- Kishore Kumar passed away on 13 October 1987 on the day of his brother Ashok Kumar's birthday. Kishore Kumar had planned a party for his brother but destiny had other plans. Kishore Kumar suffered a massive heart attack and passed away before medical help could arrive. Kishore Kumar songs and his voice lives on.

Being a super fan of KK we just could not believe our ears that GuruJi was no more ...Incidentally, that was Wednesday, The Chitrahar day. All the songs were by Guru ji.. and the first one was "Teri duniya se Hoke majboor....." The gem.... The greatest Entertainer of all time in Indian Film History. A powerhouse of talent.

So far I can remember on the saddest day there was India Versus England one day world Cup match was there.We heard the news in the evening can't believe one of the evergreen singer ,no more,few months back we watched a live program at maligaon railway stadium,Guwahati,Assam So it hurts me a lot. Just think the composition of Anand Baxi,R,D Barman & Kishore Kumar,not getting this test now a days.We are really missing you KK.. wherever you are be Happy You gave us lots of entertainment.salam

It was a shocker for me! I was buying Kishore Da’s cassettes from a shop in Liberty, Lahore, and the radio was catching Indian transmission.
Three days back I had just joined NCA for my degree and the first thing I was buying was one of the cassettes with his latest songs, and then the shop keeper and I heard the news! While holding the cassette in my hands , I looked up at him and then the cassette and he was just staring!
It was one of those rarest moments in life which leaves one contemplating how fragile life is! I can never ever forget that moment! God embrace him and keep him in peace, ameen

If he had lived a little longer than he would have easily ruled the 90s and 00s era and many of my 90s favourite songs would have been sung by him but still I can imagine his voice in those songs.

We were small kids when we saw on Lehren the demise of our favourite singer Kishoreda. We were in disbelief seeing funeral of our Kishoreda. God bless his soul. Wish he had lived longer to atleast sing the songs of early 90s. He is a part of my everyday life.

Simply speechless no words can flow and describe the feelings on such a sudden hearbreaking incident. All i can say about Kishore Kumar was he came, he saw, he conquered and left us suddenly by giving his fans a tremendous blow which no one would ever forget.

God is sometimes unjust. I wish I were born during Kishoreda’s time. Watching this video saddens me to the extreme and I feel the pain I can’t even put into words. The sad version of “Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna” towards the end of the video almost killed me.
I am having a painful smile on my face right now, thinking although Kishoreda has passed away, but his memories will live in our hearts forever in form of his heavenly voice💔

No doubt...one of the most loved singer and actor. Loved all the Gangulys ♥️ especially a soft corner for Ashok Kumar...I was startled to know the suspense of JEWEL THIEF. Coming to Kishore Kumar..I loved him in every roles of his, be it Half Ticket or the trio Gangulys in Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi. Kishoreda's voice was just magnetic! No one can come close to his voice and mannerism.

Legends like him will not be born again. I was in Asansol on that day and only around 5 yrs old so don't remember much, just someone told that he passed away. The actual realization happened only when I grew up.
