The new Super Auto Pets pack is here with the arrival of the new Unicorn Pack! This update brings a ton of new changes, the largest being the addition of 84 new pets and some new food / equipment and ailments, alongside the new mechanic, mana! As well as a new night varient for every background that alternates every turn, a nerf to the wolf bringing an end to it's overpowered infinite gold strategy. In this Super Auto Pets achievement hunting run I aimed to get the level 3 good dog and achieve the good dog ribbon. The good dog can be gained by selling a questing beast and choosing the holy grail toy, which will add one holy water to the shop food slots. This holy water can be used to either add 8 hp to a pet, or transform a bad dog into a good dog! The good dog is one of the only secret pets with abilities, and at the start of combat it will spam your other pets with random good equipment (increasingly more with each level!), which can actually be synergised with axolotl and elephant seal since they both give stats to other pets whenever they recieve a perk. It took me a couple of tries to get the win, but this good dog strategy seems amazing and actually pretty viable in it's own right, I'd recommend giving it a go :D

I only realised afterwards that I could have just moved the tigers / parrots around to get the rest to 50/50 even faster, but oh well lmao
For anyone who cares why, keenoe's setup here is adding 3/3 3 times per perk given by good dog. For a total of 9/9 but if he had the tiger behind the dog, it would throw 2x perks while the parrot and axolotl still give 3/3 2 times. Effectively 12/12 per perk. Really 6/6 but twice as many perks. The other option would be both parrot and tiger on good dog, but that's 3 perks each giving 3/3 so it's 9/9 again. Best outcome would be parrot and tiger split up with one behind axolotl and one behind tiger. Not that it matters, he got everything to 50/50 and won anyway lol.
Side note this is the kind of built that can actually use behemoth's ability.

Yeah that would have made it a lot stronger! I actually saw someone had run the build with a couple of behemoths like that a little while later (shout out to Terri!)
It’s kinda funny that good dog was partially better with lower stats since it healed your team after they got sniped

Kinda reminds me of old octopus. Hard to fully max and get it to work but broken when you do!
Funny enough I got the achievement the day before you posted this but I kinda tried to use it in a build with the behemoth, but it didn’t really work so I just scanned it with vampire bat. It worked, but I did not feel like I succeeded in the end.
i am pretty sure that the Devs saw that Dog and thought. Hmmm... all he does is being a silly little guy. he just randoms every food! what could happen? Axolotl Happens. it truly does.
I would enjoy seeing games that you only get to 8 or 9 trophies, if they last a while, like you mentioned at the start
It would create more tension, as I wouldnt just EXPECT a win
I probably will start to include more close games down the line, but sadly my videos with multiple runs all have a significant drop off between them (around half of everyone still watching clicks off after the first game most of the time), and it used to be worse if the first run lost (still reletively new to posting again though so I don't have a recent example of that to be fair)
I do kind of feel like I'm throwing away some fun runs by not posting them, but my thinking at the moment is that it's best to just open with a solid one and I didn't think it'd make much sense to post failed attempts afterwards

That’s rather interesting. Analytics can be brutal when it comes to things like that, so I totally understand. When your income is the result of numbers being as high as possible, you have to do whatever you can.

If you put Parrot behind Good Dog would that copy the perk giving and give some (and thus some scaling) to Good Dog as well?
Yup! At the time I didn't think about reshuffling for some reason, but running parrot-good dog & tiger-axolotl probably would have given more even scaling and actually included the good dog in it too
(also would have been fun to try tiger-parrot-good dog for max perk spam lmao)

Could've swapped out cyclops for a leopard then run the tiger parrot behind that for a brokem snipe build with max stats

I just have different goals for the main channel and it's been abandoned so long I doubt it'd get more attention there, going to be sticking with SAP here and start trying new things on @keenoe sometime in the future!

This was a custom pack I made, so I was just getting matched with other people in the custom pack arena pool

I can't remember what this would be refering to, but I hadn't played for a long time up until recently and I've been caught out by not getting a level reward by combining level 2s haha

It's not a secret ped. It's literally in the description of the food. The only secret pets are sloth and moby.
Whenever someone says secret pet, it’s usually pets that only show up on the achievement page after you get the achievement for them, otherwise they are completely hidden. It’s usually pets that come from pets like cricket and deer.
