Sorry for the loss of your dad 😢. I Love his models. Things that that make life worthwhile 👍
That is a awesome collection....follow your dad's joy and passion...take care of them!"🙂
You are a lucky guy !
Iiiooooooo99900oooooooooooooooooooooo9o 0:41 😅
Your dad was a real colector
Your dad had a super collection of die-cast. Looks like they were stored in an attic or garage loft. With a little cleaning they will look sharp
Thanks for sharing some of your dada's collections. Awesome stuff.
Thanks!!
Your Daddy had quite the collection. They would look great cleaned up.
Wonderful video. You must clean t5hem and place them in shelfs, a sort of "man cave". It's the best way to preserve your fathers memory and pass the legacy to your kids.
Lucky to have memories!❤
Oh wow, a very special collection to have and be proud of Matthew. 🙂
Cool collection. My condolences. Losing a parent is hard! I lost my dad last July.
Very cool Mathew. I lost my dad in January 2020. I actually got his die cast vehicles. Not as many as yours but enough to a special shelf. I admire them regularly. It's a good memory
Very nice video bro....sure felt good walking down memory lane with your dads toys...keep healthy
Brilliant video,some great memories 👏
You've got some rare cars there brother. They really deserve to be cleaned up and put out for show. Thanks for sharing .🙂👍🇨🇦
That’s a really special collection to have. It’s great seeing how much your dad meant to you. It would take a loonnngggg time, but you could unscrew those and clean them all up. My favorite was probably the SEARS Craftsman Jeep. That was too cool with the landscaping equipment.
Beautiful cars.
Very nice collection. You have a wonderful collection. Thanks for sharing.
Matt that's so cool you need to find a place to put them up and enjoy them I am sure it would make you happy to be able to look at them plus there were your Dad's it a win win 😁👍👍👍👍
That's a nice collection I wish I had but I do a lot of nice stuff.
Such a wonderful collection from Dad. Thanks for sharing.
Wow your dad as collected some super cool models..look after them ....

That tub is worth a million dollars 💵.

Mike

Your dad had a good eye
Very nice video bro...sure felt good walking down memory lane with your dads toys....always stay healthy😊
Thanks!
Great collection!! Best of all, great memories!
Great collection Matthew, love the mention of the Earl Scheib paint job
Your dad had quite an impressive Die Cast collection!!
When i kick the bucket , there are going to be happy individuals when they get my stash ! Lol
Absolutely awesome. Thanks for this video. Aren’t Dads great!!!
Mathew, I want to thank you for showing your dad’s collection. That is awesome. I will be turning 74 in October. I remember all those cars and trucks. If that was my collection I would fine a special cabinet clean them up and display them. I really enjoy your channel. It will take me awhile to get through all your videos. I don’t mind though, going through kind of a ruff spot. Found out I have prostate cancer. Going through this journey with a positive attitude and catching up on your videos. Please don’t change your format regardless what some people criticize you for. They don’t know what a honest down to earth person you are. Also want you to know I have been building models since I was 11. Thank You.👍👍👏👏👏👏🤝
Belle Die Cast --
Very nice collection, I was always a collector. But my dad had a Franklin mint that I inherited along with my hundreds of my own car collection.
Once I do a video you will see
awesome story and cars
Cool!
Cool collection of cars and trucks, i really like those old 50's work trucks with the construction stuff in the back, really awesome. Then that "nomad" was actually just a regular station wagon pretty sure.
Nomads have a lower roofline and slanted pillars.
Still a cool tri5 wagon👌
Sweet collection! The ones with failing paint and rust I call character cars. In my collection, I have anything and everything.
👍🏻👍🏻
It's really cool that your able to have them.. I didn't get a chance to get anything of my Dad's before or after he passed.. And I wish I did, but we had a difference of opinion many , many years back. And we didn't speak again until 25-26 years later.. And he passed away a year after we started talking to each other again. So it's cool that you have something of his that he really enjoyed.🙏
Thanks
Nice cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Awesome!!!
Amazing collection!
Thanks!!
Cool 😎 Vette!!..I have a 1/43 63 Split Window Vette...
That’s cool my dad has some model cars he built when he was a kid that I’m gonna restore on my channel
Great video Mathew, so cool to have your Dads die cast collection. Thanks for sharing them with us. Rick 😎✌️
Thanks Rick!!
Very cool cars, get em cleaned up and in a display case to honor your pops.
Great collection 👍
Matt.. I have quite a few of those... ya got some I wouldn't mind having.... they are 32nd scale. Great collection. 👍 👍👍🙏🙏
A great collection! Those models deserve to be carefully cleaned and put in a special place in your home.
Awesome collection. Very Cool you have them!!!!! When you get your 2nd container you should make a place to display them. Thanks for sharing
What an awesome video Mathew! Thanks for sharing! Warmed your heart!!
Thanks Billy
Oh my those are just fantastic! I recently picked up a collection of over 40 built kits that were wrapped in newspapers from 1980 that had been in an attic for 40 years. I really enjoy digging through old collections like that. It must bring back some beautiful memories for you. Awesome video and thanks for sharing! 👍👍
Cool video Matt, great memories for you, awesome collection!
Very cool Matt. Good stuff!
I've got the Wix Filters 1/24 Die Cast 56 T Bird and 1/24 66 GT40... both are beautiful models!!
Die-cast models are pretty cool but I think I like plastic models so much better, but it's pretty awesome to see the things your father collected is awesome, I have a 1953 Studebaker and it's an awesome kit.
Cool cars..
You should make a shelf for them.
👍🏻👍🏻
Шикарная коллекция!-.поздравляю..мне бы хоть часть,,,!!
Awesome collection Matt. The Buicks opened from the side for many years and they would open from either side. Ron
Matt, I inherited the carbureted sohc, plus a 427 fe, and a hot rod small block Chevy, they shined up great and have a dominant spot on my shelf.
The 900rd like mine
I just started watching your videos today. A good clean up without much trouble would be to use some F-11. I believe that would be a quick clean up with not much trouble or work and I am betting they will really shine.
Thanks for the info!
Great collection.....already subscribed
Cadillac paint is the original color rose..
Is not damaged or discoloured as u said.
Therefore, the rest of collection pieces are in a completely different level.
A passionate, true collector can afford to pay a mini fortune for that collection..
Yes i can tell you what each one of these are. Have been into car and motorcycles all of my life. Born in 1947
👍🏻👍🏻
Sorry to hear about your dad, my dad died on February 27, 2017 a month before my birthday.
I've got a lot of Die Cast cars in 1/18 to 1/64 scale in my collection as well as 1/24,1/25 and 1/32 model kits I've built....
I wonder what my kids will do with my collection? I got 30 or more vintage tonka vehicles all mint, about 15 of the scale he is showing, 12 1/18 scale and close to 9 thousand hot wheels, huge box of HO cars and 2 tracks , 10 model cars some built, huge box of nascar stuff a train set about 30 small Harley bikes several collectable bicycles pedal tractors ect, hope they keep some of it.
Wow!!
Hi Matt, I enjoyed seeing your daddys cars and trucks. The one 30's truck probably had a floor shift and the other lever was the hand brake. For several years the Buick hood could open from either side. There was a hood release on both sides under the dash. If both releases were pulled the hood could be lifted off the car. I believe Buick stopped that feature in 1952. Also the 1955 Chevy was a sedan delivery rather than a Nomad. I really enjoy the videos and look forward to your next one.
I think Jay Leno talked about the Buick hood once. That's how I knew about being hinged on both sides.
Thanks!!
Clean them with lemon pledge and a soft cloth spray them generously then carefully buff clean
Wash and wax those gems, put them in bubble wrap and never let them go. Your dad would want you take good care of them.
Hopefully you can repaint the ones that have damaged paint ..
On the real 41 Buick the hood can open from either side
They look more realistic with the dust on them
👍🏻👍🏻
The Studebaker car at the beginning is a Golden Hawk. The Super Bee has a 440 six pack with the A-12 package the "fiberglass" hood is not supposed to be hinged, it's just held on with those 4 hood pins. The Jolly Good ice cream truck was probably supposed to be a Good Humor Ice Cream truck, but they couldn't/wouldn't pay the licensing fee. On your Jeep bank it looks like the wooden box in the back is hinged at the rear upper panel that probably lifts up to put your life savings in. I have the 41 Plymouth P/U in red and black and the 37 ford P/U in green and also the Wix 40 Ford dirt tracker.
👍🏻👍🏻
5 windows 1 windscreen.
The Cadillac and Plymouth do not have a paint problem, it's zinc pest. The metal is corroding. They will eventually fall to pieces.
I collect diecast cars and that is an awesome collection and i can tell it means alote to you
👍🏻👍🏻
I have about 2000 Hot Wheels unopened, About a 100 model kits, That I'll pass down to my grandson and I hope he enjoys them. Of course I told him never to open the Hot Wheels.
It's likely that the metal is the reason some of those have paint fracturing. As a collector of 1:24 diecast who participates on hobby forums, many of us have seen this begin to happen on cars we purchased less than 5 years prior.
They mixed batches of metal in China that did not meet the correct formula, just using any salvage metals they could find, thinking it didn't matter. But it does.
The Buick with side-opening hood actually opens from either side on the 1:1.
5:47 can't believe they used a cheap paint on Cadillac, which is not a car to scorn.
What looks like poor paint may be the casting cracking due to poor mixing of the alloy, many of the "entry" level Pacific
Rim models deteriorate over time with paint failures and thin chrome plating.
Earl Shives will paint any car for $29.95. Uh Oh , I think you better get Maaco.
Clean up with soft paint brushes and the F-11 will not show build up in the small cracks.
👍🏻👍🏻
That other shifter if for the four wheel drive I believe
Me I can name them all right away I’m a car guy too
Looks like most are 1/43 (others could be 1/32 or odd scale). I have about 50 1/43 fire and rescue equipment.
я думаю это не повреждение краски, это повреждение металла (цинка) на некоторых моделях, к сожалению
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I've got that 69 Super Bee...I believe it's a 1/24..
👍🏻👍🏻
That paint damage you're seeing is due to diecast rot. The metal itself is breaking down. I have about a 400 car collection from 1/18 to 1/64. I have many of these same cars in my collection.
When my dad passed he left me tubs of diacast cars
Scale and Maker mentioned at bottom ?
Benimde kinsmart welly markaların da ikiyuz kadar model arabam var
.Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe.
I inherited someone's collection of small car's, I have some other die cast car's truck's but they are much bigger than the one's I inherited then I have other one's that are a different size not shire what size they are bigger than Hot wheels or match box
It's not a second shifter it's the hand brake
the pickup truck w/2 levers meant it had a 2 speed rear end . if made by Columbia , the early hot rod people loved those and called them Columbia 'fannys' . so far i know most of the cars and trucks , used to go to antique tractor , antique car or antique gas engine shows every weekend in the summer late 60s to mid 70s , my dad raced paved ovals in the early 60s and was a mechanic for a living , so i had a wrench in my hand young .
s.o.h.c. stands for single overhead cam
55 chevy bank may say Nomad but w/out windows in the back it was called a sedan delivery the 40 ford race car is a 39 i think also . the sides of the hood that are off are like a '39 .
53 jeep is actually a Willys my Gramp had one with a pick-up bed til the mid 70s
last thing a link to the song The Hot Rod Race that mentions a Columbia tranny , the song was the pre-cursor to Hot Rod Lincoln ! ua-cam.com/video/OZE5TUAX-ok/v-deo.html
the original version of Hot Rod Lincoln also ..... i know i know its a model group not a music one sorry , couldn't help myself ua-cam.com/video/e58NJU5B3v8/v-deo.html
