Thursday/Friday x
@@Cherrycakeco Awesome, thank you
How did you start with your bussiness
😃👍👍 whre do u keep the cakes boxes ??
loved ur squeaky round box
I have a cupboard under the stairs where I store a few - the rest of them are stored at my husbands workplace (He works for a storage company!)
awsm😄love ur videos👍love frm india🤗
How did you start baking as a bussiness
Hey luc the kitchen . asking how do you store your cake over night or after they have benmen chocolate
Hi, they just sit out on the worktop :D x
@@Cherrycakeco thank you so much your video have deen so much help in my life .. Keep doing your thing .... One more... ?.... If my cake are do on the weekend how many days can they be done and sit on wrk top before going to the customer
Hi .I hope you don't mind me asking where did get your white drawer from .
Sue
Hi! the one under the worktop? I originally got them from ebay, but the exact same ones are being sold right now in Home Bargains and are much cheaper! x
Hey great video .. where do you order all your stuff from .. ie sugar paste, drums and stuff ?? Is there a particular website u use ? Oh and what butter would recommend and use pls ?
Thanks! I currently buy from Cake Stuff, but I pick up bits from everywhere really :D The butter I use is Aldi unsalted butter and previously used Tesco unsalted xx
Thanks very much I use same butter ... I am quite new to cake making business although been baking cakes for years and years but have decided to follow my dream .. I love watching your channel and others as I have found it so inspirational thanks again for advice xx
Do you make cakes for orders? As well do you buy your cake boards? The ones shown in the video
I do, I buy them from Cake Stuff xx
Loved the video, is this kitchen only for your cake making or is this your family kitchen also? Thanks x
Thanks! Yes this is our main kitchen in the house :D x
@@Cherrycakeco thanks for replying :0) I've been humming and hawing about registering my kitchen in order that i can advertise etc. but a bit scared. I do the odd cake just now ... great to see how you store all of your cakeage. xx
Hi, Tracey. You are very well organized. You are very beautiful, very cute, and very sweet. I can't wait to see what your Cinderella (1950) cake looks like. What's your best tip for making rainbow frosting? Take care of yourself, cutie pie.
Thank you!
Do you not use cake boxes? How do you transport your cakes? Thanks for sharing. ☺
Yes I do, there's lots of snippets showing me delivering cakes throughout my vlogs :D I use white packing boxes x
@@Cherrycakeco .. very well organized.. please can you suggest where do you buy your cake boards and boxes?.. thanks
I thought it was just me that is a messy cake maker. My husband comes in from work and just looks at the mess shakes his head and walks away 😂
pahaha no, I get stuff EVERYWHERE!!
What fondant brand do you use?
Couture paste in white, and renshaws for colours :D x
what are the acupuncture needles used for?
They are for popping air bubbles in sugarpaste :D x
What do you use the acupuncture needles for? I'm guessing air bubbles in fondant or gum paste!?!
I sure do! They work great, I also use them for holding templates on if it needs it too x
@@Cherrycakeco Oh yeah, I forgot about using them that way too! I usually just use a dab of fondant that I mixed with water to make a thin glue like substance and tack down the corners of my template!
I'm just wondering do you make your cakes from scratch
I do! xx
Of course she does! She is a 💕professional.
Wow! Tracey where do you buy your 10kg of chocolate ?
Online! I dont have a regular supplier - I just google 10kg of dark chocolate Callebaut and buy from who is cheapest at the time as it can fluctuate - especially with postage!
There are so many different ones which one do you use?
@@oliviabel1 just the regular dark chocolate callets. Brown bag, cream front with the text on :D They looks like little chocolate drops! x
I need a bigger kitchen
Where is your food?! 🤣
In all the over head cupboards, fridge and freezer lol x
