The girls did great, but the translator could've been better. I feel bad for the girls because they really want their fans to be able to understand them, but the language barrier is a little hard. I can tell Giselle was starting to doubt the translator's skills once she started speaking in English more than usual. Usually she entrusts the translators and talks in Korean, so her members can understand her. But, this time, she kinda had to pull out her English. Heck, at some point Jong-Kook was trying his best to translate for them when the translator couldn't, even though his English wasn't as fluent as Giselle's. You can even hear in the crowd, someone from a different POV commenting about how the translator said the wrong thing, or "that's not what she said". Also, the translator's voice was more like a robot. No inflections whatsoever and not mimicking the way the girls were talking as well. 🤨 Being a LIVE translator, you should almost speak as if you were the person you're translating for. Next time, they should really make sure their translator is well-trained and skilled, so that both the artists and the audience can interact with each other nicely and enjoy their time.
@lauranorris6976 Thank you! I appreciate your insight on this topic. I was curious as I was watching the show and felt something was off for sure. There were times, the translator did not attempt to translate the conversation on stage. Sometimes, the translation would come in late and overlap over a member speaking. At times, it was not very loud/clear to hear the translation. Giselle is fluent in english, so I'm glad she just avoided having to have everything translated. This also happened at different stages at KCON LA this year. The translation was off and the groups/members tried to use english as much as they could to avoid being mistranslated. I hope the event organizers can properly hire good translators at future events.
@@asian.pop.footage exactly they only have 30min... could have squeezed in 2 more songs or even 3 instead of this crap, think day 2 they asked the same questions, even the audience was tired of it
@@바보Queen Not a fan of the mutiple days with the same artists, especially, if they are just doing the same routine for each day. They just used them to secure sales. Maybe this type of performance is all they could afford to pay them. Not sure, but a solo show has to be the way to go next time. I'm glad I caught them a year ago with their full set. I have that set on this channel as well.

i thoguht they wasted 10 minutes of our time with stupid ass games, turns out it was 15mintes... piss me off
No doubt preferred a concert set as well! Or if they would have just played on one night? Double up the songs at least.

I did attend the show and verified again, and they're singing live. Hand mics are a good indication they are truly singing.
