If I may ask just one question which is key to whether I buy this mixer-
Does it reach to the bottom and sides of the bowl when creaming butter and sugar together please / adding flour to a mixture etc or would I still have to scrape the sides down and bottom to get mixture perfectly blended? ?

It’s a great mixer but yes, you do still have to scrape the sides.

I can’t get the attachments to fix in on mine… help?
On mine it is impossible to put the whisk or any of the doug attachments into the machine. It doesn't fit. Such a disappointment as I bought this ALDI unit but it cannot be used. IT looks easy in this video to just slide it in or off. In reality it's not working.
How frustrating. It must be faulty. I would take it back for exchange or refund.
We have had no problems with ours and use it regularly.
One question? Have you tried making bread in it yet? If so, did it strain, or did it seem to have enough power for mixing bread dough. I use my wife's Kitchen Aid mixer for bread making, but it's a heavy tank, to say the least. I'd like a lighter unit, and the price on this one seems very affordable! 7:43
No we haven’t tried bread. We’ve made some quite dense fruit cakes and it works great for those.
the stand mixer looks so helpful!
My only gripe with this machine is, I wish the top cane further up and gave you more space to clean the mixture from the sides of the bowl. I find it a bit awkward unless you remove the mixing attachment but otherwise its very good.

I noticed you said this mixer is/was $49.99. I just checked the Aldi sale ad for here (Missouri) this week. It’s in there on sale for $69.99!! Wow another BIG jump in price!! It’s beyond ridiculous at this point. Thank you for the video. Well presented and helpful. 4/5 months later after posting, do you think at this price point it is worth it? Trying to figure out which brand would be better for the price point.
It’s £49.99 in the UK and definitely worth it. I still use this in a regular basis and it’s really helpful to have in the kitchen. Hope this helps. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
@Bobbi Hill - I’m researching this mixer also. The version in our US stores have 6 speeds verses this one’s 8 speed. I also noticed that the one in our stores are 350 watts. I’m sure the wattage is due to power capacity by country. $69.99 sounds like a great buy, but I’m still unsure.

Thank you for this really helpful review - I have been considering this mixer and your review was super useful not only in features but the sound it makes (reviews have said it was loud). I have two questions i hoped you could answer pls 1) did you find that the mixer left items on the bottom unmixed (ie the butter looked like only the top was mixing) and 2) do you need to keep the clear lid on when mixing? Thanks in advance for this great review!!
Thank you )) You need to scrape around the bowl every now and then to keep everything mixing. I haven't actually tried it without the lid, I would have checked for you but unfortunately I've had to pack it up ready for moving house in a couple of weeks :o)
