Reading the comments and as a huge 112 fan, I can’t believe I’m the only who has a problem with them using the 112 name but Q and Daron are no longer a part of the group. Slim and Mike need to either just use their names or come up with a name for their duo. Nice song but the 112 legacy is not carried on without the other two members. The only times it’s acceptable to carry on a group legacy is when a group member(s) die or a group member(s) leave the group and they replace them. Neither happened in this situation. I can almost guarantee you that Q and Daron advised them to drop the name but they didn’t.
They should be able to use it. It's the brand that's being promoted, they keeping the name alive. If/when the other two shows up then it can keep moving. Some groups totally replace members like DruHill has done, even adding members from Playa and still being called Dru Hill.. Jagged Edges is out now so 112 name is out too. It's their right. 112 brand can't wait for all 4 to be around to be called 112 just to suit the fans. A lot of groups have done this. Was only 4 members anyways. Not like it was 6 and then became two still using the name like many Temptations groups. This isn't a BBD situation either. But I get it. Some fans can't move pass all the drama to give the music a fair shot.
