Lucy *IS* a celestial spirit wizard, not a 'potential' celestial spirit wizard. Lucy can, and does, use the keys to summon celestial spirits, with whom she has a contract. Lucy couldn't use Urano Metria until now, only because *she was NOT aware of it* . Hibiki, all he does is pass on the knowledge of this spell to her. Lucy wouldn't have been able to use Urano Metria before this point anyway. As strong as her will is (we saw it when she saved Leo, opening all the gates of her spirits in a single moment), she didn't have enough magic to withstand such a spell... in short, if she had known it in the first episode of the series, Lucy would 100% be dead, or no longer be able to use magic.😂

To be fair there is implication that Hibiki was relatively close to Karen - obviously as both were in the same guild. His Archive possessing the memory of that spell, likely implies that he got it to teach it to Karen, maybe even as a way to help her do work without ability to summon spirits. Obviously he never got to do it for her (he could have potentially gotten it from her, tbh - but it wouldn't make a lot of sense, because if she had it - she definitely would have used it against Angel and wouldn't die).
I love Lucy’s character development. We saw her starting out with only a few keys. She then saved Loki and got herself new keys, along with her own weapon and direct support from the Celestial King. She hasn’t really escaped the damsel in distress cliches, but, she went from having someone else saving her all the time to becoming capable of saving herself on certain situations and even winning fights on her own. Her best arc was definitely Tártaros. It cemented Lucy’s prowess and her incredible strength. Lucy like the rest of her guild mates, have the same resolution and she’s so strong. She might not be as powerful as Natsu, but she’s in her own league where she was able to defeat hardcore enemies (hardcore for her state) and turn the tables of the future of herself and her friends. She summoned three spirits at a time despite being tired and bombarded by soldiers. She still stood up to try fight with her own weapon. And when it came down to it, she did what she have to in order to keep fighting. And now, she’s the first (known) Star Dress user to ever grace the screen. Her arc became so complete that it’s so good to see. She went from a newbie mage to join Fairy Tail as it was the strongest magic guild in Fiore, into becoming somewhat a competent mage herself. I dare say that she surpasses the likes of Eve, Bickslow, etc. I’m not sure if she would be at Mira’s level, but I don’t think so. Mira is just a whole another league. I wish we could see more of Mira too. Basically, despite the whole ’ecchi’ stuff going on, Mashima knows how to write female characters. They give them depth. I’m here for it.

Lucy is channeling the power of the stars through this realm (we could actually speculate that those are giant Lacrimas that keep each spirit alive and charged, and are the reason why they can't survive outside Spirit's realm for long). It has never been explained - but we can speculate that Celestial Spirits are either just some alien other-dimensional beings or they are akin to demons from the books of Zeref (like Lullaby or Deliora), where they were created by someone in Ancient times and hidden within a separate dimension. Magic Circles are anime-only thing, so we shouldn't really consider magic-aligment through them. But it is all obviously connected. Mind you Magic Circles for Uranometria and Heavenly Body Magic both are yellow and include stars in design, but they are a little different (HBM has giant star across the whole circle - Uranometria has small star in the centre with intricate pattern around). Lucy is able to use Urano Metria again on her own accord by summoning Gemini and commanding them to copy herself which allowed her to double her magical powers. She used it in Fairy Tail's longest arc ever, the Grand Magic Games. This arc is WILD.

Archive despite its lack of combat power is such a fascinating spell. It gives you access to the ways of manipulating data. We see here with Lucy that with it, you can forcibly give someone the knowledge to cast a spell. You can even force their body to cast it perfectly. The only limiting factor would be if the caster doesn't have enough magic to cast it or doesn't have the capability to cast it. In this case he trusted that Lucy has the capability to cast this spell, she just lacks the knowledge of it. It's kinda like not knowing you're talented with a skateboard but can actually do it if you just tried. The only thing that Archive did here is to give Lucy the chance to cast the spell and rest is history.
From how Eve say about Urano Metria can be used by celestial wizards,I think there are still lots of it out there...And I just realized it lately...I assumed celestial wizards's magic skill are rare..just like their gold keys are truly limited rare items.
Lucy and jellals magic is the same magic type it is the magic of the stars and the spell Lucy did is a star base magic spell and she learns other cool spells way later on
Not necessarily, they both are used to channel the power of the stars, but we very much know that there are no spirits hidden on each star. Celestial Spirits aren't necessarily the stars or constellations themselves - more like creatures based on the idea itself. They come from separate realm - making Celestial Spirit Magic and Heavenly Body Magic different thing. They both are connected to light of the stars and the sky, so they are closely inclined, but they are not the same magic type. Especially as Lucy for most part uses holder summoning magic and Jellal is a caster.

Your comment is the equivilent of saying "fire dragon slayer magic and regular fire magic are the same so this regular fire wizard shouldve used fire dragon roar". Totally not judging but this is definitely a reason I prefer dub. Idk if its a me problem or not, but I honestly struggle trying to differentiate voices in sub shows, so if someone is talking off screen, or there is more than one person talking, I have no idea who it is. But yeah Gemini's magic is copying another person, gaining all their knowledge and magic power. So they saw Lucy's memories about her history with spirits.
People seriously do not realize how much they rely on subtitles and playing the voices their head when they watch sub. It took learning Japanese to really understand this but the difference in quality in Japanese and English VAs is just not at all what people claim. It seems like a meme from the early 2000s when there was a noticeable difference that people just never moved on from. The much bigger difference is just how unprofessional the English VA team in general is. Most of the VAs are out-of-touch progressives and their leadership has absolutely no command and control of the production schedule. When they actually do their jobs they are on par with Japanese VAs most of the time.

Like here urano metria ended with "the 88 stars", when in dub its "the 88 heavenly bodies" which makes more sense since the spirits are based on the 88 consellations. Angels introduction in the dub also feels like it establishes how she thinks of the spirits earlier, here she just say "im a celestial wizard too" instead of the dub line of "celestial spirits make the best tools" or her constantly calling them pets

Lucy is able to use Urano Metria again on her own accord by summoning Gemini and commanding them to copy herself which allowed her to double her magical powers. She used it in Fairy Tail's longest arc ever, the Grand Magic Games. This arc is WILD.

We could even speculate that he found it so she could still do magic - after Leo took her summoning spot or it was just something he would have taught her later on. Archive despite its lack of combat power is such a fascinating spell. It gives you access to the ways of manipulating data.
We see here with Lucy that with it, you can forcibly give someone the knowledge to cast a spell. You can even force their body to cast it perfectly.
The only limiting factor would be if the caster doesn't have enough magic to cast it or doesn't have the capability to cast it. In this case he trusted that Lucy has the capability to cast this spell, she just lacks the knowledge of it. It's kinda like not knowing you're talented with a skateboard but can actually do it if you just tried. The only thing that Archive did here is to give Lucy the chance to cast the spell and rest is history.

Lucy and jellals magic is the same magic type it is the magic of the stars and the spell Lucy did is a star base magic spell and she learns other cool spells way later on
Not necessarily, they both are used to channel the power of the stars, but we very much know that there are no spirits hidden on each star. Celestial Spirits aren't necessarily the stars or constellations themselves - more like creatures based on the idea itself. They come from separate realm - making Celestial Spirit Magic and Heavenly Body Magic different thing. They both are connected to light of the stars and the sky, so they are closely inclined, but they are not the same magic type. Especially as Lucy for most part uses holder summoning magic and Jellal is a caster.

Your comment is the equivilent of saying "fire dragon slayer magic and regular fire magic are the same so this regular fire wizard shouldve used fire dragon roar". Two things being similar do not make them the same, theyre based on space and the star but operate very differently. One is caster magic and the other is holder magic

Celestial magc uses summoning constellations aka zodiac spirits which are parts of celestial bodies ( plantes, starts), heavenly body magic use heavenly aka celestial bodies planets, stars, meteors, grand chariot aka a mere constalation,etc ...... Plus you have google it's free knowledge on just one klick. SO YES IT IS THE SAME MAGIC JUST DIFFERENT VARIATIONS. Plus Eza needed celestial armour to do grand chariot. Totally not judging but this is definitely a reason I prefer dub. Idk if its a me problem or not, but I honestly struggle trying to differentiate voices in sub shows, so if someone is talking off screen, or there is more than one person talking, I have no idea who it is. But yeah Gemini's magic is copying another person, gaining all their knowledge and magic power. So they saw Lucy's memories about her history with spirits.

People seriously do not realize how much they rely on subtitles and playing the voices their head when they watch sub. It took learning Japanese to really understand this but the difference in quality in Japanese and English VAs is just not at all what people claim. It seems like a meme from the early 2000s when there was a noticeable difference that people just never moved on from. The much bigger difference is just how unprofessional the English VA team in general is. Most of the VAs are out-of-touch progressives and their leadership has absolutely no command and control of the production schedule. When they actually do their jobs they are on par with Japanese VAs most of the time.

that is because you are not use to hearing japanese, when i started watching english show it took me some time to differentiate some voices, but its just until you get used to hearing that specific language
@@mateussoares3569 tbf dub does miss with phrases sometimes. Like here urano metria ended with "the 88 stars", when in dub its "the 88 heavenly bodies" which makes more sense since the spirits are based on the 88 consellations. Angels introduction in the dub also feels like it establishes how she thinks of the spirits earlier, here she just say "im a celestial wizard too" instead of the dub line of "celestial spirits make the best tools" or her constantly calling them pets
